  1. That Platinum Edition sounds/looks very nice from spy photos.
  2. I dont know what to say, while Chevy may have tallied Geo sales w/ Chevy sales, I remember the Geo products were Chevrolet badged as well. The Scion vehicles, however are not badged as Toyota vehicles. So, as I said, I'm undecided.
  3. I mean since Navistar seems to be such an angel.
  4. I'm impressed, Richard, very quick response. Good work! I hve the "This thread is hijacked" picture ready if necessary! I agree, not a good way to start off your BOF career.
  5. This one would work too, LOL.
  6. I personally, wouldn't compare Jeep and Land Rover. The only thing they compare in is off-road capabilties and for Jeep that, IMO, lies in one vehicle: Wrangler, not really the whole lineup, even though some of the other vehicles can go off-roading. ALL of Land Rover's vehicles from Freelander 2/LR2 up to Range Rover, are designed specifically to go off-roading and have LR's Terrain Response System. Add to that, LR's premium placement in the marketplace, and the difference between the two companies is even more evident.
  7. I think it will continue to impact sales of inefficient vehicles.
  8. I don't think Ford breaks down sales numbers by model (they may do it for themselves, but not publically, from what I've seen). I see quite a few as well. I think the market for them may be partially just the desire for a customized truck that has already been customized, but that's my guess. Since you brought up that they were all black, do you all remember the silver and black one Ford produced for a while?
  9. Most people on here are all over the place on all threads, even if they just reading and don't post on that thread.
  10. I had it even longer at first, I shortened it because I was thinking about off-roading capability. That said, how many 4-door Wrangler owners do you expect to actually go off-roading?
  11. So now we have several conflicting statements. I suppose we've had this type of thing before about the same vehicle though, I guess we'll just have to wait until Ford announces something officially.
  12. lol, I just noticed you're from Alaska. (just a little off topic)
  13. I think there's a market for a mid-size coupe/convertible, as shown by the G6.
  14. I understand what you're saying. However w/ the Taurus, even, given the vehicle and it's almost mini-SUV stance (from seating position, etc), it may not even serve as a good basis for this type of vehicle.
  15. Thanks. You said it could be Taurus based, isn't that essentially what a model based off Taurus X would be? I really don't see Ford doing it either, but it was an idea of mine, so I made the chop.
  16. I don't know if any of you noticed, but that's actually the grille/headlights, etc. off the Ford Equator concept a few years back (basically an Escape w/ a new front end). I think this one is the 2000 Equator (truck) concept, but I think it looks kinda cool.
  17. If you can somehow get to 88 in one, you begin time travel.
  18. Would it really be that big of a problem? I see how it could be, now that I look at it. I suppose it could depend on how the hinge itself works as well. I didn't really think about that when I did the chop.
  19. I'm just guessing here, but from the looks of it, it appears the the 04(?) Bronco concept was based on that design. I could be wrong though, like I said, I'm just going by looks.
  20. Isn't that on everybody's "To Do" list these days?
  21. You're close, I'm 17. So, no I don't 'remember' the Excel of the mid-80s, LOL.
  22. We have 3 (one is a company vehicle though): an Expedition, an F-150, and a 335i convertible.
