Hard to believe that there's not way to synch the MyFord Touch calendar with your Google or iOS calendar using some sort of an app. I haven't figured out how to do it if there is a way.

Isn't that circle the set mark for headlight alignment testing machines? My 2007 Honda had them. My Fusion has them.

I'm 5'11" and there's plenty of seat track ahead of me and behind me. I have the telescoping wheel all of the way out. I make great use of the dead pedal on the left. Makes a big difference.

I have never driven a car with an automatic that I was not convinced would be a better car with a manual. I have never not wanted a manual on any car I have rented. (I rent a lot.) I've never driven a shiftable automatic that comes close to a stick. I have never wanted an automatic. I have never owned an automatic. I've never regretted the slight hit I take when I sell a stick. Probably save it in reliability. I smile and secretly thank Ford for making a manual available on the Fusion and making it available in trim options that are anything but stripper. The car is fun to drive, the clutch is right, and sixth gear is for cruising. The car is very quiet, but not so quiet as to not hear the shift points. You can drive it easy or you can make it vroom, vroom. Go for it!

I have a replacement coming. Well, it came in, the dealer made an appointment to replace it, and the dealer had already sent it back. They figured it out after I had dropped the car off and got a rental. This whole deal has been like Keystone Cops. Anyway, I have the moonroof (with touch controls). Build date 10/22/12. The first time I drove the car, as I backed out of the parking place, I noticed wrinkles in the headliner. The more you look, the more you see. I'm a little hesitant about getting it replaced. Seems like quite a major job. I guess they drop the seats and slide the thing in through the trunk? I wonder how long I can wait and still get it done!?

I am right in there with you of the guy who would figure out a way to do $10,000 of damage to a $2,000 bike, a $500 rack, a garage door, and a brand new car! I really like the Swagman I have. It just seems to make more sense to me to firmly wheel mount the bike rather than frame hang it where there is movement. About the Swagman 'branded' one I have.... I bought it from Proline several years ago for $150 delivered. I guess that they don't have it any longer. Bike rack guy here, too. Have a Swagmann rack that carries the wheels in steel trays rather than suspending the bikes like most. Anyone else notice how much reach there needs to be to get into the receiver? This is the Curt with the standard ball mount from Autoanything. Anyway, thanks to ATC Buckeye for being the guinea pig!

Mine does, too. Except.... I have not figured a way for MFT to read texts to me off of the iPhone 5. There is a "not supported" message. (Edit: Thanks to the above poster in another thread and some digging in the Sync Owner site, I found a procedure that should work, but this is straying far off topic for this thread.)

I think that they all require you to remove and discontinue using some of the Fusion's undercarriage "streamlining". I haven't done it because of that reason and the weather. But, spring begins today.... Love my manual! This best trip, I was not hypermiling, not dogging it, but driving 65-75 mph on a non-Interstate 4-lane (US 460) and some Virginia back country twisties. It includes two short stops with the engine idling. Ambient temp about 30F. Hand calculated mileage is very close to the trip computer. Overall hand calculated average is 33.27 mpg.

Although I have been remiss in a full update, I have to say (again) that I am very pleased with the manual transmission and powertrain setup and the electronics on my 2013 Ford Fusion. Just wish I could have gotten the adaptive cruise control!

Mine came with wrinkles in the headliner. Supposed to get a new one installed this week. I suspect that some of the rumors of headliner issues on the early builds were true. I accepted a TBD car that looked like it had been in a desert dust storm for two months. When will I ever learn?

^^ Wow, Cheesy took the words out of my mouth. The 1-2 shifts aren't my normal "smoother than an automatic" shifts. Yet. I've also done a couple of accidental 5->4s when looking for sixth. Sixth could be a tiny bit longer so that fifth would properly be the workhorse. I'm coming from a five-speed Honda that way undersold it's engine. It is equipped with go-cart handling and a nice smooth clutch/tranny with silly gear ratios. It has a stump puller first and a buzzy, whiny, noisy fifth that's just begging for a sixth gear to knock 2000 rpms off the engine. Or, it could a real world "we understand manuals" five-speed. It is neither. The Fusion 6-speed seems carefully chosen for the motor. You ain't gonna get any rubber or accelerate much in sixth, but you could superslab all day with about 2500 rpms on the tach and get there very, very rapidly while just sipping a bit of fuel. Nice car!

Do it. Please! Make them build enough to keep them available. They got the manual transmission right, IMHO. I got 35 mpg on my first 200 mile drive. I drove carefully without hypermiling. On topic, I missed the extra $500 by being one day early..... That was a fitting completion to the 7 1/2 month story of my "Special Order". Make sure they run your VIN, name and zip code through the Vincent system to make sure you get everything you are eligible for.

Well, I just found my original May 25 special ordered "TBD" sitting on the lot of my dealer with a filthy (Dune leather) driver's seat and 86 miles on it. You can tell the car was prepped and is filthy again. Somebody's been having fun. I have no idea how long it has been there. There is a re-ordered Fusion produced on 12/17 that is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Allegedly there's a two month old MT on a train near me.... Riding along with his reordered automatic twin brother made 10 days ago. (Automatic reordered in it's place was "dealer error".) I will post as soon as I get it. No redline vidcaps for now, though!

Congratulations! I like those wheels.They just built my second one on 12/18. Bad thing about it is the reorder got an automatic transmission. I'm a little suspicious that this might have been "accidentally on purpose"...... Etis is showing the first one -- built 10/22 with a 6-speed stick -- as "no campaigns" now. Ought to get somebody to check out what's happening down at the ramps in Mexico.
