I imagine just like when they were closing our plant in St.Louis and the Union officials said there would be no more transfers and then 3 weeks later 3 or 4 more plants had transfer offers for St Louis employees. I have learned while being at Ford for over 30 years when a Union official says something like that they are usually wrong the vast majority of time.....or lying lol

We agree on many issues and I understand the issue of Dems and Repubs being very similiar on many issues. There is a big movement within the Dem party with progressives trying to take over the Dem party. My issue with Libertarians is their attitude of not caring for anyone but themselves. Ron Paul was asked one time what should be done to someone who has an accident and had chosen not to have medical insurance and his reply was let them die. Is that the kind of society you want to be a part of? Universal medical works very well in nations all over the world with cheaper costs and better outcomes than the U.S. Unions are a good thing they created the middle class so why do the rich and Republicans wage relentless wars on Unions? Because they can create a slave class that works for next to nothing and any political group that is against Unions is against working people. People in America work their whole lives to have a retirement and a decent life only to have it all taken away for medical bills or companies that steal their pensions. Libertarians are Repubs on steroids.

Building a wall to keep out illegals when you could just go after the employers who give them jobs? Expanding the military budget even more while cutting benefits to Veterans? Gave a massive tax break to the rich and corporations for what? to provide shit pay jobs with no benefits? Going after Unions. Are you part of the UAW? How can you be a Union member and be a Libertarian? Libertarians are very anti Union why would you support that?

Anyone who is a Libertarian is someone who thinks they need nobody, will never need any help and always blames the victim. I voted Democrat only because I knew Trump was going to be much worse and that has proved to be true. Actually for the record I am a Democratic Socialist...that is right I said a Democratic Socialist. A person who believes on Universal healthcare ,Education,strong Unions,strong environmental laws,new infrastructure,prison reforms, heavy taxes on the wealthy,clean renewable energy and Ending of ALL wars against countries that have not attacked the U.S. I am just curious just how many tax cuts and crappy trade deals do we need to keep giving to the already wealthy to provide us peasants with shit pay jobs with no future and benefits? Libertarian??? talk about being a sheeple what a joke Libertarians are nothing but far right republicans.

Why ANY person who is not rich and works for a living votes Republican who DO NOTHING for working people and wage relentless wars on Unions is beyond reasoning.

I am with you on buyouts. I am hoping that they offer them so I can leave and it will keep the newer people working. The new subpay is terrible for people with low seniority it will run out pretty quick.

I could not agree more!!! I can only hope the 130k buyout plus pension is true for me LOl . Still the 25 year full pension plus 30k is still a great deal. I would have taken that when I had 25. Hope all the good rumors are true for all who would benefit.

Sorry I did not intend to imply that there are only 250 legacy people.I think we have about 1200 plus legacy at CAP

My guess and it is only a guess is assemblers,and all plants unless those plants have hardly any legacy employees. At CAP we have about 250 people in production with 25 years or more.

As far as buyouts there coming .How much and when is the question. Ask yourself this..Why would Ford want a legacy employee making top pay and benefits to stick around when they can hire a new person and pay them far less and have no pension liability like senior employees plus the Union has to pick up our medical care. Also every year a legacy employee stays past 30 years is an additional $50.00 a month in pension costs.

I am getting ready to retire and it will cost about me about $230.00 for 100% for my spouse.

I do not think so ,half of them do not come to work and the other half are on FMLA..... LOL

They can cut me,all I am waiting on is the same package they gave people with 30 years or close to it. I have my 30 now and do not really want to wait for the next contract.I do keep hearing after March C crew is not coming back. I am at CAP by the way.

Only if you have less than 30 years. If you have 30 it does not matter what age you are. You get a supplement till you turn 62 after that the supplement drops off when you can collect social security.

Anyone out there heard any news about retirement packages? I would love to get the deal like in the contract. I am hoping when CAP goes down to retool they might offer something.I'll have over 30 then. I could really use that money they offered!!!
