Take it to a reputable mechanic or dealer.

Either get a scan tool and become knowledgeable on Ford diagnostic codes or go to a dealer / reputable mechanic.

I just do not see the point of the fit, it does not get substantially better mileage than say a Focus and looks like sin currently and in the 09 remake. Heck its only marginally better than a civic. Really failing to see the point.... Oh and the Focus produces a better EPA score for air pollution if your into that sort of thing.
