  1. I think Ford must have increased their marketing budget for Canada. I see Ford Commercials all the time. They're pretty effective too.
  2. Just make the Cougar name relevant again. I am getting tired of blank stares about it even being a car that people wanted once. Call it the Capri from Instanbul to Dublin but in North America it should be a Cougar.
  3. I agree, European cars are weird looking generally I see them as 3/4 versions of NA cars. I appreciate some european premium designs (Audi does have some great stylists) but I find most European midsize sedans to be generic and misproportioned. Ford is on a roll with design lately and I like what I am seeing from them, just keep increasing quality and the market share will increase. Ford doesn't need a premium brand in Europe, it needs to strengthen the core brand As an aside, if the NFL wants exciting Superbowls then they should make sure Warner is a quaterback in them, the 3 best SB's I have seen he's been in
  4. a better warrenty will move low end products but higher end, value added product moves because of reputation. We all know the story about how long it takes to build a good rep. versus how quickly you can have a bad one. I see better days ahead for Ford because they are improving product and quality.
  5. I think that Mulally and company are still implementing the same general plan; switching the NA production bias towards cars. The key to the survival of Ford is profitablity but the million or rather billion dollar question is how to actually achieve this. I'm not a Ford insider but I get the impression that Mulally is trying to wring ever last bit of efficiency he can out of the company and do his best to ensure that every dollar spent goes toward improving product. Of course this is easy to say and hard to do but I think this guy has a workable plan.
