True, its a rant... just irritated with all the hoopla about GM when they havent done anything since taken part of our paychecks, and Ford that worked hard to save itself still gets shit thrown at it.. stupid thing is ford is at a disadvantage since it didnt get BK funds etc and still is imho kicking gm's butt on the cars they are building, imho again i think GM and its tail followers should be counting their blessings the government did step in and save their ass.. and not boasting oh look how great we are, the great stuff we have etc.. they just be saying thanks and saying we are trying hard to pay you back by making better products and staying valid. sorry for rant.. alot is me venting.

Ford lucky? ha, they saw it coming... why do you think the mortaged it all, they knew shit was gonna hit the fan and anticapated some bad stuff, and well it came and they had to the cash to keep the company going.. GM ignored it, they were and still are stuck on the we are too big to fail... truth is volt would still be on the "production" line if GM didnt get part of my paycheck. I dont wish anyone to lose thier job, but failing companies should just go and allow the better run ones florish and take over, instead of putting ourselves more in debt as a country bailing them out just because it main ruin the economy and cost people jobs.. tell me this, what if 5 or 10 years down the road, GM is failing again and asked for another bailout, regardless of the loss of jobs possible, would you still support giving them funds again????

ya, it was a idea and testing before BK, if they didnt go BK this car would still be years away... prove it that it would be coming soon if they didnt have BK and get the free cash?

pfftttt, he went there looking for some cash, after a bit he noticed how bad the shit was hitting the fan, then decided to play it off he was showing support for the others... after all the backlash and so on about planes and then realising the government wanted to basically take the companys over ford said blah with that shit, and backed off the we want money to the showing support thing... thats the truth.

who cares, this car is actually junk, and once it gets some full time use it will display its inpraticalness. the only reason GM is even putting this thing out is because of all the funding from the Government paying for it, and they are trying to release it to get good publication to prop up their image... thats it. after all is fixed and everyone is chomping at GMs genitals, they will let it slide away like they did the other electric car.

Does a company, that has used its own cash and name to try to pay down some debt, pay for its own research etc get critized by people because they think a company that shouldnt be here anymore supposably is doing a better job at introducing new products. The Volt is shit, its nothing, just another Fad like the shit thing gm made in the 90s, it was there as a PR tool, to make people think they are trying to be good etc.. but in reality, they are using our money, to use this item which isnt all that, to prop up their name when they should be idle like the damn Delco plant in oak creek, wi. screw GM and all they stand for, the government should liquidate them, and pay all the jobless people that come from it unemployement for the next 5 years like they have been doing.. our founding fathers are turning over in their graves.

odd issue, when i turn it on it will just idle at 3 or 4k....... if i drive the idles wont go down, actually hard to drive it like this.. i did hear a humming sound from the tranny area, then i towned a ski, now its doing this... seems tranny or cpu is stuck?

how many miles can this thing go before it needs to stop and plug in somewhere?

sounds like the Airtraffice people screwed the pooch on this one, i listed to the ATF audio and they guy talking to jack on the radio seemed completely lost and told him to go around at last second.

