  1. So did you let any official know that they should correct the flawed system? You have the same mindset as a common crook. I wonder how many of the people that are sitting in jail right now for stealing tried to tell the judge that they were just trying to help out by testing the system. :P
  2. That was a rightous thing to do.
  3. I worked on C crew on saturday and heard nothing about any voting that day. My committee guy gave me the highlights handout and said he was not sure when the vote would take place.
  4. Heard from C crew union rep that he is hearing all three shifts will be off week of March 23rd. The two week off rotaions start April 20th with C crew going first.
  5. Maybe because there will be no one working production on the weekends
  6. I am not saying which way I will vote right now but a lot of workers figure as long as they are not taking a big hourly pay cut then they will vote yes. As long as their lifestyles are not dramatically altered and the are doing better than the general unskilled population then they are still doing pretty damn good. If you can not trust in the UAW leaders opinions and they are as bad as some workers say then maybe those people should take a buyout and try finding a more understanding and fair employer in this shitty ass economy. If the UAW leaders are not to be trusted then no matter what we vote it might not matter anyways. :shades: On the other hand if everbody goes along with what the big wigs want all the time then they will try to take even more than they hope for and get it. In the big picture if the economy does not pick up and GM goes bellyup we might even give more up and we might be closer to being on par with our unskilled neighbors. :o
  7. No I do not see a problem. One of the reasons I and others chose C crew was for the extra cash. There are plenty of people who could of came to C crew but did not want to give up their precious weekends. There are many who could of even gotten of the line but the weekend thing was just to important. A-crew and B-crew schedules are what most workers wanted. Their life schedules are not going to change other than B crew working monday through thursday and most are happy about that. C crew people will be screwed big time whether they get the 10% or not. How does it effect your budget one way or another. Just like all the anti UAW opinions out there right now maybe everyone working should just be glad that they are and mind their own business. Ford changes their mind about production plans alot. Hopefully things change for the better for all of us in the near future. Good luck to all UAW brothers and sisters. :beerchug:
  8. This is what was told to me by someone in management and by union officials including Nick. People on C crew will have their family schedules all messed up. The money will help pay for child care for some. Some workers are going to school during the week so that they can do every one a favor by leaving someday for new careers so they are screwed. Some workers actually do other things during the weak( bowling, martial arts, family exercise clubs, church affairs ect.) Not every one just sits in front of the tv when they are off work scratching their nuts(sorry ladies LOL). I personally feel that it will just stay at 10%. Workers who bitch about C crew getting the extra shift premium remind me of the jealous anti UAW people that want us to have less because they do. The work that most UAW workers do is deserving of the pay they get and likewise the adjustment that C crew workers will have to deal with justifies the extra cash.
  9. C crew will get their 10% at least. They may even kick in an extra 5% for the inconvience they are putting us through!
  10. What ever shift you start on when you come to DTP is where you will stay until the sign up for a shift preference occurs which I heard could be a year later. The only way anyone will be placed on another shift is if they have enough time in to get any future preferred job postings.
  11. The 4 day shifts will be staying as long as C crew stays. Most workers coming in will be placed on C crew. There will not be a shift preference bump for I think one year from the time C crew starts.
  12. You probally heard the rumor about rolling down weeks from the same source. I am not saying that it will not happen but most supervisors do not know shit and they like to start rumors just to mess with our minds. We have no control over certain things. Well the one thing we could control is the spreading of rumors. Just remember( generally speaking, nothing personal) if you pass along rumors that have negative connotations and they do not come to pass then it just makes you look like a scared little dumb ass. Until anything really bad happens let's just hope and pray for the best. Good luck to all UAW. :beerchug:
  13. The announcement that C crew was coming back was when gas prices were still pretty high. I guess that the new F-150's kick such good ass that buyers of this vehicle do not care about fuel costs. :happy feet:
  14. All of the union officals that I talked to have said that Feb 16th is still a go for C crew and that they were being told that the company could be planning on having us run up to 10 hrs and maybe a saturday when we get back on Jan 5th.
  15. Even when the big 3 were making huge profits guys like you were still bitching about UAW wages. Mind your own business and enjoy the race to the bottom.
  16. The line speed will go back up once the training of C crew is complete.
  17. If Palin was a he instead of a she would she of been picked? I agree with 4rd4life and I am sure that millions of others(men and women) who saw Palins vagina call speech feel the same way.
  18. If McCain wins and dies in office we will have a soccer mom as or leader. So much for Palin spending quality bonding time with her baby. If she was a he would she of been picked?
  19. Golden child or not DTP blows MTP AND WAP away when it comes to working conditions. I know because I worked at MTP for over 10 years. The dirty bathrooms are a total joke at the old plants. I mean who wants to have to hold the door shut with one hand and wipe their ass with the other because a latch don't work. Are they going to put in a cooling system like they have at DTP or are they just going to let every one just bake away in the summer months? I could go on and on about the benefits of one plant over the other but I am not here to brag. I hope that DTP, MTP and all the rest have a nice secure future. Good luck to all! :beerchug:
  20. We were told (Trim) that all C crew workers that made the cut will be put on B crew.
  21. Maybe some people just like having the attention it will get. I think it is less embarrising then the PT Crusiers with flames though!
  22. I know what your saying but you are not getting screwed. People who own their own companies know that they have to put some of their profits away to pay uncle sam at the years end. I agree that it is hard for the average worker maybe to save for the IRS but you can do it if you have to and you are not really getting screwed by anyone other than yourself if you can not save the cash on your own.
  23. My teamleader said that the open jobs will be filled by the highest seniority workers from their previous team. There will probally be a few workers that might give up the job they are on to the incoming people if they want off the job. There are also workers who do not care what job they land because they are planning to bump to days on the next opening and if they make the bump they could land anywhere in their department.
