  1. MY 2009, P415 program. Job 1 SHOULD be sometime next year, probably March at the earliest, November at the latest. Biggest problem right now, surprise, surprise, is the styling, with Marketing leading all the Way Forward targets now, Product Development is slapping their foreheads... Come On Fields, Way Forward targets BELONG in the Customer Service division and you ING know it!!! :happy feet:
  2. Its sad really... Henry Ford realized that turnover absolutely KILLED any sort of quality in the manufacturing process. His solution was $5 a day, what a deal, but not by today's standards. Modern (American) solution is a temp area where skilled trades are sent when no work is available so that they don't lose the knowledge, USA! USA! USA ! No wonder Toyota is profitable, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Manufactuing, Pull-type Distribution and Marketing, TPS (Toyota Production System), all these processes would let a four year old build a car with the same quality, over and over again. Its about being repeatable, that's what creates new business and holistically growing customer base, and that's what enables better benefits and the like.
  3. Summer sales blow no matter what market you're looking at, except beer and pr0n, those NEVER have a bad month...
  4. Ford needs to blame America for its problems. I mean, it worked for the Clintons, right?
  5. My wife watches that poison on Lifetime 24/7, they have a commercial on there is really spooky. A woman is standing holding a mercury symbol and then it breaks into a million little pieces and the car "grows" from all the pieces in the dirt. I thought Lifetime was supposed to be about REALITY... Oh wait, it IS lifetime....
  6. Yeah, that was nice to get a vacation right in the middle of summer, ahhh the good old days... Next they'll want to take away that week between Christmas and New Years and institute a 2nd and 3rd shift for engineers who are supposed to be "white" collar... *GULP* Welcome... to the DESERT of the REAL...
  7. Christ tards, its not the Murano, its The Rogue
  8. This hurts the executives the most, who's gonna fix the plant's problems, the people that work in the plant??? Pfffffft.
  9. Elena Ford Movin On... I can't put enough of these ---> :happy feet: This makes me BEYOND happy!!!
  10. The EPA is making it cost ineffective to design/build/sell ANYTHING with a diesel BEFORE 2010. After 2010 however, the game is afoot...
  11. Yeah, an EL GIGANTE mortgage coming due soon also. Might as well just ask Hyundai and Nissan to keep the keys after they've raided the building for talent...
  12. Blackhorse = Richard Jensen Its' RJ's alter-ego so he can get away with being the child that deep down we all know he is.
  13. I was wondering when someone was going to be LCD enough to answer me like that. I come from a long line of illegal immigrants and I could care less what happens to ANYONE in the meantime. I'm a firm believer in the plaque underneath the Statue of Liberty...
  14. I'm an 11th generation illegal immigrant from mom's side and an 8th generation illegal immigrant from dad's side. COME ING GET ME!!!! (Note to bigots, that means me and my kin have been here awhile, still game?)
  15. I bet you didn't know that 100% of homosexuals use a monitor, keyboard and mouse to use a computer every day also. 100% of homosexuals use a toothbrush. 100% of homosexuals listen to music with some type of "magnetic cone device" 100% of homosexuals watch TV with either a CRT, LCD, Plasma, or DLP television device 100% of homosexuals breathe the same air as you do Isn't it fun to play with numbers?!?!?!??!?! homophobes are really the lowest common denominator. Watch, I'll be accused of being a "homo" for exposing ignorance...
  16. I'd go for the pump and dump... Since I KNOW that NO product planners will EVER be on the same page with each other, I'd create a hot concept, get everyone and their mother to write personally to Mulally to build it, get all the supply chain ready and rarin' to go, get the factory all tooled and prepped, get the dealers all "pre-sold", and at the last minute, say its got to meet European standards OR ELSE! When the stock hit $20 on all the buzz, I'd sell my ass to devil and get the out of "dodge" so to speak...
  17. BlackHorse = Richard Jenson, but I'd have thought you people would have picked up on that by now...
  18. This probably needs a poll, but hear me out here. DetNews Article on this If you haven't seen the last episode of the Sopranos (and at this point you either care/don't care) then you'll notice that Phil Leotardo's head was crushed by the old model Expedition. David Chase usually titles his episodes in or near what happens in the climax of every episode. For me, the climax of "Made In America" shows that the Wayne-built Expedition is inadvertently crushing its incapacitated owner. That's how I feel about it, the close-ups on the Ford logo on the wheels were definitely creepy. I see it as a statement that in the end, everything that we've accumulated as Americans just crushes us, sometimes literally.
  19. I been saying this so long I believe it now. Wait until 2009 when the mortgage comes due, they may not have a choice...
  20. And having Phil Leotardo's head crushed by a Expedition wasn't the best product placement moment in American TV history? Go back and see how long they did a close up on the Ford logo on that wheel.
  21. Have you seen the Krispy Kreme doughnuts email that comes out once a year? If you haven't do a quick google search for "krispy kreme calendar girls". Ewwwwww (shudders) .... :stats:
  22. International just needs to die and go away, leave the diesel market to a real American company like Detroit Diesel...
  23. Guys, Guys, Guys remember that Ford NORTH AMERICA is the only business marque that has the mortgage payment coming due in 2009, not the other ones! For the Ford Family, this is perverse diversification. This is going to suck worse than that ing Sopranos finale last night. One day, its just lights out, fade to black...
  24. Maybe MS has to wait until October to be able to steal it from the competition...
  25. Well kinda, not really, but I get your point! What sucks is that the Army and Marine Corp are buying more MRAPS these days then Strykers... So I don't expect Anniston to have work for THAT much longer... To be fair, Strykers just can't handle the IEDs that have come up in Iraq, mainly because these were designed with missions like Somalia (think Black Hawk Down) in mind...
