  1. I cannot wait until Barack Hussein Obama is president.
  2. Ford Management is out right stupid no wonder this company has become a big loser. Norfolk Assembly Plant has shut down but Ford Management continues to pay the Union Chairman (a thug), the Union President (an incompetent), the Union Safety Representatives, the Union Health Benefits rep and others. Why? This company will go bankrupt then no one (except UAW reps) will get nothing especially the retirees.
  3. There is no need to bash any auto worker. If there is any bashing it should be towards UAW President Kimmons at Norfolk he seems to like slander other local unions and assembly plants. He needs to accept that NAP is soon to be only be a memory and he will still be a nobody.
  4. The only way to get the UAW leadership to pay attention to the rank and file is to quit paying union dues. The leadership is used to members complaining and will continue to ignore you. Quit paying union dues and you will get there attention along with there harassment.
  5. Did Ford pay these union members? This plant could be the next one to shut down.
  6. These are the type of union members that the UAW protects. No wonder Ford plants are shutting down No wonder Toyota workers do not want the UAW in there plants. The actions of these "good & loyal" Ford - UAW members are the cause of plants shutting down.
  7. What a sad, ungrateful bunch you are.
  8. Does anyone know how many Norfolk hourly workers with 30 years transferred to Detroit instead of retiring?
  9. King is an idiot and as all the rest at international they hate for the members to call the international offices.
  10. Local 919 dues should be transferred to Local 600. What has that got to do with anything? There is no reason to destroy someone elses property, but it does not mean the DTP workers did it.. Local 600 has its problems but Local 919 is famous for its backstabbing and backbiting. From what we hear Norfolk has one of the most corrupt unions in the UAW.
  11. Ford plant hails launch of new Super Duty December 19, 2006 LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The celebration wasn't supposed to take place Monday. Ford Motor Co. had planned to start producing its 2008 F-Series Super Duty truck line at the Kentucky Truck Plant in January. Ford Plant Hails Launch of New Super Duty Truck Best of luck to Louisville Truck Plant
  12. Call the federal labor board office and ask about unfair labor practices in your plant. If you have a legimate complaint they will handle it.
  13. Apparently you do not have the cozy relationship with Joe Lee that you thought you did.
  14. What's new, the UAW has been selling out the rank & file members for a very long time and it is going to get worse. Sorry about the Union Reps sell out but what did you expect? Did you tell the membership about previous special deals made at sub-councils (the ones that did not concern you but hurt the rank and file)? Is it now that it affects you that you are angry? Thanks for the information but the fact that you have disclosed UAW Subcouncil "secret information" may cause you to be attacked by the UAW koolaid drinkers. Hope all goes well for you.
  15. Hourly workers retirement is paid by Ford only. Retirees get nothing from the UAW. But the Ford/UAW representatives get two retirements, one paid for by Ford and one paid by the UAW members. If you have 30 years or more you do not lose anything.
  16. Wait and see how Gettelfinger sells out the UAW retirees (who are on fixed incomes) at the negotiations in Sep 2007. The current UAW members will witness first hand how useless the UAW.
  17. Yea what this idiot said, because all the UAW wants is your union dues.
  18. Did the UAW say they negotiated these buyouts?
  19. REMEMBER WHEN: COULD THIS BE ONE OF THE REASONS THE UAW IS FAILING Now it is 2006 and plants are closing and workers are fed up with the UAW. ANOTHER REASON THE UAW IS SELF-DESTRUCTING - RON GETTELFINGER WANTED FORD TO PAY FOR ABORTIONS (article from August 2003) Unions to companies: Kill our babies by Noah Knox August 27, 2003 The United Auto Workers (UAW) is asking automakers and parts suppliers to include voluntary abortions as "medical care" covered under their collective bargaining extortions. Smaller unions, who lack the UAW's leverage, often use their comrades' documents as boilerplate for their own negotiations. If the unions are successful in pushing through this latest demand, it could very well mean that every American company with union workers will be forced to pay to murder the unborn. The anti-God crowd, of course, is fully supportive of this latest push. Why limit the funding of sin to just tax-paying citizens? Might as well get sponsorships from as many companies as possible! The incredible lies being told to support this effort boggle the mind. USA Today quoted Kate Michelman, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America as saying "It's a very significant move that the UAW is taking up the issue, and it reflects thinking that reproductive health care for women is not a luxury, it's basic health care." Huh? Voluntary abortions are basic health care? Voluntary – as in a doctor hasn't said that it's a required medical procedure? Health care - as in ending the life of a human being, created in the image of God, complete with head, body, limbs, fingers, toes, faces, and a beating heart? If that's basic health care then I'm getting even more nervous about my next trip to the doctor! But, of course, Ms. Michelman's statement is completely accurate. The UAW's move does reflect the thinking that this premeditated murder is basic health care. And getting employers to pay for it will further legitimize that lie and convince more people that it's ok. ("Well, if it's a covered procedure, it can't be wrong…" – or even worse – "I know my CEO is a Christian, he wouldn't be paying for this abortion if it were a sin.") REMEMBER WHEN: COULD THIS BE ONE OF THE REASONS THE UAW IS FAILING UAW abortion request shocks members Some see the proposal as insult to their values September 25, 2003 BY SARAH A. WEBSTER FREE PRESS BUSINESS WRITER The news came as a shock to many UAW members this summer. The UAW was asking Detroit's automakers in confidential contract talks to cover elective abortions in their health care benefits package. At the previous contract negotiations Ron Gettelfinger was trying to get Ford to pay for abortions instead of being concerned about Job Security and Plant closings. Now UAW officers are throwing lies and accusations at all members that are fed up with them but the UAW bully tactics are not working anymore.
  20. As a UAW member the union officers negotiate for the members and the members are stuck with whatever the UAW negotiates for them. The members have no voice or vote, only the elected union officers. The members have to live with what the UAW negotiates. Union officers negotiating with Ford is not collusion it is called representation and negotiation. You voted for the UAW officers and have to live with what they negotiate. If you are a union member you will pay what the UAW says you will pay. If you are not a union member you do not pay anything to the UAW. Why do you think the chairmen/presidents are having so many meetings on buyouts? It is so they can ensure the UAW gets part of your buyout. The UAW is worth over $1.2 billions dollars - do you call that non-profit Look what the UAW does not want you to know. United Auto Workers (UAW) has continually lost members but has still increased their assets. As of December 31, 2005 the UAW assets amount OVER $1.2 billion dollars - TO BE EXACT + $1,235,803,647.00 Where do you think the UAW is getting all its money?
  21. The UAW chairmen/presidents claim every other week that they are traveling to meet on buyouts. What is there to meet on? If Ford is offering buyouts, the workers want them. No reason for a meeting. Leave those jokers from the UAW out of it, just another excuse for them to spend union funds on travel.
  22. Maybe there will be enough buyouts to buy out all NAP workers. Then the plant would have to close down because they would not have any workers to have a contract with.
  23. Many members do not have a positive perception of the UAW and most of the USA is anti-union. Disgruntled Autoworker
  24. Interesting - UAW leaders vs UAW members Interesting reading
