Utahoutdoors
I took my 16 F250 into my dealership for the recall on the DEF heater and they replaced the heater, DEF pump and sending unit. The truck now has the 50 miles to 50 MPH Code and the dealership can’t figure out how to fix it. They also said that Ford will not cover any of the cost to try to figure out what’s wrong with it. The dealership said they spend all day trying to fix it and are stumped. They said their diagnostics can’t identify what the problem is. The truck was showing the code for low DEF pressure when I took it in but was driving fine and the exhaust filter was working and it was using DEF normally. Now I have a dealer that is out of ideas and a truck that won’t work. Any ideas? Thanks
Dog breath
This is an issue with some places. They have parts replacers and no mechanics
Utahoutdoors
No kidding! I just took it to a diesel performance shop. The guy there said he would have it fixed no problem. He said they get lots of trucks right from this dealers service department. free recall repair turns in to lots of money. Lol
posh
I had mine replaced a while back because it went bad. No issues since, however, now trying to get the reimbursement now that I have 'the letter'.
