frank when was the last time ford uaw went on strike? ford knows how to handle the uaw, they just dangle the carrot ($1500) and bingo a yes vote. this is the me me generation, not like the old days.

Ford said that the 2.0 engine and the 2.3 ecoboost engine will be built in cleveland. they said that it's the first time for these engines to be built in the usa. they were built in spain before. no word on the fate of dearborn engine plant. the cleveland engines are for the mustang, explorer and mkc.

to frank!! who the hell isn't downtown. union membership is not be allowed to vote for the big issues, like our president, etc.... they want us to vote democratic but we (union) live the socialist life (in the union) vote as we tell you, we know whats in your best interest... do what we say not what we do! not sure how we can change, many unhappy members. need new people up top, but we (union) have NO say as to who holds these positions, that sounds very UNDEMOCRATIC!!!

you just dont get it. he's working on days...holidays.... that the union got US off!!!! these union agreed holidays are what we bargained for. this is one of the reasons we dont get raises or cost of living, because of employees like tooltime, and the company knows all we do is fight amongst ourselves. when tooltime works, how many non-skilled are forced to work???( because he wants too) what about there families? the company loves tooltime.

tooltime posted what he made for all to see, very proud. so,he should expect good and bad criticism. i fail to see how working no ot is silly. we all make a great hourly wage. you just need to live within your means. thats it.

We (uaw) have the least democratic org. the membership can't vote for any iuaw leadership. how is this democratic?

logic will tell you. ford is not going to keep paying for healthcare for employees when they can get out of it, or some of it, thru the unions. give you a 3k bonus and you now pay 5k more for health care. they will vote yes, like idiots. we will soon be on a program that the ones who force it on us (obama) and don't have to be on it......do as i say not as i do... i hope no one in this great country is proud of our leadership. it's a complete discrace!!!!

the union does not have to enroll in obama care. i heard that this may end next year. ford pays many millions in health care costs. you think ford does not want out of some of those bills..... we will soon have to enroll in obama care. then what? everyone i talk to thinks the uaw is safe from it. i don't thinkk so. we will lose even more money.

i think the uaw is like the government.... we both do NOT have to sign up for bama care...YET!

skilled trades at flatrock are mechanical, electrical and tool and die. thats it. just wait till health care is on the next contract. you think ford wants to pay billions for health care when there is obama care...... just wait!
