  1. The union has the power to force Ford Motor Company to add a shift and hire Entry Level at MAP even though they dont need the cars? Now that $hit is funny, the UAW tells Ford to add a shift here and add a shift there when volume is not justified. hahahahahahahahahahahahahah.
  2. 1) You basically have no seniority. 2) You are in zone 2 3) Van Dyke has been saturated with product and the postings have been filled 4) Sterling has been saturated with product and postings have been filled 5) Many zone 2 on lay off 6) MAP is only 54 miles away from Romeo 7) Take a enhanced moving allowance and cash in on $30,000 It boils down to this: Take this opportunity and earn $28 per hour, with the best benefits of any manufacturer and job security at MAP for years to come OR Let this opportunity slip out of your hands and exhaust sub, tap and benefits. I know what I would do
  3. Great news for the LTS and ACH members A wonderful gift bargained by the UAW to finally gain full time employment for our Brothers and Sisters in this fragile economy. These product investments bargained in 2007 and 2011 are really showing how important our job security is to ALL of us. I am thankful for the UAW during refection of this holiday season God Bless America
  4. Did you really have to start a whole new thread to this topic? You have not "turned over" anything new with your futile attempt to sensationalize the grievance. The 2007 and 2009 agreements were concessionary. That is why King put those letters in both agreements. That is why the grievance is at the arbitration level. The highest level of our grievance procedure There is merit and our grievance will be settled through this Arbitrator Go ahead and mention this should have been settled in the new agreement and show your under-educated on the process of bargaining. The company knows there was a violation and is only fighting to gain mercy from the arbitrator. ]The company is using its only defense of "never admitting guilt" Our grievance procedure has treated us well over the years, thousands of grievances have gone through a arbitrator. Patience is a virtue young one-
  5. Your local Reps are correct. In your situation (active) you are considered step 6 in the new agreement. I would suggest not coming on here for contractual explanations. Most of the posters on here are haters and do anything to discredit and weaken our great union. Your local Reps more than likely get many contractual clarifications from the Region or International and they are your "source" for contract questions. Your local reps swore a oath and care about the members of the local. I suggest to take any "answers" you get here as not credible. Good luck and trust your elected leaders
  6. Clearly a strike or lockout will financially crush most of us within the first 2 weeks. With high unemployment we are at the mercy of the company to return with less than the current agreement we are voting on. A no vote is not worth the risk of this good agreement
  7. The yes votes are starting to secure our future but still too close to call. The no votes will put us into a uncontrollable slide that will benefit Ford of Canada and Mexico
  8. A true reality. The CAW contract negotiation starts in a few months. Any miss step a "no" vote, strike, lockout will put Canada CAW Ford in line for our products. Vote yes to keep UAW work in our plants
  9. God Speed to you at AAI and dozens of other locations that need this $16 Billion in investments and job security. Solidarity is broken and you will only be saved now by the hand of God for many Brothers and Sisters are voting against you. Good Luck my Brother
  10. COLA is included in the $200 per week strike pay
  11. We are following the same path as American Axle Manufacturing,,,, vote no on tentative,,,,, go on strike,,,,, settle for less than the current tentative,,,, lose job. Pretty scary considering this is a damned good agreement
  12. A strike would benefit the company, we would lose $1,000 per week and 10 weeks would be $10,000 The company has 100 day supply and more than likely the company will lock us out only to bring us back for less than what we strike for,,,,,,,,, Sorry but I am voting yes. Good agreement, with Billions of investments
  13. The company would like to go on strike and starve us out into an agreement that is less than what we have now
  14. I dont think they are using scare tactics, I believe they are being honest and transparent that a no vote in a national agreement has some serious consequences that could hurt some if not most of the membership Voter beware of a no vote brings with it serious complications that could spiral out of control Right now everything is controlled to get the most pay and job security in this agreement, voting it down is suicidal
