i would simply have them use the Escape II badge instead and have them base it off the escape. Then i would add opposite drive to the escape II. Opposite drive would be the left from and right rear tires only having power to them. This is the best driving solution.

yes i do have a bizarre sense of humor but still ford needs a business case for a speciality product for north america. Ford has stated they have canceled all rwd platforms. so that leaves either awd or fwd. i would not be suprised that the next all new mustang in 4 or 5 years might be based off a fwd lincoln platform. because why would ford spend $$$$ for just the mustang that does not share the platform with something else like a t-bird or a rwd lincoln or something. remember with cafe standards and polution standards might force ford gm and all others to go fwd or awd. i say that at least do a awd mustang with a 4cyl turbo like the svo from 1984. I would also say that perhaps ford need only two platforms one for cars and one for trucks and then merge them 4 years later into one. honda uses their minivan for there truck the ridgeline, pilot, and odysey. one platform like chrysler with the k-car.

i say how about a 2 cyl echoboost engine with 50hp. remember most personal use f-150s are used to tow only groceries from super walmart or sams club. Their really is not much of a true need unless you need to tow a 50 pound bag of dog food. Lets face it people need to reconsider their car choice. MPG figures are the new sexy in thing, not the size of your engine or your 0-60 times. Unless you brag about how long it take to get to 60. that is well yours does it in 10 seconds but mine does it in 13 seconds, so mine is better because it take 13 seconds and uses less polution then yours.

yes our new world uses a different cold then the old world. they are not the same and can cause many issues. First off we use the english measurment systems while Europe using the metric system. the two systems of air can kill you if you dont do the correct conversions to english....

ford will not use the taurus, but a converted tansit connect van as a replacement for the crown vic. along with a segway type of car after congress takes over the auto industry and renames them to congressional motors....

how about they merge the pinto and the maverick together into one retro design? a mavpint? can someone do a retro pinto and a retro mavpint? also i think ford should replace jaguar with Edsel since their is no jag now in fords lineup, and merge lincoln/mercury into Linmer. it makes no sense to have your high end product next to your low end mercury which is just a rebadged ford, and yes lincoln is just a rebadged mercury and ford with very little difference. I say heck merge ford mercury and lincoln into FoMerLin and only sell from that one line.... less marketing more profits.

i orginally thought ford was going to use a version of the f-150 to replace the ranger and naming it f100. It would be simular to what nissan does with the titan and its smaller truck and suvs they all have the same platform.

i hope that the 50th model will be a retro model of the Mustang II from the mid 70's. I believe that model was the model that had the highest sales of them all, even with the problems of the oil crisis and loss in power. Remeber if Ford can keep the weight down to lets say 2,000-2,500 pounds an eco-boost engine will be awsome i think that gets about 350hb right?
