  1. Don't think Ford will ever have enough available capacity to build enough Ranger's to outsell the Taco.
  2. Don't know the full plan for WAP, but there will be 50 sequencing jobs coming for the Bronco (Focus was only 30). We were given 4 weeks to completely empty the building. There relocating General Stores and tearing down the old Union offices. Sounds like almost every square inch is going to be used within the next 2 years.
  3. MAP paint shop will be getting new spray robots sometime before Bronco production starts. Currently paint shop can only paint Rangers at half the speed that Final runs at. That's why there on 2 shifts. Still using same spray robots as Focus. Painting a Ranger cab and bed is like painting 2 Focus.
  4. 440 is the scheduled build number per day for all last week. 400 crew cabs, 40 super cabs.
  5. Took a look at a Ranger today. You can do it without removing the tire. Turn the wheel all the way to the right, remove two push pins on the rubber shield, fold it up and you have full access to the filter. Push pins are the type with a philips head were you can screw the center out to remove. Has a nice drain tray to route the filter oil just behind the sway bar. Looks like it will be cleaner and easier to do than my Ecoboost F-150
  6. TFLtrucks has many towing videos on youtube. No Ranger towing videos yet.
  7. I'll add my fuel to the fire. Talking to a usually reliable source at MAP, was told the Everest will be a future third vehicle for the plant. Will depend alot on the success of Ranger and Bronco. Hopefully this rings true. A rebadge Everest as a Bronco would be a waste. My hopes would be: Bronco goes back to it original roots. 2 and 4 door removable hardtop, removable doors not a deal breaker. Regular models front IFS suspension. Would be great for most who will just cruise to beach and never go off road. SVT version solid front axle and coilovers on all 4 corners. Will be what the true off roaders will want. To me that would be a great start to a Jeep Wrangler killer.
  8. Jan 23 and 30 is what my boss told us last week. That's why keyword it tentatively. Will probably change 4 more times before it actually get scheduled
  9. January 23 and 30 are the next tentatively scheduled weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if it will be 2 weeks on 2 weeks off for most of the year. Also hearing a good chance we will be off the whole months of July.
  10. Last I had heard was no more layoffs until October. A few bad months of sales could change that again thou.
  11. One of 12 upcoming layoff weeks by the end of the year. That's what my boss told me was tentatively scheduled. No idea on future dates thou.
  12. currently 23 of the 673 are skilled trades
  13. Here is the email I received 2014 Profit Sharing FAQ final.pdf
  14. It was forwarded to all trades workers by our committee man. We have got it every year with the current contract.
  15. At MAP we received it in a email on Wednesday last week. It is $2.982. Avgerage for hours worked was about 2300.
  16. It was out last week. $2.982 per hour
  17. the multiplier is $2.982 per compensated hour.
  18. It divides you into 2 Groups, 2 days to midnights. Group 1 will work every Mon and Tues and be off every Thurs and Fri. Group 2 will be off Mon and Tues and work every Thrus and Fri. The groups will rotate Wed, Sat and Sun. A 2 week Schedule for Group 1 would be M-W, Tu-W, W-off, Th-off, Fri-off, Sat-W, Sun-W, Mon-W, Tu-W, W-W, Th-off, Fri-off, Sat-off, Sun-off. A 2 week schedule for Group 2 would be M-off, Tu-off, W-W, Th-W, Fri-W, Sat-off, Sun-off, M-off, Tu-off, W-off, Th-W, Fri-W, Sat-W, Sun-W. Those are 12hr shift 7 to 7. Thats how we are doing it at MAP. During the week after 10hrs I believe its time and quarter and the weekends it time and a half. So one week you get 39hrs pay and 52hrs the next.
