Why should hourly get less profit sharing because some engineer designs a bad part , or a supplier gives us a bad part. So we have to recall 500,000 cars and it costs us a billion dollars. So less profit less bonus. GM ignition wasn't UAW's members fault but they will get less money.

Reason 1. They get a crap load of money 2. If we get universal healthcare why would they need to pay for our healthcare? They keep the money? 3. They can borrow from the fund just like they borrow from our strike fund to blow on failed organizing. 4. more money secures their lavish lifestyles. Don't bundle a raise and better profit sharing with you controlling my healthcare. I don't want the sheep and cronies you bring downtown near my healthcare. If its such a great deal for me have it be in a separate vote!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait until they want you to vote yes on a contract that gives tier one a raise and a nice signing bonus.......oh ya the union will get a few billion and handle our health care. Unbelievable, designed by ford but no union employee will lay a finger on it? Hell, at least Saleen built the last one and delivered it to Wixom and they put the engine and trans in and called it a ford. Sorry union, lost some faith in you guys. Hell no, idiots killed Wixom. They purposely withheld product and let the towncar design get old and dusty. Gee lets keep open wayne and map while making a car in map that the plant is too small for. Trucking parts 1000 feet in semi's only to be loaded and then unloaded again pure upper management smarts. All while only utilizing a 1/5 of the wayne plant..... awesome. Could of done it all under one roof at Wixom.

What was the big meeting at iuaw about rumors in Chrysler plants

You guys can blame yourselves. They have been watching you for years. taking turns letting people go home hours early, ect ect. You can come back and say Im a hater but you know its true. ask the people who hang brakes or used to. They used to trade off letting people go home after last break, since they opened MAP. I tried to tell them they are going to cut people. Ohh know they wont do that they said. go over there now its all fucked up, they cut heads and stopped that. People always get greedy and mess up a gravy job, its your fault they are cutting rough road. How can the union fight for you when they know you are going the job with less people so you can go home.

Ok truth is you have about a 10% chance of doing so, 40% if you know someone chairman or higher. Also the contract, pension and pay is different so you better read their contract and figure out their health care as a worker and retiree. I really don't think you know what you are in for. My opinion it will never happen and you are better off here.

Fact...this is Union busting plain and simple. The UAW as we know it is gone. If we dont adapt and learn from this we are done. I hope this is a wake up call to many. So I have heard they have posted for Industrial tool and pipe-fitters, any other postings coming? I hope they are not trying to scam anyone still on ILO working production. Since they have hired trades in Chicago, they should have followed the steps and let those who can bump do it. I know a couple of guys have said if they don't get to bump they are going to lawyer up. I don't blame them really, the steps are in the contract. This time they cant make up a new rule to protect their buddies and kids, its in the contract black and white. If you are told you cant bump I would definitely ask to see a seniority list! Good luck guys, call SAM.

I have found that best thing you can do is encourage someone you really admire , respect, and trust to run for office. Remind them as much as possible that they need someone who is not looking to go downtown to run. Don't vote for the popular person or re-elect someone because you listen to all the scare tactics they put out if they don't get re-elected. They always say if they are not reelected you wont get any future product. Let me tell you, if you get or don't get future product is because Ford whats it, not the Union. They want that corrupt guy to stay in office so its business as usual. They don't want the guy who fights for you no matter what the IUAW says. Anyone who will retaliate against you for running against them or the people under them is someone you need to send packing. One last thing. The LAST people you want to go to the convention is ANYONE in office. They will aways vote for IUAW pay raises, and people running for IUAW offices with no opposition because they want to go downtown and will do anything to get there! The best people to go are those who are not afraid to speak up.