A few comments, as i own a 2006 Fusion v6 SEL that i bought new with 3 miles on it, bought it in August of 2006, right now today it has 84655 miles. anyways... i still have the original brakes, i have no problem with these brakes, i actually like them alot, as they are not touchy crap like other cars, where you tap and it just grabs, the way the brakes work now i can play with them less pedal for slower stop, more for major stop, and well, i dont do 70mph to zero stops, i find that test a joke as really, if you driving along at 70 and then need to just stop instantly something isnt right in the road or the person driving lol... anyways, i have had a few 30-40mph pretty hard stops and well it still locks up the breaks and stops, even at 84k, ps on the ABS thing, i hate ABS, never liked it, had it on a 97 TBird and well it caused me to get into a crash.. i feel i just dont have the control etc, i feel if you lose control of your car for locking them up or whatever your over driving for conditions etc.. so ya, brakes are not a issue for me, even at 84k. and non, they are not warped, guess it depends on the driver then i suppose. Door handle? no issue, my doors open and close without issues.. so thats a non factor. Tranny this is weird, but i think that is due to the 3.0 engine in the car getting long on life at the time of the fusion, its torque curve isnt the best and the tranny will hunt if your kinda going from certain speed. so ya, you may have to jam on gas pedal a bit to make it downshit to accelerate, but i only see the hunting issue on the freeway, when trying to pass etc, which is due to lower tq i suppose, but not really a safey issue? its just a older engine being put in a 6 speed tranny.. not the end of world, i have driven worse performing engine\tranny combos. there is two things i have a complaint on the car.. 1. The chrome plated stuff on the indo handles is weak, well at least my driver side one is bubbling a bit, the other doors are fine, kinda odd but meh...i have seen worse in so-called better cars 2. Not a Ford issue, but a build issue, on the trunk where my chrome thingy is, where the bolts attach it there is rust, and the corners on the thingy that touch the trunk itself are rusting, i havent seen this on any other fusion, and talked to many body shops said it was all put together wrong, so, i havent fixed it yet, but blah, no hurry lol. Conclusion - This is a damn good car, not the best, not the worst, but damn good, one of the best ford has ever made, the quailty surveys prove that, even today 4 years later. At the time when i bought this car for 21k, you couldnt fnd anything from yota, dodge, honda, gm for that price that was comparable in features. and too this day, those same vehicles with less miles show alot more wear and tear, bad brakes, replaced parts etc that mine hasnt had... iam on a pesronal quest to get 100k out of these stock brakes lol, as long as they work and its safe they will stay on til then..

wow, i should this stuff to my dealer and he just laughed and said something bout dealer not doing his job correctly, he said they were lazy, he said when he special orders cars he bugs the shit out the fatcory, he said the longest he has had to wait for a special order car ever is 5 weeks.... plus this is the highest rated dealer in SE Wisconsin as well.

wow, weird stuff... ordered my new 2011 GT manual on may 19th. On May 28th i recived a call from the Ford Plant itself stating that my car was built and being shipped.. My car arrived at dealer on June 5th, but i was gone so i picked it up on the 7th.. Not sure how your deal went down, but i got an email almost each day with status on my order from ford it self, some dealer\owner connection thing, kept me in loop... my expierence with the entire process was great, nothing to complain about here.. sorry for your troubles thou, must suck, but, iam loving my car.. and they didnt say anything about any QC problems either and it runs fine.

Ford has a more storied racing history than porsche or ferrari.. both of those makes have made their hay i basically 1 SERIES, and stayed there and dominated etc.. Ford has basically went to all the main series you can really thing of, and have won races and championships in ALL of them. Lets list them... F1, Indy, WRC, SportsCar(Grandam etc), Drag Raing, Off Road Racing, remember that old british series where ford had them mondeos finish 1-2-3, alan menu etc? Porsche and Ferrari have won alot, but in specific series.. agreed, they dont probably have the cash or time to run everywhere, but thats what makes ford the #1 racing manufactor of all time, they have been there, done that in each major series i can think of.. if not correct me.

well, in my neck of the woods, milwaukee, wi.. 2 big time rental companies just went and got a entire new fleet of vehicles, the person i know that does the renting at one said they got really good deals on these new vehicles, so they went and replenished their cars this summer, they are all Chrysler products... seems, from what he told me they sold them these vehicles for about 50 per of what a sticker price would be on the lot, which this rental company said they couldnt pass up, so they bought away. he also told me that they didnt get or try to buy any new fords for rental as Ford has up'd their prices for their vehicles, he said the same with gm, upping the prices..

lol... ya, yippie... lets not forget that ford picked them off the scrap heap and put millions of dollars into them over the years to save their sorry asses.. buahahaha.
