Its my understanding, after talking to a temp that they indeed did sign a paper, which stated the understand that the company may work them over 90 days, with the understanding that they would NOT be hired when reaching the 90 day MILESTONE. and If by chance they do get hired, all time accrued during their TPT statis,WILL NOT BE COUNTED AS GAINING ANY SENIORITY. All their time would revert back to zero if hired, and they will have to fullfill there 90 day probrationary period. That is the skinny at AAI. Interesting isnt it?

  6. Good job Brother........In a way sound like it was a blessing in some sort of way the factory life didnt work out for ya. I started out as a tpt in Monroe , back in the day, and was under the same strict guide lines..The Company didnt care what your excuses were why you didnt report to work. They wanted you there. PERIOD!........If you couldnt make it, you had to have a real good reason, and real good record and repore. May be we need to get back in line of that sort of mind frame and disciplanary responsabilities. (im sure there will be someone who will flame me for saying that)

Very good.......I agree.......Let me say this, You will not get change by posting here.........Sacrifice a Sunday(if thats when you have your Union Meetings) get off your duff, quit your belly aching, and ATTEND YOUR UNION MEETINGS!!!.......There is always a hand full of people, the same people every single month, dicttating how things will be done and how money will be spent!..........Im not talking to you specificacally whosure, I am telling everyone, get off you lazy hind ends and get to the Meetings if you want change!
  8. Wondering, The latest info that I have is March and April. will be 8 hrs. There is not enough orders to fill the month of May. The Company is considering two down weeks in May (the last two)...As far as the information flow at AAI, I understand your frustration, however you have to realize all the factors involved. We are dealing with buyouts, return to basic units, job bids , TPT employees coming into this plant, we are preparing for Local Contract resilutions, and how to meet the 18.7 man hrs per unit that the Company wants to reach as there goalto be Competative There is a lot of info to be had at the Union Meetings. Do you attend?
  9. Flint, The companys goal is to only keep a 60 day supply of units. So, with that in mind , we are actually only 40 days over the bench mark. I would not get alarmed over this. As far as the Mazda is concerned, its my understanding that Mazda contracts x amount of cars to be built here at AAI regardless of the inventory..........If I am interpeting this wrong, Please some one correct me...But this is my understanding....

How many sick days would we get?............How many Dr.s slips can we use?...How many time a month would we have to work before we could go off on medical?..........Can I get a restriction and take all the good jobs?......Can I come to work stoned, and miss several operations and still keep my job?...Can I tell the boss kiss my but, Im not doing that , and not get disciplined?...Can I have 32 hrs training on a job to learn how to run a screw in to a part?...Can I pull the red cord and shut down the Plant because the boss pissed me off and still keep my job?.....If not, when all you guys put your money together, and by Chrysler, dont ask me to work there..............NO WAY MAN!

Superduty, if the UAW would step up to the plate, and take some authority away from Management, in regards to "Buy Off power" in the QLS system, we , as the Membership, would have greater control over the Quality that we ship....Seems to me that BOTH parties are more interested in quanity, and not quality..............Its a shame , isnt it.

  17. Hello my friend, Im sorry to hear your dis satifaction on the paint job. The first thing that comes to my mind , is the fight that we have going on at AAI in regards to the buy offf power that Manage has on the QLS system. The District Rep in that area has been fighting to take the power of buy off, away from Management. I support her efforts!! Our UAW inspectors, will turn a car down due to defects that dosent meet the specifications set by the Company. Management , will in turn overrule the descion of the inspector, and ship the car all in the name of productivity. The buy off power of Management must be stopped!!! The Union must step up to the plate, and fight to make this happen...........Contact the International UAW, and help us fight this issue.....

I know a as Rep We here at AII are doing our best to work with the Members and Labor to make this Transition as smooth as possible...I understand your frustration, but there is no hidden agenda as far as distributing your money.......This is something that the Union or Company has ever dealt with before. There is going to be bumps in road....We will get through this.........Be cool man
  19. I dont know about that. I do know that the opportunity was given 3 yrs ago , several times to tranfer when all the Visteon signs were going up every where. Many was in denial, and some were mislead by their Local Unions in regards to leaving. Myself, I left when the BlueOval came down.. I think , and this is just my opinoion, that all ACH plants will get the leftovers...You had your chance to go 3 yrs ago, when the writing was on the wall. Some chose to bury there head in the sand and ignore it, and some chose to run..... I really think, you will, if not already have one more chance to flowback....But , you will the the last to be chosen. So, if you are ACH, sign to go, This could be your last chance. Or ,You are DOOMED! Get out of there!
