New form 8910 isn't even on irs.gov yet. They still (as of yesterday) had the 2007 tax year form (dated 1/29/2008, so we should be close).

Finally figured it out, and it's different from either of the above. Hit the "Sirius" button to go into Sirius mode, then hit AUX and Preset1 together. Has to be exactly timed, as if you hit AUX a little before, it switches out of Sirius mode. As it turned out, there was a defective component in mine that the dealership had to replace. Just got it back working yesterday.

My trial apparently lasted 2 days! Took delivery on 11/18, it stopped working on the 20th. Been trying ever since to get it back (2 calls to Sirius, 1 visit to Ford dealer). Neither of the button combos suggested will display the ESN (Sirius + Preset1, Sirius+AUX), and I didn't get a unit ID number with the car paperwork. Any other ideas on how to get this number? I have an appointment for next week to drop it off at the dealer for them to take another crack at it.

I ended up canceling my order from June, got my deposit back, and bought an identical one from Mossy Ford in San Diego for about $500 over my order cost (including shipping!). Supposed to arrive later today. :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

Just wanted to pop in and give some big props to Mossy Ford in SD. I wrote back on Friday that I was going with the local order, and they came back with an offer to pay the entire cost of shipping, AND eat half of the $1K price increase, so it will end up being about $500 over my ordered vehicle. I'm going to get my deposit back tonight, and should have the deal closed by Wednesday. I can probably make up most of the difference by selling my old vehicle outright vs. the lowball trade-in offer I got. :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

Another data point: Ordered June 9, scheduled build date December 1, NE Indiana

Well, after talking to the guy in San Diego, and then contacting my dealer to see about canceling the order, they magically managed to light a fire under somebody at Ford and get me a build date. Scheduled to build December 1, with delivery right around the end of the month. Since the SD car was going to cost me about $1500 more (price increase + shipping), I'm staying with my original order. Worst case, I take delivery in January and lose half of the tax credit, making it a wash.

Just contacted these guys - they have one on the lot that's a near-exact match to the one I have on order. Thanks for the tip!

The folks behind you probably aren't too pleased :P . Seriously, it's heartening to see I'm not the only one with a loooooooooong wait (ordered June 9th), and it gives me hope that mine, too will arrive someday. Just out of curiosity, where are you located? Geography seems to play a part in the wait time.

I've been waiting for a VIN since June. *SOMEBODY* must be buying the damn things, because my dealer isn't getting squat.

Oh, cool. I figured they went 1-10 or something like that. I confirmed yesterday that I've got the first '09 order from my dealership, but they still don't have a VIN or any estimate when I'll get one.

Bump for a question - My DORA says "PRIORITY 10". That's not good, is it?

I ordered mine in early June. As of last week, my dealer still didn't have a VIN, or any estimate when he might get one. :missing:
