  4. i owned this car (not the one in the pic) in 1974. This car got 25 mpg in long trips, but driving it around town it got 10-11. Hindsight being 20/20, boy I wish I still owned the car! Monte
  5. Is your truck a 2011? Leather? Just curious because I thought the leather seats were extremely comfortable. Monte

  7. I am looking for any employee that works at this plant that might be in a position to taking a few pictures of my vehicle being assembled. This would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me since I don't think I will ever order a new vehicle again. Any help or direction would appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help. Monte
  8. I truly hope that the quality changes for the better. I know two friends that owned older models that were repair nightmares. I do have to agree this one looks REAL good. I believe the way any product is reviewed in this day and time is a bought issue. It has gotten almost to the point that you cant even believe the enduser because they are paid too! Monte
  9. Bump for an update, please. Hoping a VIN has been assigned. Thanks! Dealer: Order #: Flex AWD Limited, 3.5 EcoBoost, Mineral Gray
  10. Bump for an update, please. (Hoping third time is a charm) Thank you. Dealer: Order #: Flex AWD Limited, 3.5 EcoBoost, Mineral Gray
  11. Bump for an update, please. Thanks! Dealer: Order #: Flex AWD Limited, 3.5 EcoBoost, Mineral Gray
  12. I am truly sad to see this come to an end. I started taking limo services when I travel instead of cabs because the fare was cheaper. No one seems to have a definitive answer to a replacement. Monte
  13. I'm a newbie here myself, but welcome. My wife and I both thought the front side pillars were huge and seemed to block the view. Just curious if that crossed your mind as well. Monte
  14. I suppose I'm going to help the F-series keep that rating come this October. My 1996 F-150 has been and continues to be the best vehicle I've ever owned! I thought about trading it in when I get the new F-150, but I might just keep it for sentimental reasons. They need another class of SUV's: Unique The Flex leads that class. Monte
  15. My job requires travel starting a few months back when we started looking at the Flex, every time I rent a car, I tried to reserve a Flex or at least ask if one is available. I drove quite a few. Rented one for a weekend here around the house for the wife to drive. Heck yeah, this is one cool ride! Monte
  16. Any help is appreciated, as well as your time given I ordered a 2012 last week. I have the dealer number and order number. Dealer: F21405 Order #: 0003 Flex AWD Limited, 3.5 EcoBoost, Mineral Gray Thank you again for this service. Monte
  17. I am in sales/marketing and NO this is not a stupid point. Their whole point is to buy NOW...that's the issue. Ford's timeline is not the customer's (mine) timeline. You forget this in the car business and you become what we all hate; "used cars salesmen"! Monte
  18. All good questions, but I like being somewhat unique, one of the main reasons I ordered a 2012 Flex. Nothing in the EB could be found in my area, so the wife and I decided to just order one that had what we wanted. The feeling about the Flex is either you hate it, or you love it, no real middle ground. All of the SUV / Crossovers looked the same for our taste, so we went with the Flex. I think Ford has a diamond in the rough, just don't let it get lost. I have a marketing background, so I believe there is a strategy for the Flex even if it appears to be misaligned or mis-pointed at a demographic / target market. Monte
  19. Just curious as to why Bono, Sting, and the rest of the entertainment industry is not up in arms about this. They have the $$ to create a grass roots effort against this. Whether they or members of their band (previous or current) play Gibson guitars, the crap is a hit on their livelihood. Monte
  20. I would like to see Ford offer the incentives without an expiration date. Case in point, I was sent a $750 Private Cash when I inquired about the Flex. Since there wasn't a Flex with the options or color available, I decided to order one. There is no way I can use the $750 in time to take delivery. Let me make the decision when to buy. Monte
  21. I was not sure if that was different from the plan I have through MCA. Appears it is all the same. Thanks, Monte
  22. Someone told me that Ford stockholders can be extended x-plan pricing. Is this correct? Are there any other option pricing plans? Monte
  23. I haven't looked yet, and perhaps you might know, does the F-150 3.5 EB require premium fuel? For my Flex, Ford recommends premium, so I am thinking that would be the case here as well. Thanks again for your answers. My brother tows a fifth wheel and is trying to talk me into a 3/4 ton truck Monte
  24. I ordered my 2012 Flex in Mineral Gray a week or so back. It was not really a hard choice between it and the new explorers. Not enough room in the Explorer and my wife really hated the massive left and right pillars. The Flex will be her replacement car for her 1996 Explorer. Just hope to get as good a vehicle out of the Flex as the Explorer. Monte
  25. Hi all, I am in the market for a newer truck to replace my 1999 F-150. I plan to pull a travel trailer weighing GVW around 6500-7000 lbs. I have a lot of questions that my dealer cannot answer. 1. Is the F150 acceptable? (big enough) 2. What option for a rear-end do I need to look into? Thanks, Monte
