Gary, those are great numbers. I've been averaging around 38 during the spring and summer. Last winter I had to work hard to keep it above 30 with the cold. You mentioned L gear, I haven't used mine and was wondering when you use it and how does it help with mileage. There are alot of hills here in pittsburgh and I've been thinking about using L going up to see if it helps with mileage. Your thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Congrat's on the new FEH, I hope you have great luck with it. I thought the new Michelins on these units were supposed to be inflated to 41pounds. I know they are inflated higher because they're high rolling tires supposedly. Michelin made these specifically for ford. I haven't had time to check the website but I do remember the air pressure being substantially higher than normal tires.

I don't find the engine noise intrusive, although you can hear it, the squirrels are working overtime when you put the pedal to the floor. It does have good pickup for a 4cylinder. With the speed sensitive radio it raises the volume to match. Of course when you hear the motor, that's when your burning lots of gas. It turns into a game to see how much you can get it to go into EV mode and how far you can go. My wife says it's going to take an extra half an hour to get places because I'm messing with EV mode. I just got stupid lucky, and I'm not complaining. THe silver will be nice, it doesn't show lots of dirt and should be easy to take care off. No pictures as of yet, don't think I'd be able to figure out how to post them anyway. It's got the navigation, with leather and sunroof and the ambient lighting which is cool, but I don't think I'd have ordered it that way. The women who spec it out and ordered did a nice job, I can't believe she couldn't wait the final two weeks to get it in. The dealer said she was very hostile at the end. Her loss is my gain. I did some figuring on the first three tankfuls of gas I save over $175 in gas over the Toyota Land crusher, how cool is that.

I'd be real curious as to what the quality control issue was! I wonder if they just caught it and those already delivered have the issue and we may not be aware of it.

I have the FWD model and yes I did get 37mpg on first tank mostly city driving. The second tank I did mostly highway 70%, between 65-70mph and I got 32mpg which I'm still thrilled with. It has some pep for the hills although you'll hear the motor working hard. I'm sure you'll use alot of gas going up, but you will make up for it coming down the mountain. The funny thing is you get spoiled with the mileage, when you get 29-30mpg you get upset, when in reality it's twice what we were getting. I'm very please with the ride and the way it handles. Make sure you share your experiences when you get it. What color did you get? Mine is ice blue with the tan leather, very easy to take care of. I got very lucky when I got mine, somebody else had ordered it in april, got tired of waiting and canceled, the dealer called me and I had it within two weeks of signing the deal. I'm sure he charged me the additional price, so it worked out for him, but I'm happy with the deal and I have my Mariner to enjoy.

Congrat's Marcus, you'll love your MMH when it arrives. I got mine about two weeks ago and it's terrificl. I was coming out of a Toyota Land Cruiser 12mpg/16mpg so when I got 37mpg on the first tank full was I ever happy. The nav with sync and sirius is awesome, I hope you got that. Green Lantern, I just tried to register my 09MMH and it won't recognize my vin as well. Hopefully it will be functional in a day or two. Until then I'll just enjoy driving and playing with my new toy. What a nice vehicle this is.
