  1. 18 people who signed up in my plant have better than 90' seniority
  2. In that case, I've been missing out on an A/C work environment for 24 years.
  3. I thought for the most part only final assembly plants are climate controlled.
  4. What are the shifts like, are there crew shifts? Are there area bumps?
  5. I thought about doing the same thing. We got there and saw at the least 50 vehicles in the lot, got inside there was NO ONE in line just a room full of folks standing in the center of the room. We walked to the guy sitting all alone all the way across the room passing out the Voter slips, he didnt check our ID's! We could of flashed this guy a Library card and he looked like he wouldnt care either way, and without a check list it doesnt matter anyway.
  6. 1) Ford Freestar, Production 2004–2007 2) Ford Taurus, (2007-2009) The Fifth generation Taurus was born out of the Ford Five Hundred 3) Chrysler Sebring Convertible, Third generation (2008-Present) For 2008, the Sebring convertible was redesigned 4) Chevrolet Uplander, Production 2005–2008 5) Pontiac Montana, Production 1998-2009 Model year(s) 1998-2006 (US) 1999-2009 (Canada / Mexico)
  7. There is already nearly 1,300 people in ISA/ body and when they are done fitting a couple hundred more in then it will get interesting! Then eventually south body will go back to 2 shifts and you will need at least 90' seniority to stay in the building!
  8. Uh that's not true, there are people from Livonia in Wayne this week and I even personally asked 1 guy if Livonia was his home plant too...
  9. As for Wayne Assembly/Stamping, It seems difficult to determine what seniority it would take to get in. With MTPer's having all return home rights 1st to go through and their seniority doesnt matter, Mtper's are returning with as low as 2000 and possibly 2002 seniority to Wayne. And Then there's the issue of still holding onto at the least 250 to 300 Temps. Also There were only a handful of people with more than 88 seniority and they were cancelled due to return home MTPer's
  10. Has anyones transfers to Wayne Stamping been cancelled?
  11. At Wayne Stamping/ISA. The # of people in body is about 550 and out of that the # of tpt's was at one point last year somewhere between 25-30%, but it's about 100 now due to MTP transfers.
  12. That is pretty pathetic, but now try looking for Local 900~"Michigan Truck & Wayne Assembly"! This is a pretty damn large local to of never had a website, now that is Really Pathetic! While in Rome please enjoy the lack of information!
  13. The Super temps where I work are not really that new to being selected and protected and moved from one local to to other in this zone. There are about 116 temps doing assembly work here since around Jan. 07'. For the majority of them this is their 2nd and if not 3rd Ford local they have been in.
  14. Is that March 99 seniority for Assy. or Body? And do you know how many are going to Body or what kind of seniority?
  15. Wayne/ISA has at the very least 300 temps. Plus the MTP workers were moved to Wayne over a year ago. I would think if MTP had folk in gen that Wayne wouldn't have all those temps.
  16. It is due mostly to the slow economy and the plants layed-off shifts. But if you're already in zone 1, I don't know then what the hold up is. .
  17. Does Wayne Assembly/ISA have over 400 temps and only posted for 60 openings?
  18. On September 13, 2005, Visteon and Ford reached an agreement whereby 17 of the less-profitable Visteon plants and 6 offices would be transferred to an independent business entity called Automotive Components Holdings LLC.
