Toyoda is smart they closed there only UAW represented plant and they pay there line workers about 2 dollars more an hour than UAW worker so they can keep the turnover down and keep UAW voted out of there plants What Toyota will do to UAW is kill our Benefits Toyota Honda Nissan give there active employees about what UAW workers get ie yes they have sub pay/short work week at 80% they provide health insurance employee pays 10% and it goes up per dependent Problem is they have no retirees Oh yeah your going to see retirement cut in the next contract and more than likely it will be gone in 2015 by 2015 you will have a 2 tier membership and the ones making half with a 401 k retirement will say FU you did it by allowing me to do the same work you do for half the money and i struggle to feed my family while you bitch about your boat not starting this weekend I have been around and I have found that UAW thinks its immune well your not Before I got a job at Ford I was a Steelworker and thats happened to us GM Ford Crysler can not afford 1+ million retirees and dependents Get used to it UAW now has no retirement for new appointees to international union they get a 401k match ?

Put a Monkey in a vest and give him a walkie talkie and he or she is a Supervisor at Ford Don't forget to teach them how to panic if the line stops FPS Coordinators or Team Leaders run the lines everything with a vest and radio is a waste of money unless its means profit to pay someone with a college degree to pace the floor and panic demand quanity over quality But do we really need 3 stupidvisors watching 1 man doing a repair in station and telling each other over the walkie talkie/radio why theres a line stop? My stupidvisor pays me panics if the line stops paces alot and at the end of the shift brings around a chart showing how many line stops you had And they pay this moron how much ? :shades:

We wouldn't need unions if it wasn't for people like Henry Ford and Alan Mulally there both from the same mold slave driving idiots with a college degree that only care about the status que I am going to commit now I do not think our Union Leadership has sold us out I trully hope I'm right I do not need any of you radical idiots posting on this forum dogging me for Voting Yes but if you feel like you must go for it I do not like Ron Gettlefinger or Bob King nor do I like most of my Local Union Leadership because I honestly believe the have forgotten what its like to work on a Assembly Line They have allowed the Company to manipulate MODAP studies to help cut jobs TASK is something that needs to be gotten rid of along with alot of management that do nothing but look for ways to screw the workers Ford Management salaries and pay cuts need to be made public or at least be available to UAW members because I want to know if there sacrifice is the same as mine In 2011 is when we start throwing UAW Reps out of office if they do not start doing there job now I'm tired of hearing the company has the right to or they can do that The Line Workers as well as the Union Reps need to grow a set of balls after this there will be know more yes from me I will give them this one like it or not I'm voting Yes

They did not steal the Mustange that move was planned with the blessing of UAW with a brand new plant and trees on the roof Ford wanted its premium seller in Dearborn The F-150 was moved there which led to the closing of F-150 plant in Canada and Norfolk Assembly Plant If I remember correctly Canada got a mini van and transfered there F-150 workers to that plant and people from Norfolk was sent to KCAP and DTP If you really want to worry look at your plant location can it be expanded does the company own land around or near the plant does it have major interstate highways and rail systems and airports that handle commercial business close by Google the plants that are expanding and see for yourself KY IL MO MI OH all have access to these major arteries from mexico to canada ? transportation cost is lower they keep parts moving at a just in time basis rather than keeping huge stock piles so assembly plants can run The people that really need to worry are the ones working at visteon johnson controls and lear At 14 dollars an hour they can put Seat IP production back in the Assembly Plants and with the entry level wage and benefits Ford saves alot of money If they insource everything back into the Assembly plants alot of suppliers and there workers lose but its easier to control if the parts are assembled on site with flex manufacturing the assembly lines are less likely to shut down do to supplier problems Just My Thoughts

    Vote the way you want The purpose of this thread is to encourage people to get out and Vote it is not intended to encourage a yes or no vote Strength in numbers when 25 % of a local turns out for a vote it shows the company that we are not organized and Solidarity is out the window No matter how this turns out Yes or No if we all vote the IUAW Local leadership and Ford will know where the membership stands and If you don't like the way it turns out Sorry it's a Democracy live with it and try to make changes another day

  21. I Work at KCAP... We had the flex bodyshop on the F-150 side before 2007 contract We was promised a flex body shop in 2007 for the Escape and was told we was getting the Couga when it replaces the Escape There was contractors everywhere looking stuff over I ran into a old friend of mine that was working for one of the contractors told me they was getting ready to build They put in a new power plant and done alot of work in the ecoat and paint area This was during the 1st set of consessions which KCAP voted down! During the second set of consessions heavy equipment was moved in and we was told there getting ready to break ground on the new bodyshop Problem is after the these consessions was approved the equipment slowly disappeared and rumers started flying around that we was getting the Transit The Transit thats a box with wheels we could build a years worth of those in three months We thought we was getting the Couga now they say that it's going to Louisville I do remember something about the Fusion promises and Fiesta that are already south or going south of the boarder I have seen it said to many times on here and from people that transfered to KCAP from CLOSED PLANTS IF WE DO THIS OUR PLANT MIGHT BE SAVED ? WhipSaw Alan Mulally will fill the plants with 14 dollar an hour workers build a huge supply of cars n trucks force us on strike or lock us out pass out the signs see who crosses the picket lines first and builds cars and trucks my guess is the 30 an hour worker the entry level employees have everything to gain and nothing to lose When a contract vote comes and cuts wages and benefits THE 14 DOLLAR AN HOUR WORKER GETS THE LAST LAUGH a raise and sayes f**k you now i matter Stop the empty promises Ford and Make entry level employees go through the 3 year wage tier you save plenty doing that and a no strike clause on wage improvements might be possible 14 dollars an hour to run your ass off on a assembly get real Management We are not uneducated unskilled idiots you think we are If college makes you smart I'm glad I avoided it A five year old can pace the lines looking for a line stop yell into a walky talky get it going
