HollywoodBoiler
First time poster and looking for some guidance. I am in the process of doing a restomod on a 1967 F100 Short Bed pickup mounted to a 2005 Aviator drive-train. What would be the best way to go about getting it to be operational with current drive-train? I have received several "recommendations" from "frienemies" to just "covert to a LS and it'll be easy." Personally being a True Blue Oval stalwart, I think that is sacrilegious and really want to utilize the current complete drive-train.

95ripper
Do you have all the wiring and computer from the aviator? I have a breakdown of what is needed for the mustang version of these engines, I am not to sure what is different wiring wise to the aviator, but I would be happy to send that to you if you are looking to use the stock electronics. If you are, you will likely need someone to re-program the ECU to take out the PATS security system, but that can be down with a custom tune and a handheld programer. HollywoodBoiler
I do have all the wiring and computer from the avaiator. Have a buddy that has a HP Tuner but fears it will be too complex for him to figure all the emission and security checks to run without them.
