  1. That's news to me, I didn't know any Va people, not West Va went to the stamping plant.
  2. That's funny! Who's from West Virginia? Does he mean Virginia? I hope he knows WV and VA are 2 different states.
  3. Yep! you are right, they have chosen to layoff a shift. :shades:
  4. Sorry too hear about Tisdale, I worked with him, and yes he is out there! but he's a very nice man.
  5. Thanks for the information, I'm going to file in Mi this time.
  6. I faxed it to the number that was giving to us from chelsea. A lady called me back and said that the fax was received. Local 600 gave me 313 322-7433 to check and see if my sub-pay was put in but it is saying the number is disconnected. The sub office is moving to another location off site, so nobody can tell me anything until they finish moving. Sub pay is put in on tuesdays and thursdays, I will check back on thursday.
  7. I faxed my information last week, call today and NO sub-pay was put in yet! They are moving today, so good luck with getting paid this week. I have a card with a list of DTP numbers and know one can give me any answers to simple and easy questions. I try to stay away from dealing with DTP at all but in some cases I have too. I've worked with alot of people that transferred from other plants to NAP, not once did I hear anybody complaining about not getting paid. Glad to be in VA, this is real heat, hot! hot! but I'm loving it. Thank you chelsea for the update.
  8. Have anyone that filed in VA received their sub pay? I'm hearing the people that filed in VA have not received theirs yet!
  9. I'm a ex-NAP good fellow, I'm just hoping he does a much better job then what we have now! I'm going to give the guy a chance before I shoot him down.
  10. Joe is on his way out, Nick will take over July 1, I think he will make a lot of changes. Talk to Nick and see what answers he can give you about the posted team leader jobs.
  11. WOW!!!Please tell me you're joking. I Hope you are not mad at Nick because he's telling the people on C crew the truth. He has nothing to do with DTP losing a shift, the lost will be due to gas prices and sales...I'm glad someone is starting to tell us something.
  12. http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=750365142&play=1
  13. I was watching the news on CNBC and it's not looking good at all for truck plants.
  14. Like I said!! it's a matter of opinion. It has nothing to do with adapting or unhappiness, I don't like Michigan. I do not count my blessing because I receive so many of them...I can not count that high. I thank God for everything I've received, not just a job. If you love it here...that great, I'm happy for you. I love my life, don't need a new one. GO BOSTON CELTICS!
  15. Hopefully somebody from dayshift will give us answers when they get off work.
  16. You are right, it is a matter of opinion...I will have 13 yrs in July. Don't want to see DTP lose a shift but if they did, another move wouldn't bother me at all. I clearly understand now, this is the nature of the business.
  17. Yes I think Va is soooo great, :happy feet: I only moved here to work...leave every chance I get. Glad to hear a few transferees liking it because most don't!!
  18. I guess NOT!!! We will see how it will all trun out. :shades:
  19. Don't like starting rumors but the rotating shifts is the one I heard. It will cost Ford too much money to run KC on one shift.
  20. Taking work from another plant is never good. I'm sure KC will do anything to keep the work there. Like fordtworker1993 said the bomb will drop on one of the truck plants, we all will know very soon.
  21. I agree H.D. Canton is a nice place to live. Some of the Va people that purchased homes there, really like the area.
  22. Welcome TanksRus, the union is the big problem here but hopefully it will get better once we vote them out!!! I've been working here over a year and I don't think about whether it's bad or not, I just do my job and go home. I don't ask to many questions because I can never get a straight answer from management or the union. I think everything in life is what you make it, so don't worry, you should be ok.
  23. I talked to 2 people that are taking this round of buyouts from NAP but I heard it is more, don't know the numbers. I'm also hearing a lot of horror stories from Ex Napers. I go home every chance I get, don't like MI! I just deal with it, no big deal. I'm looking forward to the summer months, can't wait too see the sun shining everyday when I wake up in the morning. God Bless all Napers.
