  1. With 2,200 on the clock, mine has smoothed out considerably.
  2. Around 7 weeks, give or take a few days.
  3. Very nice and unexpected gift from Ford!
  4. Went rummaging through my typical piles of junk mail tonight to find an envelope from Ford Credit. My inquisitive sense got the best of me so I opened it and found another envelope with the word "Thanks" in large font on the front and a $50 iTunes gift card for purchasing a 2012 Focus! This was totally unexpected. Has anyone else gotten one?
  5. Seems you've forgotten this dust-up. http://www.faniq.com/blog/Carl-Edwards-Chokes-Kevin-Harvick-On-Thursday-During-Bank-Of-America-500-Qualifying-Blog-12654
  6. I'm glad to hear yours has smoothed out considerably, svtenthusiast. I'm approaching 600 miles and have noticed some improvement and am hoping for similar gains comparable to your experience with more miles on the clock.
  7. As a 2012 Focus Powershift owner, I can substantiate MT's claims regarding the shifting of this unit. Now, let it be known that I am in no way defending MT, rather providing some insight based on personal experience. When the transmission is cold, shifts are harsh and RPM's flare to nearly 3,000 RPM, even under the lightest of throttle, with a significant amount of jerking experienced during the shift, with a similar feel as it shifts into 3rd. Beyond this, shifts are buttery smooth up into 4th and beyond. As the trans warms up, the shifts smooth out considerably. However, there is some lingering flaring and jerking shifting into 2nd even after driving several miles. I am now nearing my 2nd week of ownership, and have noticed some improvement - likely due to the adaptive shift strategy learning my conservative driving style. My hopes are that this will continue to smooth out with time, as the Powershift is nowhere near as smooth as the 4-speed AT in either my '05 or '08 Foci. Overall, however, shifts are quicker into subsequent gears with less torque loss between shifts, except for that ever-rough shift into 2nd.
  8. I'd love to post pics, but it's been rainy and cloudy everyday since Saturday and I want to detail it first, as well as tint the windows.
  9. Picked up one of these myself last Saturday and there's a few things I'd like to add to the discussion that I haven't seen anyone mention yet. I'm all about details and I really like the idea of the LED dome lights in this car, as well as the LED license plate light. It adds a classy touch. Also, the high beams on this car are the best I've seen in any vehicle I've been in. Also of note is the seating position is perfect. The car fits me like a glove. Congrats to all the others out there who are enjoying their new rides too!
  10. This is good news. Is this a national or a regional campaign? To my knowledge, there are no current deals of this nature here in SE MI. My lease is up on my 2008 next month, and attractive lease rates on the 2012 might put it at the top of my short list.
  11. Mine does; it's an '08. It was only the coupe that had the sealant/inflation pack - all sedans were equipped with spares.
  12. The side profile of the hatchback is absolutely hideous. It has the old Aveo profile with a drooping, snarling and very confused-looking front-end that makes me want to turn my head and hurl.
  13. It actually makes me a little nauseous. I see GM is lauding this thing as a legitimate Fiesta beater. I wonder if it will be able to compete on the MPG front?
  14. Any guesses on what an MSRP might be? I'm thinking that since the Focus electric will have MFT, Nav and many of the Titanium hatch features, I'm going to venture a guess of an MSRP around 30K. Over 10K less than the Volt.
  15. Do the wheels on this car look familiar to anyone? They're nearly exactly the same design as the 17" wheels optional on the 2012 Focus SE w/ Sport package.
  16. Good choice. Honesty, the Ingot Silver is probably the nicest silver I've seen and is certainly near the top of the list. If they had the Monterrey Grey that the Fiesta has, I'd be sold. And I can understand your anxiousness at wanting to pick this thing up despite not getting the parking tech package. We've been waiting far to long for a Focus like this!
  17. Wow! Congrats! What color did you go with? I've considered pre-ordering, but I don't want to pull the trigger without seeing the colors in person. I've decided I'm done leasing, and want to purchase this one and keep it around for a while, so I want to make sure I get the color I like best. Gotta post the pics when you pick it up next spring!
  18. Actually, tan hasn't been an option in a Focus since '07 at least. Medium light stone is available on trim levels below Titanium. I have this on my '08 and it looks like a mixture of tan and gray.
  19. I noticed that upon further inspection. This is good to hear! Also, love the availability of four-wheel discs, which I believe were only relegated to the SVT and ST in the past.
  20. I saw a Cruze in person with manufacturer plates on it a couple of weeks ago. While a nice-looking car, it doesn't really catch your eye since it's essentially a baby Malibu. With that said, it looks like the Cruze has already been out a couple of years, and given this I don't think it will age well. In contrast, the Focus looks like nothing else out there on our shores right now.
  21. I suppose it makes sense from a cost-cutting standpoint. I've only had people in the back seat of my Focus a few times anyway.
  22. I can't recall another Ford vehicle in the past with only powered front windows.
  23. I was too wondering what this was. I'm thinking a very light silver. This Blue Candy caught my attention too. Perhaps a similar, but slightly different take on blue flame? And finally POWER seats and LUMBAR in a Focus!!! On the titanium trim, anyway.
