  1. https://evadoption.com/resources/federal-electric-vehicle-ev-tax-credit-works/how-the-federal-ev-tax-credit-amount-is-calculated-for-each-ev/ This verifies how to use the formula... so a 13.6kw PHEV should have a $6,503 credit.
  2. The 2020 530e xDrive has a 12kw battery and a $5,836 tax credit. That follows the formula exactly, incuding the first $417. $2,500 + $417 + (12-5)×417 = $5,836. So the Aviator's credit is either a mistake or the final battery size is smaller than advertised... for a $6,042 tax credit the battery size would be 12.494kw.
  3. I always thought it would be $6,500 based on the formula. Not sure how they came up with $6,042... even leaving out the first $417 wouold still be higher at $6,086.
  4. https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxevb.shtml The Aviator Grand Touring tax credit has finally been listed as $6,042. I don't think there were any delivered until early January... so its going to be another long wait to claim it!
  5. Good to see its back on track! Next step after origin recieved/in production was released/awaiting shipment with new eta's for mine. Of course that was back on Dec 28 and now it's not due until the first week of Feb... but I've heard eta's and shipments are finally ramping up!
  6. Try refreshing a couple times or try it on a different device. I've heard that it doesn't always show the latest info when using the same device repeatedly. I was checking mine and decided to try yours using vin from your window sticker... for me it's saying origin recieved/in production but no eta yet.
  7. Try the Ford tracker... Sent Offsite has changed to Origin Recieved.
  8. https://parksidemotors.ca/why-does-my-car-smell-like-rotten-eggs/ Could also just be how it was driven. A problem would most likely trigger the check engine light and register a trouble code.
  9. You might want to check your status again!
  10. Yes, and some dealers reordered on their own without being asked and in a few cases they were advised to reorder by their rep.
  11. My dealer recieved its first truck load of Aviators in July and it was a mix of Reserves and Black Labels. I posted info and photos in another thread back then after spending a good while inspecting them... fit and finish was perfect on all of them. Black labels are built at the same time as all the other models, they also go down the line intermixed with Explorers. Ford took a known gamble and tried to minimize production downtime between the outgoing 2019 models and the all new 2020 models to just 30 days. It would have been a huge achievement if it all went as planned, but they obviously had backup plans already in place in case it didn't... because they started shipping cars to Flat Rock for QC in mass shortly after. So then the question is why did they intentionally start production at nearly full capacity and continue cranking them out with known issues requiring QC repairs? For the same reasons other manufactures have done it. It doesn't make sense but in the automotive world revenue is booked when units leave the plant, not when they're sold. This creates huge pressure to keep pumping out units and deal with initial QC issues outside of the plant. Tesla did the same thing with the Model 3 and their tent is still being utilized to build them. That said, the units you're tracking must be among the first 12K or so units produced. The issues with those were being identified and addressed during that phase and if you track recent vins you'll see non-hybrids are now being shipped within days of production and beating many of those initial builds to dealers... and have been for a while. Shortly after the plant reopened they realized that adding hybrids into the production mix was overly complicated for the main line. So they made another astonishingly quick investment on a secondary line, at their Modification Center several blocks away, dedicated to doing final assembly of hybrids. The new hybrid line receives painted bodies from the main plant.
  12. My expired eta dates finally updated to first week of February! I've also heard of two retail orders that returned from offsite... one shipped already and the other is awaiting shipment. Hope yours returns soon... keep an eye on your status!
  13. Send me a PM if you ever need someone to haul away any toys you don't play with anymore... I'd be more than happy to help you declutter, LOL!!!
  14. This is an apples and oranges comparison and not at all related to what Ford faced at CAP. Building a new plant at a new location is as easy as it gets... nothing was being produced there before so there is zero revenue loosing down time to work around. They can take their time to insure a clean launch, including hiring and training a mostly new work force. Ford also had successful launches with the biggest truck redesigns in history that required entirely new processes to stamp and assemble aluminum bodies. While they retooled existing plants, it's still apples and oranges because they had multiple assembly plants and staged the retooling to maintain production. Retooling a single high capacity plant that churns out the most popular SUV, while mimimizing revenue loosing down time, was an impossible task for anyone... let alone doing it on an entirely new chassis while adding an additional model that only shares the basic floor pan. Lost revenue means lost market share, negative year over year sales reports, and upset shareholders... which drove the decision to retool the plant and launch at nearly full capacity in an astonishing 30 days. The ONLY thing Ford could have done differently to avoid this rough launch would have been building a new plant at a new location while producing the old model, then switching over when everything is good to go (sound familiar?). There are numerous reasons why they didn't do that... history, infrastructure, workforce, suppliers, cost, planning, politics, etc, etc. So instead of thinking about apples and oranges... think about rocks and hard places instead!!!
  15. I'd be happy with some decent end of 2020 MY incentives!
  16. Another puzzling thing is my window sticker disappeared after status updated to released/awaiting shipment on Dec 28 and never came back. I just get the check back later sticker not released yet message again... is that normal?
  17. Still awaiting shipment... eta start/end dates never updated even though they were last week. Only thing that changed is it now says pending update under eta disposition... I have no idea what that means.
  18. Some are being deIivered to customers... see last post in the Aviator, Sasquatch thread for a photo. The earliest delverery date I've heard of was Jan 3rd in Illinois. I've also heard of two being delivered to to the same dealer in California the other day and another to Allentown, PA. The strange thing is its looking like they did it backwards for the GT, with retail orders being delivered first... I haven't heard of any stock orders being delivered yet.
  19. Speaking of your GT order... did it return from offsite yet?
  20. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/cars/story/2020-01-05/2020-lincoln-aviator-grand-touring-cleared-for-takeoff Nice review... hopefully they'll be landing on dealer lots soon!!!
  21. I've only heard of two orders that have shipped and they are currently in transit to California, one shipped on Dec 30 and the other on Dec 31. Both are retail orders...
  22. My window sticker quit working after my status updated to released/awaiting shipment... is that normal or did it stop working for everyone around December 28?
  23. Looks like "transitDate" fills in after status changes to released/awaiting shipment. It's a two digit number, mine is 10... I've seen others with 15 and 17. Could be the estimated number of days in transit after it ships, don't know what else it could be.
  24. I sure hope so, but I believe Sync 4 will require different hardware and the first vehicle to get it will be the Mach-E.
  25. "Employees at Ford’s Autonomous Vehicle, Bronco and Ranger modification center in Wayne will complete Ford’s first autonomous vehicles starting in 2021, including installing the vehicles’ unique self-driving technology and unique purpose-built interiors. This will be the first center of its kind for Ford and will drive synergies with the company’s existing AV research functions in Dearborn and Detroit. At that same location, Bronco and Ranger will be modified for customers." See last sentence... sounds like Ford will be offering factory custimazation/accessory installation for the new Bronco and Ranger!
