  1. Cyberdman, I would appreciate an update. Thank you. Dealer Code: F44403 Order# T192 VIN# 1FMCU9J96DUA77503
  2. When I ordered mine the rebate was $500, now it is a $1000. I will get the higher rebate. They said I would get whatever rebate/incentive is BETTER at the time of delivery.
  3. I am purchasing my Escape for $300 over invoice. Then I also will get any rebates on top of that. The rebates DO NOT come out of the dealer's profit.
  4. I ordered mine on 6/28. It is suppose to be built 8/10 (I was able to download the window sticker today. It does show a build date of 8/10). The dealer said they have a ETA for the week of 8/20.....I will be anxious to see if it hits theses dates.
  5. Looks Great.....I went with the white platinum....the Ginger Ale was my second choice.
  6. What are the tire specs? Tread wear rating, etc... I see there aren't many replacement options (at this time) to choose for the Titanium Model.
  7. Cyberman, Would you please update me on the status of my Escape Titanium: Dealer Code: F44403 Order# T192 VIN# 1FMCU9J96DUA77503 Thank you!
  8. Probably the only benefit to buying when you purchase the vehicle is you can have the cost rolled into your payment.
  9. GREAT! Let us know how it goes. I got my vin, dealer said will be in end of August. I will track with Cyberdman again on Monday!
  10. Good to hear Ford is doing the right thing and replacing your vehicle.
  11. Anyone here purchase the extended warranty on their '13 Escape? Is so what have you been paying?
  12. When was your Escape built & delivered?
  13. That is very bad news....hopefully you will get the satisfaction you deserve.
  14. I wonder since it is only the 1.6 that has an issue if Ford will increase production on the 2.5 & 2.0 models until they have the problem resolved?
  15. I would be lying if I said that I'm not a little concerned about buying the Escape now.
  16. No problem. I haven't posted here in some time (since my 2011 Mustang order issue) just for the fact I post on a all Mustang Forum now. I recently started up here again because I ordered a 2013 Escape and was looking for a means of information for my upcoming new Escape.
  17. Glad to see their are jerks on this forum too.
  18. It may have only been on the market for a few months in the US, but that doesn’t make the new Ford Escape immune from problems. Ford has issued a recall for 8,266 examples of the new small SUV due to a potential problem with the carpet cladding which could interfere with the vehicle’s braking. The NHTSA said the following in its recalls summary of the problem: "Due to mis-positioned carpet padding, the center console trim panel may be pushed outboard of the intended position, reducing clearance relative to the pedal package. The reduced clearance may result in the driver's foot contacting the side of the brake pedal while transferring the foot from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal, increasing stopping distances and the risk of a crash." There is also a potential issue with the side console trim, which along with the carpet will be replaced in the recall. Ford will be keen to act upon this recall swiftly after the furore that surrounded Toyota and the widely reported recall due to braking issues.
