  1. I used to have a 2012 Focus HB SEL DCT and I found the same fuel economy situation when using the cruise control. I also noticed that the car maintained the set speed up hill but also down hill (It felt like it applied a little braking by itself) no matter what kind of slope it was going through. I believe that this may affect the fuel economy a little since the car is not coasting freely. When the cruise control is not active and I did have full control of the car, it went downhill a little faster and coasted freely. Does this sounds logic to you all ???
  2. I certainly believe that something is fishy with this writer/article, unless the car was delivered by FORD in that condition, which is hard to believe. The same kind of fueling door used in the MKZ is used in all FORD cars sold in North America. After so many thousands of cars have been sold with the same system, if this is a real issue, then the problem and its corresponding recall will have risen and published a long time ago, isn´t that strange? Maybe this writer is not smart enough to use this simple fueling system and broke the door himself just to rant about it, who knows?!
  3. Lincoln could do this kind of tailgate including the full tailamps, as AUDI does it in its A1 On the A1 as soon as you open the hatch, the supplementary interior LED lamps (red for night/brake and yellow for hazzard/turn) operate simultaneously with the outside taligate lamps. By the way on the black bumper balance there are red reflectors.
  4. At least for the past two years a brand new GM plant in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, has been building the N.A. Chevrolet Aveo and Pontiac G3. It seems logical that they will continue to build small new cars there even if they were designed somewhere else.
  5. However, it is intresting to note that the Ford Transit is a versatile platform/vehicle since is currently manufactured in several versions (different lengths, weight capacities, cargo heights, cabs, etc.), including FWD, RWD and AWD, which I believe incresases its appeal to different kinds of end users by better matching needs/requirements/budgets vs. capabilities and $$$.
  6. It seems Feb 2008 was a very good sales month, but if you compare FORD´s sales numbers for Feb 09 vs Jan 09, you can see that almost all of FORD´s autos and trucks were higher in Feb.!
