  1. The other thing on there is that it looks like the refreshed Edge will get the I4 ecoboost too....along with the new Explorer.
  2. I'm still not sold that we'll see EB engines standard in smaller car at this point in time, I feel that most of them will be premium engines added to higher trim levels in the Focus/Escape/etc...at least for the first couple years...
  3. I think the thing that happens with minivans is people hate them till they have one then they see how flexible they are...but I feel the same way as you do about it, though for some reason the C-Max with silders doesn't bug me as much as regular ole minivan
  4. I wouldn't worry too much about it, from the what has been stated with the Fiesta movement thing thats going on, Ford as always been saying Summer 2010 (just checked the fiestamovement website) with the Fiesta. Most of the people who get worked into frenzy about these cars are tire kickers and come up with excuses why they won't buy the car...You should see some of the idiots that are on the more popular Focus boards....makes me wonder about Gen Y as a whole thinking they can get their way with everything or bitching about it when they don't...the parents brought them up with too much sense of entitlement.
  5. Hmm interesting...Though the party line for the Fiesta was Summer 2010..not January of next year. The whole roll out of the Fiesta and Focus for next year, being together so closely always struck me as something out of the ordinary that Ford wouldn't do. Anyways, here is my prediction: Fiesta production starting April/May of next year, in dealerships by August. Focus production starting late 2010, November/December, in dealerships early 2011. But it also begs the question, why is Igor posting it on GMI and not here? I haven't seen him on here much as of late. Its only one source and who knows how accurate the info was prior to this....
  6. Don't fall into the Tar Pit on your way out the door.... Anyways, I'm suprised...there is no mention of a 3 door hatchback or Coupe in there..that could be the 10th model
  7. And its an Aktons (sp) cycle engine, which is different also
  8. I'd say it would be slotted as an optional engine above the base I4, though after thinking about it, this would be a better option for Ford: SE- 2.5L I4 SE/SEL 2.0L I4 EB SEL- 3.5L V6 Guess it all depends on how good of MPG's it gets and if Ford how much Ford has to improve its EPA numbers. Have a hard time swallowing that Ford will be putting more then two-three different engines (outside of Ecoboost versions) in any products besides the F-150
  9. http://www.autoguide.com/manufacturer/ford...drive-1145.html I do have to say I do miss my Mustang Seats not being able to fold down
  10. In all seriousness, how many tires are made in China? I know the last tow sets of tires I got came from South Korea and the next set I'm looking are from Germany :P
  11. I really don't see a 3 cyc engine coming to North America any time soon, unless we get the KA here.
  12. Thats what I dont get either...we go from "its copied from a Passat styling with a tall roof" to "OMG the car is fucking huge, but looks way better" It is a "big" car but it doesn't look gigantic...I need to see some more in person, I'm still cracking up that I saw a brand new Taurus in a town in WI that has about 8.5K people in it, yet where I live at where there is roughly 1.5 million people in two counties, I've yet to see on the road.
  13. Say what? Right now its not more then 24 months out...MAP starts building Focus next year, and I'd assume the Grand C-Max (too long of a name IMO) will go into production in early 2011. Though this does raise the question of is it gonna be built at MAP or down at Louisville? When is LAP supposed to be retooled for smaller cars? The rumors where that LAP would build bigger variants of the C car
  14. As much as I hate to say this, but Ford had serious issues with its cars back in the early 2000's with reliability...my family all got cars right around that time period and they all had sorts of major issues with them...mostly the typical problems that you read about on the internet with the cars (Explorer and Focus SVT) We've gotten new cars since (2006-2008-2010 models) then and all of them have been running like tops without any major issues
  15. Ok guys, for all you getting bent out of shape on the examiner.com, it goes by the closest major city that your ISP is located at...for example, I get lovely Newark, NJ as my "edition" at home, but when I'm at work, I get Arizona due to the US Army having its Internet based out of Fort Hauluiciah or how ever its spelled. Anyways, if you want more info- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Examiner.com And yes you do get paid by page views, so if you want to hurt him, don't click the link!
  16. I think they also started at 19999 in 1989, I ran across a cover of the SHO on Car and Driver while looking at this stuff and they had it listed for 20K
  17. In all seriousness, it seems like every new car that gets "its too heavy" comment to the point its annoying. What is a good weight? I think people are delusional if they can make a car weigh say 2800-3K lbs with all the added safety features and electronic do-dads that everyone wants in a car these days. Fox Mustang where "light" but people also forget they had a flexible flyer platform with no strength to it.
  18. Found this here: http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2005/08/SHOnTell/ And the 1999 SHO was $29,000 http://home.pon.net/hunnicutt/SHOpage.htm If anything the first and second Gen SHO where way over priced vs the current car...
  19. I remember for a fact that a 92-93ish Mustang GT went for about 15K or so back in the day..so lets see a 2010 Mustang GT starts at 30999, yet I hear no one complaining about its Price and if you punch it into the inflation calculator I found (Which only goes up to 2008) it should only list at 22K or so...
  20. Depending on what you have in that Montego...the new car only weighs 250lbs more then the 2005 Model when comparing it to regular 2010 Taurus Oh for all you bitching about the weight of the Taurus SHO, the Fusion Sport comes in at 3800lbs itself with AWD!
  21. the USD Accord is much bigger then the Euro Accord and I'll assume the Japanese accord. Its a Fullsized car when it doesn't have a sunroof in it.
  22. The problem is that if they don't finance our debt, they won't have anyone to buy their products...
