hard to be happy. had an Escape hybrid also. so this is my 3rd hybrid. since i've always gotten better with the 2011, i was hoping to do better with the 2014. You have to work at it. but i luv doing it. I'm always trying for better mpg. it will improve in the fall, then go back down till spring. i haven't heard about this in the news yet, but I'm sure we will. i can hear the Lawyers at the door. i'll take my check and be happy with it. the letter that came with the check said something about a free gift also. (discount on a 2014 f350 would be nice lol) I'm disapointed but, I'm still a Ford fan always have been, and always will be.

i got a check today $1050. this sucks. i sold my 2011 mkz hybrid that got better mpg. i always got better than 43mpg in town. if i had known, i would have just kept it. how can the 2014 get less mpg. i have 3000miles on the 2014. I'm getting 39.5 mpg.

Wow, so no one is impressed by these numbers but me? i think you guys at Ford did a fantastic job on the Lincoln.

is there some kind of hold or parts shortage for the hybrid mkz? i haven't heard of one. the dealer may be just wanting me to take what he has on the lot. but thats what he just told me anyway.

my 08 will be two yrs old in aug, been a great car. 34mpg in town in the summer. had an odd problem last week. the hybird had sat for about 12 days without being driven. so i get in start it up like i always do, runs fine but no radio sound, or display, even the clock does not show. so i take it to the dealer, they decide it needs a radio replacement. so have to wait till the next week for the radio to come in. i continue driving it for the next two days till, on the 3rd day it wont start or even try, the battery is dead, has 7 volts. nothing was left on, key was in the house. i charge it over night at 2 amps. next day it starts runs just fine. but now the radio works and remembers the presets even, did have to reset the clock. so i take it in anyway the tell me they checked everything including the battery, all is fine. im glad it's working again, i just wish they could have found something wrong and fixed it. ill be wondering for a while if it's going to happen again.

good news then. looks like i will be placing an order for one. thanks

sorry about taking so long getting back, but im happy to report its not cracked i let the dealer look at it and then i sanded it by hand the cracks were just surface cracks. im glad, but i will check it over every time i change oil. i was trying to get a 08 sd now ill have to keep driving the 04

no on the lift. truck came with 18s p275/65 changed to a 285/60 18 i cant help but think there's something wrong with the casting im taking it in on tuesday so ill get a better look at it and some better pic. im hoping the ex-warranty will cover it. the arm is $250 plus tax hope its just one thats bad. i still cant help but think im not the only one thats had this happen or maybe people should be taking a closer look at them.

heres some pic ive never worried about the arms before never gave it that much thought just a big change from all the trucks ive owned before. 69 71 94 ranger 96 f150 97f250 2001 f150 in the 2nd of the pic you can see its cracked in the casting seam you can see where it had been ground. on a mac you can drag the pic to the desk top and zoom in on it.

ive got a 2004 f-150 4x4 sc i got it in sept 03 has 35600mi on it. its very well taken care of kept in side. i was under the truck putting a train horn on when i look at the PS lower control arm it has cracks in it. (i took pic.) its almost all the way around. just to let you know i work on cars trucks and have all my life im 49 there are no dents like if i had hit something with the a-arm. am i the only one thats had this happen to the f-150. its never been lifted by the a-arm i stand there while i get a R&B.

ive got 2500 miles on the 08 hybird and ive gotten 30+ every time ive filled up and im sure it would be better but i work out of mine and i carry a lot of tools the rear seat stays folded down. most of the time i have junk in the front seat as well. in my 05 4cy non hybird i got 24 and 27mpg when empty city i luv it. one thing ive noticed listen up ford is the number of people i meet that dont know that ford makes a hybird so i take them to school on the american hybird. my other car link http://media.putfile.com/feast

i just got back from a 400 mi round trip to se okla in a 08 sd cc 4x4 auto 3.73 gear 75 mph on tp and 65 mph on 2 lane the in dash mpg started at 13.2 when i left and is now at 13.8 empty both ways got the truck as a loner from the dealer man what a great truck i luv it $52.745 sticker my 04 has been in the shop since 21 aug except for two hrs i had it before the trans went toast again i told them it was the tune when i took it in. it took this long for them to agree and send the pcm back to roush but the gm giving me a new sd to drive makes me fell a lot better but now i want one its like a drug so i maybe asking for a xplan soon

i just today put in my order for the 08 escape hybird the sales guy said it would be aug when it comes in. where are the hybirds made? can anybody tell me if there is a way to track my order? ill be trading a 05 escape (got it in may 04) its been a great truck i use it for work i do a/c ive had a 4ton condensing unit in it plus all my tools and get 24mpg in town 27mpg when empty in town its a 4cy. this will be our 3rd escape wish it came with a small diesel. i see guys doing heat & air like my self still stuck thinking that they have to have a 1/2 ton van getting 11 mpg people need to rethink how they drive and work i look at the uk ireland and other places in europe they do the same kind of service work we do with out having to have a large van or pickup all the time.

ive had mine since may 04 its an 05 so its 3yrs old never had it in the shop 27mpg in town luv it thinking about trading it in on a hybird. ive use it as a work truck all its life i do a/c work i haul a lot of tool parts etc i cant find anything to complain about but maybe its a 4cyl fwd but i got it for the mpg will replace it with a new escape.
