  1. Sorry no sympathy from me on this....Courtesy is given. Respect is earned! You want respect then earn it..Don't think people owe it to you or anyone.... Ford can do what they wish to do with there money...I for one will not be making any donations to this cause out of my pocket other than buying a car..I do not have the right to tell Ford or anyone else what to do with the profit.. Comparing women's right to Gay rights is like comparing a boat to a plane. As far as equal rights..Give me a break..There are equal rights...Hey if someone gives a gay a good a$$ whipping it is a hate crime...Now it may not have a thing to do with hate..It could be that they needed or deserved it......So if you ask me they have rights I don't have...I'm an American Indian..If someone whips me do you think it is a hate crime?...No I problely asked for it...I'm so tired of people telling me I have to be understanding and sympathy.."NO I DON"T" I do not have to do anything but be a productive member of society...That is all we all need to do no matter what we think or believe...Don't think I have to conform to others life style or agree with it or understand it....Guess what I have the right not to!. We are becoming the land of the offended...Some people need to grow up.
  2. It's hard to beat a CV.... If you ever turned one around at 60mpg sliding through the median in a pursuit and never missed a beat you would understand. It is the most stable platform I have driven...I came from the days of the old Dodges 440's and the newer Impalas....Give me my choice and I'll take a CV any day and in real life chase I'll be in the top vehicles and not overheat, have broken suspension from driving up on side walks.... How many CV did you see sitting at a accident scene running with lights on that they had to open the hood to keep the motor from over heating... I dont see this vehicle ever replacing the CV... Could the CV use some updates...yea..what car could not...
  3. I've driven the Impalas and the CV's...If I were going to be in a pursuit I much rather be in a CV....Hands down...More protection and a more solid vehicle....
  4. I removed it because I was taken care of. If I could kill this thread I would... The ad I received said that all diesel trucks come with the traction control. After I picked up my truck I discovered it did not have the traction control...Ford installed it for me.
  5. Dealer turned this on for my F-450 today..Labor cost of $79.95. All labor no parts...
  6. I want anyone in the upper management level with Ford know that you have a great employee in Tom Aubrey. Not only did he take care of my issues he called me several time to explain the status and make sure I had a complete understanding of all actions taken on my truck...Hat's off to Tom and I hope that you can issue something to Tom to let him know how much his attention to detail and commitment to Ford and it's customers means to you!...I only wish you could clone him as you would always have great customer service.... My personal email address is jody@jamdaniel.com if you would like to communicate with me personally. If someone knows who Tom works for and can give me a name and address I will make sure that they get a letter of appreciation for everything Tom did for me! :happy feet:This is why I own Fords!
  7. They had a few issues with getting the PCM to accept the flash for the Traction Control... Once they had that worked out it has worked flawlessely. Had them turn on the day time running lights also while they had it... Took truck out to a wet grass field and tried to make the rear end spin out in a sharp turn. The traction control took over and I never lost control...Truck tracked very true....It is great...I would never buy another vehicle without this...Hats off to Ford for first making a great truck and also for making me a even more satisifed customer... Bear in mind I was upset earlier but you never heard me say this truck was bad or not worth the cost...I loved this truck from the time I drove it off the lot.....I did not want a different truck..Was very glad they could add the traction control...Let your friend know they did a great job and the system is flawless!
  8. I've seen some on the road...I do not know what the mind set is with these vehicles...I would never want to slide one through a grass median to make a quick turn on a vehicle. I bet they would flip like a politian.....The way fule is getting someone needs to be looking at the dollars or they will be crying for more tax dollars...You know how that goes..We have to live inside a budget but the goverment does not as they just reach into our pockets....lol....
  9. Truck is at Dealers now and they are installing the Traction Control. Should have it back in a few days...Said it might be Monday before they finish it...Will let you know once I get it back if everything functions well...... Hope you had a good Turkey Day...I set up a tent in the living room and me and the granddaughters made us a hiding place and camped out that night.....
