as far as the march layoff my committee man said it is cancelled, next one is in july last week the whole month off 2 week shut down the 3rd week is spa last week is layoff they need the month for retooling.

i was reading in the london free press today about STAP , ford high ups seem to think that we can build 175000 cars on one shift, Whitey says no only 117000 so that leads me to believe that it could come down to 4-10hr shifts mon-thurs, 8hrs fri and sat, so get ready boys its gonna be hard going from 32hrs per week to 56hrs a week, thats just my thought on how it could make sense with all that at 60 cars an hour it adds up to around 170000 to 175000 cars per year.

hey dora: one thing u should remember is that ur talking about child support if u think he owes u, u should have filed for alimony for urself, remember its the kids not u.

well i dont think he owes you anything because when u were together didnt he pay mortgage, bills,etc. i think the support is for the children to live too dont u think.

I'm a father that pays support through ford to FRO and it comes off my cheque and if i'm in arrears they will take half of my cheque until it is paid, they even take support off my sub pay, so if buddy is working u shouldn't have a problem getting your money unless he isn't working, maybe it hasn't gone threw ford yet but eventually you will get it. i dont know how he got away with paying so little support cause in Canada if i had to pay support for five kids it would be $1500+ a month.

i think the number is more like 260 some odd thousand cars, and ya i dont understand it either cause i think we still builld around 130000 cv/gm and if u add 50 to 60000 TC that makes about 180000 cant see the one shift thing happening.

you need to remember one thing the four day work week is not in stone yet ford of canada maid the proposal to the union but it hasnt been ok'd with detroit so its not in stone so dont count on it to even happen would be nice but dont count ur chickens before they hatch.

well u guys r all talking about the worst absenteeism records and were told that we at STAP weren't told anything like that but we still have alot of people that don't come to work or come whenever they feel like it, good luck to all as for me i'll probably be gone in early 07 due to one shift being dropped as u heard but our union plant chairman was very upset cause ford didn't stick with our contract so he is going to try and fight to keep both shifts going at STAP cause we do everything the company wants and then they turn around and give u the shaft just like that. thanks again ford for the fun!!! and good luck to everyone just keep hoping and positive thoughts.
