  1. So you think this is ok? People holding hands, running/jogging next to each other, breathing heavy, sweating? And no, quarantining is keeping you separate from everyone else.. staying home unless you have to buy some necessities. It is not going for a stroll down the coast, riding your scooter around or going for walks on a nice sunny day. STAY HOME! And let's not talk about these moron spring breakers....
  2. Why would you be out of work? I just called my credit union, they are offering all vehicle loan customers 6 months no payments. If they can do it (non profit), these huge corporations (banks) taking in billions in profits can do it too. A few months of delayed payments when it is added to the end of the loan is not going to close banks. It isn't like we are asking for the loan to go away. The taxpayers bailed out all these slimy banks several years ago, there is zero reason they can't help by delaying payments. PS, Gov of NY just issued all mortgages and interest be deferred hauling payments. I expect more to follow. My wife just said, why defer if we can pay. My response was, you are absolutely right and we will pay BUT we need to prepare. Don't think about 2 weeks from now, think 6 months from now if it doesnt improve and that's why we need to prepare now.
  3. I disagree. How many vehicles are on lots? There is plenty for people to buy if they need one. And how many people are buying $50,000 vehicles right now? How many banks are loaning money? How many people are committing to $500-$1,000 a month. My guess is very little.
  4. Absolutely right. My kids are home for 3 weeks now for remote learning. Frankly, they are not going back to school this year. If we don't all shut down together for a month, it will be the same (worse) 3 weeks from now then today which means, there won't be school. No point in shutting down some and not all. San Francisco is under quarantine yet people were out running/jogging/walking.. on their scooters. How enraging!! People are not taking it seriously. I don't even want stimulus money.. how about all credit cards, mortgages, loan payments be suspended for 3 months, tack it on to the back of the loan and close us down. No bills due, no income is much easier to get us through, especially with unemployment (temporary). Anyways, I side tracked this enough. As you said, be safe all.
  5. Screwed? You got 225,000 miles on the trans. You are looking for a handout with 225,000 miles on the odometer?
  6. Lamborghini is working on it.. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/billroberson/2019/09/06/what-are-supercapacitors-and-what-are-they-doing-in-lamborghinis-new-sin-supercar/amp/
  7. https://www.yahoo.com/news/tesla-factory-workers-company-still-153908210.html December a machine at the Fremont factory would break down about twice a day. And a former Model 3 assembly-line worker who left Tesla during the fourth quarter of last year said in the months before his departure, a machine that lifted wheel-well liners to the production line would break down four times a week, while a robot that inserted the Model 3's front seats broke down as many as five times in a single day. Those numbers are much higher than at a typical auto factory, which may go over a month between machine breakdowns, said Sandy Munro, the CEO of the manufacturing consulting firm Munro & Associates and a former Ford executive. "The machines almost never go down," he said. For Tesla, part of the problem may lie in a lack of maintenance. Tesla does not perform a lot of preventive maintenance on machines in the Fremont factory so that it can maximize production numbers, five current and former Tesla employees said. The lack of built-in maintenance time has meant repairs amount to Band-Aids, rather than long-term fixes, workers said. At Tesla, "they would measure their downtime in hours, if not days, per year, where Toyota would measure their downtime in minutes per year because Toyota would do preventive maintenance regularly." Quite the rEVolution over at Tesla.
  8. Tesla execs summoned in China https://www.yahoo.com/news/tesla-got-hauled-chinese-government-095139993.html
  9. There are so many sc 5.0s being done by mod dealers, ford could easily throw that in for 700+HP.
  10. https://www.yahoo.com/autos/jeep-gladiator-wrangler-recalled-clutch-204600200.html More than 33,000 of Jeep's popular Wrangler and Gladiator are being recalled to fix a problem with the clutch pressure plate. The recall involves 2018 through 2020 Wrangler SUVs and 2020 Gladiators with manual transmissions built between August 23, 2017, and February 13, 2020. Included are 29,818 Wranglers and 3419 Gladiators. A report published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says the clutch pressure plate could become overheated from friction, which could cause the pressure plate to fracture, which in turn could crack or fracture the transmission case. If that happened, heated "debris" could contact ignition sources and cause a fire. The fractured pressure plate could also cause "a loss of propulsion" or drivability, according to the NHTSA document. NHTSA said the driver could notice a burnt-clutch smell or could experience "excessive or abnormal" clutch-pedal travel; either could be a sign that the clutch is about to fail.
  11. More leaked images. No way ford isnt leaking these on purpose. Especially with the NY auto show postponed. https://www.instagram.com/p/B9kkyVVhCdZ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  12. 1,000,000th vehicle of unprofitability. Congrats to Tesla for reaching this mildstone. Proud moments happening right there.
  13. The thing will sound beastly compared to the Raptors v6. I suppose they could always throw a supercharged 5.0 in it. But not sure if Ford would ever do it. But if this article is correct, you will have a lot of people looking at it compared to the 450hp the raptor has.
  14. That's when you place a courtesy call to the Police about the dealer not returning your property. Their attitude would change real quick.
  15. So, 700hp+. Yes it is a different market then most buyers but what does one thing Ford will do in response? https://www.yahoo.com/autos/hellcat-powered-ram-rebel-trx-153100055.html I cant imagine it getting any more then low teens for mpg in a tall, heavy high powered truck with huge tires.
  16. Shit, a $61k Explorer doesnt even have hood struts.
  17. Pricing starts at $48,900 loaded with standard features. Wow!! https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/genesis-announces-pricing-gv80-competition-143001753.html " Genesis doesn’t skimp on standard features to get to that low base price, either. Right out of the gates, the GV80 comes with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, keyless access and a hands-free rear liftgate. Standard interior amenities include heated front seats with memory, a telescoping power-tilt steering column, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, 10 airbags and adjustable interior ambient lighting. The GV80’s standard tech is notable, too, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on a 14.5-inch infotainment display, an 8-inch instrument cluster display with analog gauges and a 12-speaker premium audio system with HD and satellite radio. If you’re wondering if a base GLE-Class comes that well-equipped, it doesn’t."
  18. Crazy that someone who hasnt had a Ford in god knows how long remains on this forum several times a day.
