S. Bouchard
So, I was hoping someone on this page could tell me how the following scenario is considered proper cust. svc. I have bought 5 Fords in a row. Have LOVED most of them (the transmission in the Focus was horrible)...not the issue this time. I was throwing around upgrading my 2018 Escape and called my local dealer (great folks) and was told the Edge has a mfg. rebate and I had a "personal offer" on the books (sure I do). This is where the issue comes in. All goes great - then it came down to completing the financing. The "personal offer" was taken off the table because I had moved...it was not expired as a matter of fact expires 4/2022. Because I moved??? HUH??? WHAT??? WHY???? Anyway, I decided to go ahead without the 1,250$ that was promised to me as my "personal offer". So, I go home from the dealership (MY NEW HOME/ADDRESS) only to find in my mailbox that very evening (at my new address) a "personal offer" brochure with an original address label at MY NEW address. WELL....quelle surprise!! YAY!!!! So I hurry to call the dealership and send them a photo of the brochure (I was still waiting for Edge to be delivered) and HUH?? WHAT?? to my very huge disappointment I am told SORRY!! Ford will not honor it because it is not my original address...HUH??? WHAT??? WHY??? They can send me the offer? They can send it to my new address, but they will NOT honor it. I am extremely disappointed in the treatment that I received and this has given me a very sour taste in my mouth for the Ford Motor Company. I sure hope no one else has to deal with this racket - OH WAIT!!!!!! Spoke to my dealership - who has filed an exemption at the direction of this Multi-Billion Dollar corporate company to try and get me my money (THANK YOU to my dealership, you guys are awesome) only to find out another customer has been denied their offer for the same reason - WHAT A RACKET!! HORRIBLE, SIMPLY HORRIBLE!!!!

They are "TRYING" to get you an exemption? Your old address and your "old" offer should have nothing to do with this-you have a new address and an offer sent to that address-case closed I would think. The only thing I would think that COULD effect this issue would be if you moved some distance- like into a completely different Ford zone or market area as I would think these "deals" are driven by which marketing area NEEDS sales incentives. But what do I know-just another opinion.

HORRIBLE, SIMPLY HORRIBLE!!!! Hi S. B. Call Ford Customer Relations yourself (or the number on the PCO, if there is one) and find out which of the two PCO's is still valid, which is not, and what is the real story. Relying on the information you provided: Even if the first one is invalid due to an "address change", the second one with your correct current address would then be valid. Let us know how you make out and good luck. Edited February 19, 2022 by bbf2530
