  1. was told welders, millwrights, and pipefitters are all to be placed do too more taking the buyout than on ILO. Was told the only suplus will be tool and die. Has anyone heard this?
  2. So your not denying hes your boyfriend? Well then let me be the first to welcome you out of the closet!
  3. Wow are we touchy...I guess I hurt you and your boyfriends feelings.
  4. downtown...sorry no name dropping.
  5. Just wonder what the trades numbers are for different trades at your location?
  6. If the boys downtown didn't see this coming shame on them. You knew they were going to get theirs after we sign for four years. Equity of sacrifice, ya right. If they concentrated on what we pay them for we would have got a raise just like they knew they were going to give to white collar. Keep drinking the cool aid, in four years they will probably pull out the scare tactics ( they the union) to save face and get you to take what they say is the "best they can get". Yet months later just like the 09 mods, white collar gets theirs and we get jack. We cant get a raise they company says, just bonuses but the salary can? http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120210/AUTO01/202100428/King-says-UAW-prepping-nationwide-protests?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE Please spend some time working for us and less for stuff like the above.
  7. I know few people overthere on the line. The numbers needed for 3 crew are nowhere what they should be. They are adding half or sometime less than they need to run for 3rd crew. Seems union has no teeth overthere, tradeschair refers all questions to committeeman? Can anyone confer this who works there.
  8. It's the abc rule. Let's high on ilo force low working tools to go out of zone to forced placement. Damn right in my opinion. It should be high man company wide on ilo force low man company wide. What's the details about the guys at saline. Who did they bump ?
  9. Don't know what list u were looking at, but I know a few pf working on the line a map.
  10. I was wondering about Millrights, Welders, and pipefitters. It seems the Skilled trades chair likes to keep people from permanently getting placed because he wants to "protect his people." He wants to keep temps working so they have less time towards bumping. I have been told they have over 5 welders, and 15 millrights and 3 fitters as temps over a year covering production. He will not post for these jobs even though he knows they need them. He has told my brother that he will keep all the temps and not post for perminant jobs. So these guys could be working there 10 years as temps? Can you comment on the need for permanent trades and if they might soon be posted at MAP like production jobs have been? What about estements for each that may be needed? Do you know for sure that the trades who have recently went there as perminant production on the like get first chance at filling jobs as trades there? Is that for all plants under that local also? That lack of info from the union sucks!! Any info would be appreciated.
  11. Wondering with buyouts and new product any news about needing tradesmen? Heard map is going to need some. What about others?
  12. Now they are pushing back the 3rd shift at MAP? What else are they going to push back or cancel outright?
  13. Does anyone know if they have started to post jobs for the third shift yet, as in bid jobs like hi-lo, ect?
  14. Lololol you crack me up! Boy are you connected, you have friends at whq and the scab company Nice try spinmaster, tell you buddys were not buying your bs. Next contract pitch your scare tactics with the team so they are more believable.
  15. Nice try with the scare tactic, but not buying ur bs. Keep this id and use the account over the next 4 years and maybe will not think you are on iuaw damage control next time new member!!!!
  16. I heard they were pressing the flesh and on their soap boxes on the walkway at DTP. I heard they brought in some old friends from wixom to help get the yes :blah: vote. So whats the scoop?
  17. The company doesn't need local union approval to add a shift. The company puts future production plans in the contract language to entice a favorable vote, not to get approval. They could have left it out and still implemented it, and negotiating to details with the international union. They "the Union" would never turn down or strike over an addition of a shift or more work. Yes he may be afraid of watered down votes but he could not stop the addition of an added shift. I am voting no for other reasons. Return some of our " Temporary concessions" and put in place stronger language to return trades to their tools.
  18. YES, BUT WHO KNOWS FOR HOW LONG? I HAVE A FEW FRIENDS THERE AND THEY SAY ITS GETTING PRETTY EMPTY IN THERE PRODUCT WISE.
  19. WE ALL NEED TO SPEAK UP AND EXPLAIN THIS TO ANY MEMBER THAT WILL LISTEN. WE NEED TO EXPLAIN WITH AS MUCH PASSION AND GRACE AS THOSE WHO ARE PUSHING A YES VOTE SAYING " THIS IS THE BEST WE COULD GET."rEALLY NICK???? WHAT HAPPENED, WHAT WERE YOU PROMISED TO DO A 180??? EVEN IF WE DONT GET A RAISE, OR COLA BACK WHICH WE SHOULD. ARE YOU TELLING ME THEY CANT GIVE US OUR BREAK TIME BACK, PUT AWOLS BACK TO A YEAR, OR PUT THINGS IN WRITING INSTEAD OF SAYING, " WE WILL PROMISE TO DISCUSE THE ISSUE AT A LATER DATE! AND WHY DID GM AGREE TO PAY TRADES ON PRODUCTION TRADES WAGES AND NOT FORD? SIMPLE, THEY ARE GOING TO LEAVE US HIGH AND DRY. THERE IS ABOLUTLEY NO PRESSURE ON THEIR PART TO PLACE OR RESKILL IF WE ARE MAKING PRODUCTION WAGES!!! GO LIONS
