  1. Whoops, no wonder they're a bit upset......how do they now sell the 2009 model after seeing that? Probably like the 2008 Focus - if the product is good it will sell.
  2. Looks like China and the Middle East for Falcon Exports after 2010: The only way Kuzak would approve this export plan is if the FG Falcon Evolution is the GRWD - Watch this space.....
  3. So if it's the 2010 Taurus, why are the dealers are seeing it at meetings now?
  4. Sweet. Glad you see the funny side - Thank God it's Friday - only 5.5 hours until 2pm finish.. :happy feet:
  5. I can see a time when Fusion/Mondeo, Taurus and GRWD cars will all share the same frame and door technology, power trains, suspensions and electrical systems. At the moment, the difference in internal dimensions between two groups Mondeo/Fusion/Taurus is minimal as is the difference the interiors of Falcon and Crown Victoria, latter two having more hip and shoulder room. With common frames and door designs, many seemingly unrelated platforms become common to each other with variations to front and rear rails enabling Sedan, Coupe, Station Wagon, FWD, RWD or AWD applications.
  6. Bill Osbourne will learn that this engine series doesn't meet Euro IV so exports to England are out of the question. By the time Series 2 FG arrives in 2010, the GRWD will be well advanced so exporting the existing RHD car will be untenable. This is why we need to wait for the GRWD platform, to prevent regional shortcomings hindering potential export plans.
  7. Hey the taxi comment was meant to show the Falcon's versatility, - dressed for work, the track and businesss. What I take from all the performance numbers thrown about is that RWD has its place. A big FWD can't do that, you need AWD which hurts weight and fuel economy. Turbo RWD Sedan is the go.
  8. The Falcon is a case of so near yet so far. Bill Osbourne so impressed with the FG Falcon and yet, no Left hand Drive version developed? Right Hand Drive car is here, ready to go but the engine doesn't meet Euro IV. That's why we get the V6 and why exports to Europe with this model won't happen. Everything hinges around adaptation to the V6 and Ecoboost engines , 2010 at the earliest.
  9. Should be in the next two weeks. BTW, there was a test done on the FPV Territory Turbo - FPV claims a 0-100 km/h time of 5.9 secs Will find and attach link HERE -Done.
  10. LINK Sounds like Kuzak is coming to Australia for the launch of the FG Falcon. Bill Osbourne meets with him on 1st May to discuss export contracts for Australia: 1. 2011 Focus in Right and Left Hand Drive 2. FG FAlcon to more Right Hand Drive countries - South Africa and United Kingdom. 3. Funding for Left Hand Drive FG Falcon (2010 Series 2 with V6 and Ecoboost engines) Let the games begin......
  11. Rugby League is like a half way step between the original Rugby and American football. We don't have the rucks and mauls of Rugby and we have six tackle rule like American football. What has been learned to speed the game up is when the ball is played after a tackle, the defensive team must be back 10 metres/yards and a strong "off side" rule enforced. Without "off side" and the ensuing penalties, players can get seriously hurt. On a different note,
  12. I cant begin to explain Rugby League, Just watch this (forward passes not allowed) Rugby League Test NZ v Australia 20 April 2007
  13. For the uneducated Aussie, Who is Brady and what is a sack? (not a scrotum I hope)
  14. Pretty sure the 10 Taurus' bone line is different and other front details too. Enough so you wouldn't immediately pick it and MKS as near relatives.
  15. No reputable road test will back that claim up - that car on youtube has been "tuned". The XR6 Turbo was test driven by people who like Holden (Pontiac). They did the quarter mile runs in "D" with the A/C on and traction control activated - time after time it did 13.4!!!!! Wait until the manuals and particularly 400 hp FPV versions come out - solid 12 second runners!!! Hey P71, they use the base model for Taxis you know......
  16. When the US and 4 other African republics go metric.
  17. Falcon fuel economy for 4.0 auto on Euro City cycle is 10.1 litres/100 klm or US23.39 mpg They regularly crack over US35mpg on the highway.
  18. I wonder if a better shot of the coupe in the background will turn up, that would make them really arc up!!!
  19. The guys at Drive.com.au are "very supportive" of Holden so this shows how good the Falcon is. The XR6 Turbo's quarter mile time - 13.4 seconds was achieved in D (drive) with the Air Conditioner on. This car embarrases the Commodore SS (Pontiac G8) in both performance and fuel economy. Roll on Ecoboost in 2010:
  20. Ed, FoA says those two Falcons are in the USA for crash tests for Aussle production only. The carrier company didn't read the memo about removing camoflage as model is fully revealed here in Australia.
