I went over a co-workers house today and asked me if "I had seen the flyer put out on the production floor this past week by a co-worker at the body shop that basically ripped the local 600 officials to shreds'. I have not seen it and not sure if I would be out of line for asking someone that has it to post it for me. The content of the letter from what my buddy tells me is very graphic and disrespectful to the people who elected these officials as well as the officials themselves. I dont believe I have ever heard of this done except around election time. Do you think this is what this is all about ? What , if anything could happen to members for bashing their officials?

The same reps? Appointed and ( elected ) lazy assholes who weren't worth shit when they worked the line drive around from building to building dodging bullets like deer on opening day. When their are violations committed by the company these assclowns say " Were gonna sit down with Frank or Rob ,or whoever else the company has in charge at that particular facility and discuss it". Discuss what? Step up and hold them accountable as they do us when we sacrafice safety or miss work for a sick child, etc... No balls at all..thats why, If you have been around for any length of time at some point early in your career you were represented by legit Chairs, barg,safety, so on and so on. You probably witnessed line stoppages by these REAL reps or saw tables and chairs flying, supervisors being put in their places instead of the workers being cussed out or being forced to work outside their classification etc...... Anyway we , (I) do believe this piss poor union (600) is scrared shitless of the company's power and it is the very power that our union once fought for and had many,many years ago.

Wow! I would think that someone 10-12 credits away from getting a BS in buisness wouldn't be so bitter about working the line. Just think, another semester or two and you could be a manager at Burger King where you could get back to your tools. Unless your an electrician, or welder I suggest finish your education and get some resumes' going because your lazy, whinning ass wont cut in production much longer. Did you sign up for CAP ? I know plenty of trades that went to production and accept the fact they may not make it back to trades, so tell me again how willing are you to work? By the way, I'm working on my second degree! Odds are, if I were to take the test your lazy ass would be out another 2 years.

I dont think thats the answer he is looking for Gen, when people turn down available work for whatever reason,especially .... especially, in todays economy it makes many people a little unsympathetic. I guess after sitting on the stool and blogging for 2 years reality starts to sink in and the pink cloud of having representation fighting for you no longer exists. I can almost bet when the phone rang 20 or 30 yrs ago and ford was offering a job they would have sifted through shtt. Now its totally different, people refuse work because its not their trade!!! Remember this, Ford gave us a job , all we have to do is show up and do it.!! Leave out all the rest of the crap, with the representation uaw members recieve these days, my advice would be, Buckle the chin strap up and get in there,dont sit on the sidelines while the game is being played.
