AZD hybrid delivery truck
joe8737 replied to Joe771476's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
What medium duty market does Ford "have 50%" of?? -
Learn to write...more appropriate would have been, "A year from now..."
-
Since when have Ford's sales risen greatly? http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/090303/auto_sales.html?.v=8 Down 48% from last year??

Where is this dealer? What is the company name? I want to call them or look on their website.

Not sure where you are in the Southeast, but in my area of the Southeast, I haven't seen a new F150, 250, or 350 bought lately unless it is for fleet. A few Silverados but not many of either. Lots are full of both.

What in the HELL...................

That actual quote came from Ronald Reagan....link provided: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trust,_but_Verify This statement is representative of so many on here. No facts just what someone thinks are the facts. -
That looks almost as bad as the Chevrolet...are they competing to see who can look the worst?

Best looking car: BMW 5 series "" truck: current F150 "" SUV: Tahoe "" van: the new Dodge minis Worst Looking car: 1996 Chevy caprice. currently in production: Any Saab "" truck current Silverado / Tundra (tie) "" suv: aSPEN "" VAN: E series

Mr. Jensen, Either you mis typed your info or you are wrong...better check your facts. When comparing GVWR: C4500 is 17,500, F450 is 14,500. I believe the Ford website has mis labeled the GVWR under towing as it should read GCWR. Big difference between the two. I was taught GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) and GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating)
-
http://www.chevrolet.com/trailering/ The C4500 out tows the Super Duty. The Duramax has better fuel economy, more HP, more torque, and is MUCH MORE RELIABLE. The interior / exterior thing is subjective...but I think the Chevy / GMC look better. And BTW how many of you Ford fans realize how long the Ford F Series has been the "low bid truck" for fleets. I purchase fleet vehicles...I should know.

I'm not sure what planet you're living on, but the Taurus / 500 / Sable ...whatever they are calling them today, cannot even come close to the Malibu. Some of you folks on here would defend Ford's products if they resurrected the Pinto...in its original form...
-
Chevy should've gotten one to begin with instead of Saturn.
-
In my area, the Isuzu / GM cabovers sell like hotcakes. You've got to be kidding about the "Duramax isn't as good as the powerstroke" comment.???

Unsettling quote regarding future product

Did some GM executive molest you when you were a kid or what?? Your hatred and lack of objectiviity to them is ignorant. You should throw your darts at Toyota, Honda, Nissan, etc. They are the ones crippling your mighty Ford Motor Company. -
Yeah, most people who have had "good luck" have a cousin, brother, or sister in law's half cousin who has. Or maybe they have left their ambulances sitting and not operated them. I think you're drinking the Ford Kool Aid buddy.
-
I don't think it is luck. Maybe quality control. Blown headlight bulbs...from the factory, a loose cab mount, missing female seatbelt clips, transmission problems.......
-
Sorry, I wnet back and edited mine as well...

Our service has a maintenance contract with Ford. All mtce. was done "in house" by a Ford dealership.. Mtce. has little to do with these engines. Design flaw has more impact. Would you care to venture how many head gaskets our trucks have had? Not to mention airbag units falling into your lap and front ends out of alignment from the factory.....

I have been lurking this site for some time and just had to reply to this topic. I am the fleet manager for an ambulance service and manage 9 ambulances. Up until 2003, we had Type I F350s with the 7.3. From 2003 until now we have had / have 8 6.0 liter F350s. (Still have 2 7.3s) The 6.0 has ruined me on Ford. Mind you, I still drive a 2005 F150, but dang, these things have all had problems....major problems. Not to mention that Ford's "bandaid fix" service has not impressed me either. Our service just ordered 2 GM 3500 Express Type 3s and we will be looking at the 4500 in the spring. Another reason we have not gone with the 6.4 is its regen while parked. My research shows that the 6.4 will regen while parked...the Duramax regens only at certain speeds and not while sitting still. Too dangerous inside a bay or at a scene. A nearby service already has a 6.4 and has had 2 DPFs put on the thing and it is now smoking and has the black tail pipe. Not impressing me. Just my thoughts.