  15. American Axle History repeats itself At Ford This No Vote Push Is Eerily Familiar To the Job Losses at AAM This UAW Ford agreement is taking the same death spiral to a no vote as American Axle. The UAW bargained investments in the UAW represented AAM facilities as well as bonuses and no fixed costs The AAM membership turned it down and American Axle Management decided that it wasn't worth the battle of the membership once voted down to invest billions in the UAW plants and turned to a contingency plan of sending most of the investment to Mexico History is repeating itself again at Ford. If voting “no” there is the possibility of losing many, many jobs including in zone bumping No one is safe Before anyone votes no expect a negative outcome in the form of plant closings (moving investments to Mexico and Canada) Or A lengthy strike at $200 per week and a settlement for less than what was struck in the first place Ford Motor Company is drooling of a strike for history will repeat itself They are ready to put us out for a long time Voter beware
  16. If this agreement is voted down we will be at the mercy of the public and media disgust in the union workforce. This is a good agreement which raises our income, keeps our rate of pay, good benefits a pension and jobs, jobs, jobs If this agreement is voted down there will be no public sympathy and we will see large declines in market share as retaliation. The no voters are putting all of our job security at risk and in jeopardy God I hope this agreement passes for I dont even want to think of plants closing because of the impending public backlash and hatred towards us greedy autoworkers
  17. You can clearly see the "haves" will not support the "have nots". Voting no will put us all in jeopardy No solidarity is evident in the plants with product, sad for the remaining locations that need this work to feed our families
  18. The statement is true. If this agreement is voted down we might as well plan on job losses because of market share losses. The general public and media will kill our jobs with negative reporting and buy from the transplants. This is a good agreement and the buying public has no sympathy for our $28 per hour jobs with the best benefits and pension. Our future is at risk with a no vote
  19. Chucky, The poster that stated we can be replaced if there is a strike over economic issues is correct. Replacement workers will cross the picket line to replace us. 1 day ? 1 month ?? 1 year ??? How ever long a strike takes is a crap shoot. American axle settled for what they struck for and the members were fighting for job security which is what they should have struck. The UAW was successful in gaining plenty of job security for all of us in this agreement. To strike over wages, exactly what you are preaching plays right into the companies hands you stupid fool Thank God the IUAW has vision and a proactive plan to protect all 41,000 of us from being replaced, enjoy our well bargained wages, benefits and pension and most of all our jobs Thank you IUAW for protecting us and a well deserved YES VOTE
  20. UAW Ford Workers at $58 Per Hour Highest Compensated Autoworker In America The IUAW has ensured a good contract for us. They gained product commitments at many locations as well as bonuses, lower benefits and job security for all. At $58 per hour there is no room for further increases in wages. To raise our $58 per hour higher will result in losing future work to lower waged countries like Canada and Mexico. May take some time but it will happen. The UAW has the responsibility of ensuring high wages and make sure we all have jobs Both attained in this agreement To vote no will not get us more and it will not put us on strike. A no vote will cause further public hatred, media frenzy on our entitlement culture and losses in market share A no vote will cause moving wages, benefits and bonuses around where in the end it will be the same compensation. The IUAW will not put us in an uncompetitive position to start losing investment and future products going to lower paid countries To vote no on this good, fair agreement will further push public hatred, media browbeating and the inability to further organize the lower paid transplants A no vote will be devastating to the D3 autoworkers as a whole Voting no will not gain us more income or higher bonuses; it will only hurt our ability to make even better gains in 2015
  21. Pretty clear to me with 6 billion in jobs, $100,000 buyouts which we have never seen before, aws and no restrictions on who and what trades can go there will be plenty of jobs.......... Just vote no and take your chance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Just trying to help open your eyes for your vision is cloudy
  22. The "no voters" could careless about brotherhood.......... they have job security from previous agreements and have no pity for the rest of us>>>>>>> To them solidarity is a one way street
  23. 6 billion in investments, adding shifts and volume, $100,000 skilled buyouts-- Opportunities will be plentiful for trades. Well you could vote no and roll the dice, ---------- that would be defined as stupidity
  24. You better believe the line for scabs will be twice as long if a strike is called
  25. Very good, you are correct in your suggesting that all cant be satisfied. There is only so much to go in the bucket before this work is sourced else where. Not everyone can be satisfied, this agreement is proactive in protecting the entire UAW Ford membership and solid in job security achievements. Mission accomplished
