  1. Somewhat off topic but.... it kills me to see a "Support our troops" and an American Flag on some piece of shit Import. I have actually seen a Korean War Vet plate on a Kia..... :slap:
  2. Why would you boycott Nascar ? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081206/ap_on_...EJiuaFi7N4R07QF It seems they are on our side, we need all the support we can get here.
  3. My I.Q. dropped 35 points just by reading some of those posts........
  4. Let me start off with a big "FUCK CONGRESS!" #1 We DON"T have to deal with too many provisions, WE DO NOT NEED THE MONEY! Mullally said we will be ok and turn a profit in 2010 before the hearings..#2 We never asked for the $9B...he said to put it in a fund for IF we needed it. #3 There will likely be no mergers, Ford is working on OUR Companies problems, not taking on more headaches.#4 It puts the bailout money in GM and Chryslers hands ...they need it most. #5 Who do you think the loyal Americans that buy UAW cars are gonna give a serious look the next time they buy a car ?? FORD !! Merry Christmas !
  5. Anyone else notice the lack of airtime this story is getting? It isn't newsworthy for us to say...We can do it alone , thanks , but no thanks ! the media !!!
  6. Well I guess it's not ALL bad news.... http://www.nbcactionnews.com/content/livin...eokt0c-Bzw.cspx And NO TOYOTA's either...
  7. I would love to.....but I am just an uneducated UAW worker...so I can't read...sorry !
  8. To clarify... the management dislikes me to say the least. I am a major thorn in thier side whenever I can be...to the point of pushing it.. I am not in any "good ole boy" network, however I have been an elected Rep. Now that being said what was your point ? All I heard was :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: ......
  9. I think Mr Mullally finally realized that the Government just wants thier foot in the door , that way they can run the rest of OUR jobs out.. I agree with every one of the above comments.....Fuck the govt. we will do this ourselves. :happy feet: :happy feet: :hyper:
  10. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it can be "adjusted" by the International, but for it to be "eliminated" it would have to be voted on correct? I agree with Spring, I think they are playing word games to keep it from being voted on. I think that Int. knows it would not pass a vote, so they are doing what they think is best for all of us. I could be wrong.
  11. I find it rather disturbing that the Government , of all things, would be telling ANYONE that they need to step down. These are the same people that are running OUR COUNTRY into the ground, as well as our Companies. Its thier failed and lopsided policies that have helped get the Big 3 where they are today.
  12. How old is he do you know? Would help in picking the card....
  13. You passed up a GREAT way to give him a History lesson, they may have even took it to heart..
  14. How dare you.....do not post facts here!! They want conjecture and rants !
  15. Check this little guy out...he has more sense than most of the politicians. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4peUjESuJ8...feature=related
  16. Do you see Critic, this is what I am talking about... We have given, we are just unwilling to keep giving, and giving until its all gone. There has to be a point where a person says "Ok , thats it, I am done ! let the chips fall where they may." I have both parents that are retired from Ford.. this is killing me, but I believe its time to make a stand. I would like to retire someday, but if we give up here, that may never happen.
  17. Is that a crack on us "fun sized" fellas ??
  18. You mean to tell me I have been working on my super secret thermo nuclear device for nothing ???
  19. We did give up happy days...but to say we got them back is an understatement..we got back 2 days per contract...one hour a year.. And your living someplace that inflation hasn't gone up more than your wages? Where? I want to move there. As far as $28/hr goes your right, it looks like alot to the rest of th country. THEY ARE UNDERPAID. So thats MY fault? I believe 100% my Union has my interests at heart, but like I said I also believe that the majority are in favor of drawing the line in the sand. Ask Norfolk what giving shit up gets ya? Its a 2 way street, I just think it time to say enough...
  20. Which Strouds, the one by the plant?? That is some of the best cookin around, I am getting fatter just typing about it.
  21. #1 I am not refering to future cuts, I am refering to the cuts we have taken in the last 10-12 years. #2 For the vast majority of the workforce, those with less than 15 years, we have seen our paychecks buying power continually slip away. #3 If you knew ME you would know I am definately NOT an "all about ME' person..although we agree there is a majority of them now. #4 Name one thing we have given up and gotten back later? I am not saying we haven't, I am saying I am unaware of one. Lastly, am I to assume you think Ruether would open the Contract then ??
  22. I have ALREADY given more than a few small cuts.... man we are all gonna bleed to death with all these small cuts. I have given back so many raises and COLAs, that I can barely heat my house now. And do not give me the feast or famine shit either, I NEVER saw them open up the Contract when it was feasting time..but they sure have when it was famine huh?? Twice soon.. tell me where YOU draw the line then ?? I guess NEVER by your staement "no matter what more it takes". I wonder if Walter would have been for opening the Contracts every time the Company wanted to?? I bet not...just my opinion though.
