  1. I prefer the sedan front to the X front. My opinion, of course.
  2. I couldn't have said it better. I have one and it is perfect for us. I can only shake my head at Ford for not promoting it.
  3. Here's a pic of the black interior. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...ost&id=5287
  4. Man, did you have a lot of Taurus Troubles, Len. Our '94 had front brakes replaced at 60K and that is the only brake repair/replacement ever needed. The rear shoe are original. Ours has 101K on it and maybe the fact that my wife drove it for all these years made a difference. It's been a very reliable and long lasting car. Only a water pump, idler and tensioner pulleys needed replacing (above normal maintenance). Paint is near perfect too.
  5. And that will be less people saying, "What kind of car is that?"
  6. The AWD Taurus is actually heavier and weighs in at 3920 lb.
  7. I agree too. I have an '08 Taurus and it's perfect for what we need. Folks that see our car like it but it's always, "That's a Taurus?". I don't bother saying that it used to be a Five Hundred because they have never heard of a FH. To Ford's marketing department....
  8. When are the pictures? We want pictures! :stats:
  9. I just PM'd you. Yes it is here indeed. A beautiful car it is and your help along the way is greatly appreciated. :happy feet: :happy feet:
  10. I don't think you need to worry as when I ordered last June, production barely had begun. Add to that the fact that my dealer's allocation took three months to come up. I think the size of the dealership may have something to do with it too. I too, wanted the car exactly optioned. I don't regret ordering one bit. Go ahead and order it!
  11. Hah! Your 8-ball needs adjusting. Celebrate with me as I observe the 14 week mark today. Dealer didn't return email from last Thursday and so far hasn't returned my call from this morning to check Vehicle Visibility to see exactly where my car is. I had better service via phone from a sales manager at another dealer that check on my car (he can't see another dealer's car in transit). He was being more helpful even after he knew that he did not have the car optioned as I needed. I will stop by the dealer in person - again - to have them check where my car is.
  12. I agree with your AWD quote. And regarding the fuel economy (and HP) - stress that it does it on regular grade fuel and not on premium like most others with a similar engine.
