Has anyone purchsed a new set of tires for their F150 at the dealer ? Was wondering on pricing and warranty : road hazzard, tread wear .

I just had this issue repaired 2 weeks ago. They have to replace the blend door and motor. It took me 2 times to have the proper repair done. They first tried to repair the beld door gasket, worked for 2 months. The second time I went in, they decided to replace the blend door and door motor. They will have to order the parts. It is working great now. I thought I was goiung crazy for a while.

They are only going to produce 25,000 .

Will the F100 be coming ? Has anyone heard rumors that it is back in development ? How about a domestic replacement for the Ranger ?

I think they will sell well. The new 09 F150 is a much better truck than the 08 and is a safer truck ,as well. People are going to the dealers and cannot find them. As soon as they come in, they are gone ! Once the credit crisis ends and gas keeps on falling, they will move off the lots.

I have the same setup. 08 Scab 5.4 3.73 non limited slip, 18"wheels, towing package. Average 14.5 mpg over 10,500 miles. But the gas where I live has 10% alcohol due to emmissions . If you live ouside a major city, you can get 17mpg with full 100% gas. My friend in upstate NY gets this and he has the same setup as me.

Has the line started at Rouge today ? I heard it was starting? Can't wait to see the first shipment at my local dealer.

Is anyone else having this problem with the tranny. At around 25 - 30 mph, the unit drops into neutral and hesistates before upshifting and down shifting when driving around town. The dealer told me in March, a software upgrade was coming to address the problem. Now, they are telling me, that was not the issue and everyting is fine. This is how the unit shifts. Can someone help me with this issue.

I cannot believe they are not going to build this in the U. S. . After all the concessions they received from the union. If Honda and Toyota can build cars in america, why can't Ford . The Fusion should be made at one of the closed US plants. They need another plant. If they just advertised, they could sell a hell of a lot of them. Chrysler is just as bad, with their new Journey.

I could remember reading somewhere that all car seats are to be able to support a person that weighs 500 lbs. and the seat belts as well. This is a general rule per the US Dept. of Transporataion, required of all manufacturers.

I purchased a new 2008 Ford F150 XLT S-Cab 4x4 on 1/08/08 . The 5.4 engine has a date of 11/28/07 Windsor, Ontario ,on the Valve cover sticker. The Gas cap Door has a date of 11/20/07 The drivers door stated production 11/07 . I was wondering if the engine was one, with the newly designed heads, to not worry about the spark plug issue . My Vin # 1FTPX14528fa90606. Could someone let me know the production date of the truck. Thank you.

I would like to purchase a truck camper for my F150 4X4 w/ 5.4 engine. Does a member have one now they can recommend . Would like to purchase one with a Shower\toilet if possible .

I just purchased a 2008 F150 4x4. It states in the literature that it should come with a tire pressure monitoring system. A system reset tool should be included with the truck literature. It was not and the factory window sticker does not list a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Can someone provide me with more info on this ? Does the truck have this system ? Do I need the key fob sized reset tool ? The owners manual states after tire rotations , the system has to be reset with this tool. I cannot get further info from the Ford dealer staff.

Tall people love the bench seat. In my current 2001 Taurus, I had to get the bench, to feel comfortable. When test driving the 500, my right leg was mashed against the console. The cup holder in the drivers door was a leg killer as well.
