  1. Not sure which border you are talking about, but Louisville is certainly North of Mexico.
  2. The way I read the article, it sounded more like MTP would be a stamping plant.?
  3. Louisville ran 92 jph for many years. This was the Ranger/Explorer combined. The floor space is there and the likely simplicity of a unibody versus the BOF could allow for larger selection of powertrain in the current chassis area as well as allowing more variation on the 9 trim lines. The only thing keeping us off of 92 jph now is demand and manpower.
  4. I have been looking at used Super Duty's and it seems like a lot of them have had an engine change if they have the V10. Can anyone shed some light on this? Most have been changed with less than 100k on them.
  5. The articles that I have read stated "no more closures beyond those already announced". TCAP was told they were closing, right?
  6. If I was a betting kind of guy, I'd be putting putting my money on something similar to this. Only KC closes and the Escape goes away.
  7. And as many or more are screaming that if students and faculty were allowed to CCW per state law this could have been avoided. In Indiana and I would say most states, you must be 21 to apply for a CC permit. Many states also require a class and successful completion of a skills test. An armed society is a polite society.
  8. I'm all for reinstating corporal punishment back into the public schools. You still haven't related CCW to this though.
  9. I'm sorry. Could you clarify how CCW figures into this?
  10. Pioneer, I'm not 100% sure that you're wrong on this one, but pretty close. I think the hitch has been integrated into the frame as a crossmember since the '02 1/2 launch. I say that because I watch them go by all day and I'll be damned if I've see bolts in them yet. Are you 100% sure that yours wasn't built without a hitch and installed by the dealer? After pondering it for a bit I decided that Ford did it as a cost savings and it will deter many from doing just as the OP has suggested. Towing a load that the brakes and tranny weren't designed for without the additional towing package. I'll look again tomorrow night, but I'll just about bet that the hitch is integrated.
  11. Someone has given you some bad information there F150. The dealer must prove that the aftermarket parts caused the warranted part to fail. Gail Banks and SEMA had a huge blowout with the mfgs. 15 or 20 years ago on this. I think the specifics are still on the Banks Technologies web site.
  12. The Explorer went to its' own frame in 1995. In 1998 the Ranger was given a version of the Explorer front suspension. The ST stayed on the 1995 Explorer frame untill they quit building it. AFAIK the 2002-2005 was a new frame. The 2006 could be called a new frame as well as it had many changes.
  13. The Ranger will return home to LAP. That will be LAP at its' current location or LAP after integration with KTP.
