  1. I expect the order guide will be out tomorrow. I for one can hardly wait. Although I will wait for a MY16 and the extra gears and (hopefully) smoked headlights. Maybe MY17? Perhaps if I wait long enough a (FINALLY) newly skinned Super duty with a DI 6.2L will be more to my liking. Either way won't be cheap!
  2. Sure now I can get a 6.2L on a FX4.... Too bad I don't care for new '13 FX grille!
  3. My 2011 does this too . I moved my striker plate tighter but heck on the passenger side it went in too deep. Not sure what real fix is? My 04 did not do this at all. When I asked dealer they said very common. Not Ford Tough.
  4. But Re Fusion I can't get a 6MT with anything but steel wheels.... (At least not in Canada)
  5. Your dealer sticking his bald head in a wheel well and determining the springs "look the same" is not really a 100 certainty. LOL I agree they look the same, but a dealer also told me the part numbers are diff? So jury still out.
  6. Keep in mind the factory 18" LTs are 6 ply tires. If you upgrade outside of that, they will more than likely be 10 ply. There is the odd 8 too. Just an FYI.
  7. Either way they are just "shipping tires". Take the "p"s and trade em in and buy some real rubber.
  8. When the 09s came out I was curious about the "upgraded rear bumper" as well. Reg tow has a stamp on it somewhere says max limit is 10,500 lbs. Max tow/upgraded version had stamp said 11,500 lbs. Hitch and bumper are kind of incorporated so ugraded bumper, also means upgraded hitch. So if were talking about that part of the pkg, there is an actually mechanical diff, but would it really apply to that many? Thats a different debate.
  9. Another option: Spend a winter up north and learn to like the heat?
  10. I like the fords cause they are a little wider towards mid truck. But my dad has had 2 break, my uncle 1 and others I know have had them break or tear. Thinner material. Dealer says its not uncommon. At least for guys that take it off pavement. Farmers etc... Oh and I'm up here north of Minnesota.
  11. I've had the hard plastic units for years on my f150 and they are fine in snow. Bud I'd go with the Husky mud guards vs. the Ford units. The Ford flaps are not as sturdy and are prone to break. (as I've seen on many trucks)
  12. 8 - 12 weeks Best case - worst case barring some odd plant shutdown.
  13. Platinum gets quieter lamintaed windshield. Thats it. Lariat does not.
  14. Without max payload, GVWR and actual payload reating are really too low, unless your empty most of the time. Could be diff between 7,200 lb gvwr to 7,700 in a most extreme example. Payload will get higher. 09 and Job 1 '10 you got an extra 4th leaf with max tow (or 20's). Ford said they dropped the extra leaf and made the 3 you got thereafter with equal load (but dropped 7lbs a side). Now they don't mention any additional leaf capability. So the jurys out. But given extra GVWR and payload, perhaps they still are "heavier" leafs?
  15. I've see a friend with a 03 Lightning race a new Silverado Ext cab with a 6.2L. He was playing with him, like a cat and a dead mouse. There is no way a EB competes with the last gen lightning. Its just too light with so much tq.
  16. You guys have front plate in Cali? If yes any pics of front Lic plate mount?
  17. That sounds right. Fords w/Turbos run 5w30.
  18. Ford (Canada) stopped Costco $1000 rebate and added $1000 in accessories in its place. (Feb 1) ($7,000 for 2011, $8,000 for 2010)
  19. OK good, thx. Last time I think I was told LX4. So thanks for the help!
  20. Anyone post it order guide for Job #2?, I don't recall and couldn't find with a search. Or if you recall what the order code was for the 4.10 EB axle thats what I'm mostly after. Thx
