anyone who constantly attacks the republicans and makes absolute judgement about them or any other group (liberals) is the true problem. they will paint the "opposition" as intolerant , ignorant , anti this or that and immediately attack what the other side believes and then bristle at the first disagreement anyone has with their beliefs? Why is religious belief taken out of the equation by YOU! Why do liberals get to deligitmize concerns of the opposition and then deny that to anyone arguing with them?? Because you have no answer to real , thought out concerns! If you want to have a dialouge have one , dont dicatate to those you wish to convert. people oppose abortion , people oppose higher taxes and government spending , people oppose gay marriage , people oppose protection of freddie and fannie mae and so on. Some people have concerns outside the realm of uaw and labor ! Some will not agree and that is o.k. , but it is the truth for many in our union. I know we had a top management figure visiting our plant and when we went to lunch we noticed that this guy was driving a TOYOTA!! The best part is Ford went and got this clown from there(toyota) and is paying him hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring fords business up and this is what he does???? We are constantly told that we need to be more like TOYOTA should we all start following this clowns advice as literally as he is??? How does this company make any money when it cant even keep its management team driving ITS product???? By the way this clowns name is LUCAS in the parts end of things. Wether or not this car was a rental or god forbid a personal car is IRRELEVANT. Drive a Ford , find one your the genius at the top!

If the dems are so union oriented why are they hammering the ceo's in public and creating absolute hostility towards any hope of the public supporting a buyout? Politics is Politics they (the dems and rep's) will screw you if it benefits them! The congress and the cafe standards have more to do with the uaw and the car companies being at a disadvantage than any president is. Bush and the rep. would love to see the uaw forced to open the contract , they are absolute business friendly and only care about profit margins , on the other hand the uaw is concerned with its survival and the contract and all of its contents are looked at as agreed to and to hell with the ultimate consequence on the business. The company is to blame for signing it right? Well if that is the argument , then when they say , we cant honor it we made a mistake here are the numbers( because they would have to prove that they were legit !) what would we say then? We are on the edge looking down and we need to be smart. I have posted in the past and will repeat here... Now is the time for obama to live up to his protection of the uaw. If he does not he is no different than any rep. and you rep haters better admit that. Remember Clinton gave us NAFTA not the reps! have any of the hvc's started to layoff???? just wondering if any of the buildings have lost anyone? Management told us today that 10% of them are on the way out. That means we are next right , isnt that the pattern? :titanic:

We arent shipping to pep and murrays , wherever the parts go will be. There are warehouses that are not ours (ford) that ship directly to those stores after recieving the parts from detroit. Cut out the middle man! Our plant manager said " we are looking to take some of the retail market "

have you heard of any re-labeling projects in yours or any other hvc's? They are re-labeling our ford parts and giving them motorcraft labels?????? Say it is a hvc wide program to sell to pep boys and murrays????? Something smells fishy Any info on this would be great. Think this could be problem for hvc's in long run????

We were told by almighty hazel that the supershifts were to create cost cutting in building costs :huh: If you guys are working all this overtime what was the point????? He came about two months ago and basically , as they always do , said nothing of any signifigance! In the end isnt this just about cost cutting through ,as usual ,getting rid of us and overlaping shifts to get more out of less people
