  1. That's really sad that we have to guess if it's a Ford or a Mercury... :do what: :boring:
  2. While I like the of cosmetic upgrades... I'm disappointed with the powertrains. if Ford wanted to go with the Duratec 30 again, fine, but the least they could have done is put in the Fusion/Milan version... along with the 6 speed auto. That CD4E tranny is ancient and needs to go
  3. Now I know I can see even more of these ungodly beasts on the roads out here. I am from Utah, and I've noticed a lot of the local police departments have been using the Charger. I really think that if Ford wants to maintain their police market, updates to the crown vic are mandetory. But that really goes without saying... it (the crown vic) is ancient and it's no wonder that these local departments, and now the UHP, are switching.
  4. Why would Ford being getting rid of the CD3(or at the very least, move the Fusion onto the EUCD as you have suggested) platform so quickly? I recall you making the point that Ford wants to put all of their vehicles on global platforms. However, that would be a waste for all the time and money Ford(and Mazda) spent developing the CD3. It would make more sense to replace the D3 platform with the EUCD than the CD3. Care to offer any insight?
  5. Very nice. I've always thought that the Aspen, in of iteself, was a pointless vehicle. In this day and age, the last thing any auto maker needs is another SUV... much less one that looks like *that*. The advertisment oddities are just icing on the cake. I truly am under the impression that Chrysler has no idea what they're doing. As if that needed to be said, especially when the next Sebring is taken into account.
  6. Well, you can't deny that this is a totally revised truck. I think it looks a lot sharper in photos that aren't shot in a studio. The publicity photos look horrid. Ford REALLY needs to fire who ever takes those pictures. I don't know what it is, but they make just about any vehicle look like ass.
  7. Who was it over there that made that?
  8. I have seen one of these 500 at a dealer lot. It doesn't look too bad. I do, however, agree that the 500 is in need of a styling refresh. I mean there's nothing wrong with it, but it just doesn't really invoke any sort of emotion when I look at one. Which is really too bad, I really like everything else about the 500, especially the CVT. Likewise, whenever I look at a Chrysler 300, it invokes my gag reflex. I hope Ford doesn't go that route with the 08 Five Hundred, Montego and the refreshed Freestyle. Also, in reguards to Ralph's post: Ford is marketing the 500? I haven't seen any sort of advertisement for it since it debuted. I certainly hope that Ford's "wonderful" marketing gets off their asses and follows through on the advertising compaign when the refreshed D3's come out.
  9. If that's the case, Ford's got a definite winner on their hands. That is AWESOME gas mile for a vehicle the size of the Edge. So that brings me to this question: if an AWD Edges gets around those numbers, what sort of gas mileage could the MKZ be capable of? Very nicely done, IMO, if these numbers turn out to be true.
  10. Nope, but they shouldn't look like Dumbo the elephant got hit in the face with a frying pan. I was really worried that the next super duty was gonna be a major misstep... but these pics make me feel a bit more confident that Ford will not loose their leadership in the truck market. But again, I'm gonna reserve my final judgement until I see one on the road.
  11. Those aren't as awkward looking as the last round of spyshots looked. But as with any spyshot, i will reserve final judgement until I see them on the road.
  12. Except the Taurus fleet sales! oh snap!
  13. I think it's a nice looking truck... except for that Gaudy chrome. but then, it looks no more or less awkward then that spy pic of the next Super Duty that was floating around a few months ago. That much chrome should be illegal...
  14. I don't know who Toyota thinks they're kidding... but I highly doubt their trucks could handle those situations that the background collage implies for as long as any Ford or even Dodge or GM product could. Furthermore, it's truly amazing Toyota doesn't get blasted for making derivitive looking products. I mean we've got this thing. I saw an 07 Camry the other day and as it was approaching I could have sworn it was a Mazda6. The 06 Redesign of the Sienna... again... total Mazda ripoff. Now I'm not saying other automakers aren't guilty of doing the same thing, but Toyota doesn't really seem to have any sort of originality to their designs. They seem to take what looks good that other makers do, and water it down into their designs. Now I'm not saying that don't choose good designs to mimic... but they are pretty damn obvious about it IMO.
  15. I have to say... I love it!! I'm not a fan of large SUVS, but I think Lincoln will sell the shit out of these! I really like how much of an improvement the tailights are over the previous gen... they just looked so out of place. The grille *drools* yummy! I'm not sure I like where Lincon's interior design is going... this retro them they started with the Zephyr just isn't my cup of tea... atleast in lighter colours... I absolutly love the Zephyr interior in the Satin Nickel/black trim scheme. Too bad they didn't bother to get the Navigator or the MKX's interior in the darker scheme in these photo's.
  16. Amazing what a chrome bar and more pronounced foglights will do for a vehicle. I always thought the Zephyr was the lame duck of the Fusion trio... but now I really want one!
  17. Dunno but (just thought of this) if the D385 is first, why would there be any to spy-shoot? All drivetrain testing could be easily hidden under a 500's shell. Wonder if any Michigan Mustangs have been passed by a '500' lately? biggrin.gif Mercury M600 Funny you should mention that! Could this be one of those? B)
  18. Oh snap! that loosk great! hope ford doesn't pull a Zephyr on us... Loving the headlights! Toyota will have their facimile ready before this car hits the market...