  10. Please explain the term "Hold Back Money"
  11. Crow Vic is the Officers choice. If these cars can beat the Vic then they may get some road time....I'm sure they will give a couple away to Atlanta PD to get a good real life testing... Hey even BMW gave a couple of there bigger sedans to SCHP to see how they did..Price was a killer though....
  12. Drivers foot / leg compartment appears to have collapsed. I'll keep my F-450 thank you!
  13. I hope you are not right on this one. I spent many a day and night in a Crown Vic...That car saved my life in two different cases. Once it took several slugs from a shotgun with me behind the fender as a shooter was trying to pick me off.... His Jeep did not protect him as well when I threw three rounds from my Mossberg into it..... I rolled a Vic three times in a chase and walked away with a few scratched and bruises.... You talk with a line officer and he will tell you by far the Crown Vic is the car of choice....Besides if a citizen sees the Police utilizing Crown Vic's they will know that this car offers dependability and safety..... I retired several years ago, some of my friends (still in the business) have been issues the Dodges...They do not like them...Say the car does not fee; as stable and has allot of body roll...Visibility is not as good..... I remember when the NC Highway Patrol went with the Dodges in the old days of the 440's they would order a extra transmission for every car....Say's allot about dependability of the tranmissions back then...(early 70's)
  14. If you do a little research you can find out if it was a Line Office, Sgt, Lt or Capt car. That makes allot of difference on how hard the car was utilized. If it was a line car I would not touch it...

  16. Put paddles on steering wheel to change gears also......This way when you are mudding you do not have to take your hands off the wheel...
  17. Guess I'm lucky. I'm at the age and place in life I do not have to be tolerant.
  18. Did you ever find out what he was talking about with the daytime running lights
  19. If you read the Ford ad (in my original post) you will see that is indicates it as being on all diesels....Guess correct term would have been "Equipment".... When the ad stated as it being on all of our trucks I did not see the need to ask such a question...... So when you purchase an item that is advertised as having what you want you ask......When you go to buy Band-Aids with antibiotic added. you ask before you buy it "Does this contain the Antibiotics?...Now I know there is a huge difference in band-aids to a truck but come on give me a break.....Guess since it says in the ad that it has the strongest bolt in the industry attaching the bed...Oh Mr. Salesman I see here the ad says this truck has the strongest bolts attaching the bed to the truck" So does my truck have this equipment....Same as with the truck having a shorter turning radius...Mr. Salesman does my truck also have the ......ect...ect...ect...... If a company puts it in print you should have faith that they mean it...not just a random statement....
  20. Please explain.. I would like to have the day time running lights..... Thank you for your assistance. :stats:
  21. Just wanted to tell the guys who worked on, developed and assembled this truck you hit a home run!....Great vehicle...Far surpasses my 2004 F-250 6.0L.....Wish it got a little better mileage but it's a truck.......It rides better than the 250. Is quieter and even though it has a long bed has a shorter turning radius. HOME RUN!!!!! :happy feet:
  22. They offered to exchange the truck but I have to say I told them I'd rather keep this one..It is a blast to drive....I will post as soon as I get it completed..... Like I said earlier Ford has hit a home run with this truck....I have gotten my friend into one last week......Man they pull like nothing else I've ever owned....It makes the 2004 6.0 look like a baby... I know some people will say wel if a new truck was offered I'd take it.. I have my 5th wheel hitch mounted and set up like I wanted it so i did not want to go through all that again....It only has 5K on it....
  23. If you start at the beginning of this post you will see a copy of Ford's ad stating that it is standard on every diesel....Guess it is incorrect to think if a company makes such a statement that they would not have it as standard equipment......My bad for reading the advertisement and thinking it would be true...Guess I should look at it as snake oil ad's....No I do not look at standard equipment..The add-on is what I'm concerned with.......... Anyway the truck I have (according to Ford Engineer) has the wiring harness for this and it is plug & play...... As far as Ford stepping up I knew they would contrary to the naysayers...... Just like I told the VP of Customer service...Ford hit a home run with this truck.....And I told him even if Ford did not satisfy me on this I would never own a Chevy...Always been a Ford in driveway..Always will be.....
