    I dont think you understand everyone talks about our wages being high (and from a newspaper item I read Honda pays their people in the US higher wages then at UAW auto plants cant remember what paper) Our wages are not the problem, mismanagement is.

    Instead of dropping our wages to equal Toyota, Why don't we raise them to equal Honda???

    He needs to prove his worth before Ford starts thowing this extra money at him.So far nothing. Hope we dont end up with a Home Depot example. He does need time to turn this ship around, but until he does he is getting very well paid, no need to start giving him extras

    True, stick is the way to go, Had an 86 Bronco with auto and the 300, it was a little hard on the gas But MAN THAT 300 WAS BULLET-PROOF!

    Agree , quality over quantity. Sad that Ford still clings to the quantity will take care of quality way. Part doesn't fit? Go to engineering and get a deviation and run it, we will sort it later, never enough time to fix it right the first time, always time to redo it

    Just curious,I use to work at the old Jeep plant several years ago about the time they were gearing up for the Liberty at their new plant, wondering if you knew if the old plant is still operating

    Didn't the butchers at Wal Mart at one time unionize and Wal Mart got rid of them and start buying pre cut? I was thinking I read this a while back, but not really sure.

    The new hire production people at Delphi were hired at reduced wages (14 hr) Skilled trades hired at the same rate as before. People than didn't take buy out or transfer kept their same rate. I'm sure there will be many changes when our contract gets hammered out.

    Well as a matter of fact I'm retired from Ford and working at Delphi, and I did at one time turn wrenches for a living. yes it is a bitch of a job, but I was smart enough to do something else instead of pi** & moan about it.
