  1. I can order an F150 and put an option on it that is only available in KC. Some models are only built in Dearborn or KC. I don't know if the Fusion will have something similar, but it is likely.
  2. I don't believe that Anita Decker Breckenridge paid over $19,000 in federal income tax. If she is single with zero deductions, zero contributions towards retirement savings, she is looking at 18.3%. From the irs.gov tax calculator
  3. So if Ford pays Mulally an extra 200K and he pays for the airfare, this make it better for you?
  4. Can't tell if you were going for sarcasm as it is late, but neither of those types of insurance cover repairs. They cover accidents.
  5. You must make a lot more than I did. I'm under 10% federal income with 2 kids and a mortgage. According to this tool - Link - You need to make almost 700K if married filing jointly to get to the 25% mark. Congrats.
  6. Why would I do that to myself to show up a dealership in Paducah KY?
  7. The Valvoline signifies it is not likely a Quick Lane - Motorcraft oil is a requirement. Ford dealers are not required to sell Ford parts or Ford ESP service contracts - but those who do are often more successful.
  8. Jumping in late - couple quick thoughts. 1. The dealership can't bill out oil in increments other than quarts. They are likely on a bulk oil system. 2. Are you sure the repair was completed by the Quick Lane vs the main shop? Quick Lanes recieve co-op money for repairs from Ford, but they are based on the code for the Multi Point Inspection. To recieve the co-op money, the RO needs to be coded Q99P. Your RO is coded 99P - this is normally used for the non Quick Lane operations - the main service drive. 3. The Quick Lane does have additional training requirements for both advisors and technicians - they are not over the top or even difficult - but more than is required at a non Quick Lane shop.
  9. I'm sorry you can't spend the holiday with your family. Hopefully you can find some time with them Sunday thru Wednesday.
  10. Paul Ryan and Bobby Jindal were the two Republicans who I thought would make strong candidates. I think Ryan waits for 4 more years and walks into the job in 2016 following an Obama win this fall.
  11. I'm going to have to try to get my deposits back - things did not work out as planned.
  12. I'm thinking a 5 car garage as I don't want to be over the top. 1. Explorer Sport - Gray 2. SVT Raptor Super Cab - Blue 3. 2013 GT500 - White w/ black stripes 4. Taurus SHO - Red 5. Lincoln Navigator L - Black Wife would use the Explorer as the daily driver, I'd take the SHO. I should probably call the dealer this afternoon to make an appointment for the orders.
  13. I'd think a base Explorer would hold its value pretty well and can be had under 30K.
  14. What is clogging it - bad fuel or pieces of the fuel tank? I won't have much tank left if I'm losing chunks to the filter daily. Key questions - Did they perform maintenance on the vehicles? Did they use a schedule based on miles or hours? What vehicles were affected?
  15. In December 2010 I spoke with the Explorer Marketing Manager and he said the plan was the 3.5 EcoBoost for the 2013 MY. At this point, I'm not sure if anything has changed, but dealers can't get enough of EcoBoost F150's and Explorer is selling well without it. I would not be surprised to see a delay until supply improves or demand for Explorer wanes a bit.
  16. Buddy picked up a white one today. Initially thought it was a Sport. Looks very sharp.
  17. This is what I was going to post. How can there be a sales issue on a vehicle that isn't for sale yet?
  18. Is the company to blame for your speeding tickets, adultry, and childs bedwetting issues as well? How many people in the company did not get in a fight at work that day?
  19. Yoiu bring up a lot of good points - I'll look into them more indepth over the next couple of days. To your points off the top of my head: 1. Agreed - they are not good for a position of emergency at this point. There are times you can shop and times you can't. Who is currently doing the shopping for us now? You mentioned earlier you don't like the lowest bid for a cancer treatment plan or doctor - but how does BCBS, Medicare, or Cigna choose the treatment now? How many other treatments are not being considered due to FDA approval or acturial tables? 2. High deductible plans are part of the ACA - and will be in the exchange and offered by employers. I don't see how health insurance is going to change this - we are not going to not admit a kid to the ER that got in a car accident. We are paying for it and we will continue to pay for it - it just may be distributed differently. 3. The ACA was over 900 pages and members of the cabinet have already states that parts aren't feasible - My link And the linking payment to performance looks like it mirrors our national policy towards education - not something most view asa a success. 4. Do you not trust the private sector to administer services efficiently or fairly? What percentage of health care bills are currently picked up by the government?
  20. I'm glad this discussion has moved towards health care again. I suggest if you have some time you check out the Afforadable Care Act website - http://www.healthcare.gov/ Link I like the timeline and looking at what has already occured and what is on the way.
  21. Just trying to make sure I understand - You are against a high deductible plan and HSAs? They have traditionally been the most affordable of the insurance plans and the only ones that reduce the consumption of health care services. The Obama plan has options where individuals need to pay their monthly premium and the 1st $2000 out of pocket before their benefits kick in. Check out the chart on page 3 - PCIP Link There is concern that due to the ACA insurance companies will not be able to offer HSA supported accounts and rates for health insurance will rise.
  22. And as long as everyone feels that way, there is no incentive for prices to come down and health insurance reform will fail. If you had a catastrophic coverage plan but needed to pay the first $5K out of pocket, you'd shop for the best price/value for a mammogram/physical/colonoscopy. Things work differently when it is your money on the line.
