  1. Coming from a member of this forum that seems to know and make complete sence of everything and every posts topic. I can only thank you for putting me into that ever growing number of members that have been graced with your complete understanding of everything. Would Candy Cane PHD., suggest some form of continuing education? On my part? Hey, CC you going for some kind of responce record? Pull up BON and all you see is "Candy Cane"..... good luck, I don`t know what the prize is but, dam your well on your way. The new format is going to take a little time to get use too. I for one, while not making any sence, want to have proper spelling of my Jibberish...(Americanized Yiddish) Where is the spell check? Decker 1 of the 1788
  2. All the text messaging and phone calls with the need to talk with any human being about the "A" crew, "B" crew and the answer to Fords need for cheap labor the "C" crew are jamming all the cell phone band width around CAP.... Some here at CAP are starting to see the crap hitting the fan, I refer to the "3 crew" part of the AWS and all the other opitions under this AWS crap. Now dont get me wrong there are those that really want to work "4" days a week. Also there are those that want to work "4" on "3" off or "5" on "20" off or what ever is going on in the Trades.... Then "Reality" !!!!! Well, "4" days a week.... mabye not. Mandatory Overtime, yep 5 days a week. Some of the text messaging involved such questions as, What the hell you mean they can make me (A Crew) come in on Sunday at 6 freckin A...M..??? Look at it like this, what did you really do on the Sunday in between Saturday and a Monday holiday like Memorial Day? Hell the holiday is really Monday anyway. "4" day work schedule yep sounds great. What happens when your work schedule includes let say, a Friday and a Monday? Some other text messages were... How the hell can they make me (C Crew) work NATIONAL HOLIDAYS that falls on Monday or Friday!!!!??? and the phone call that really had a slam of reality.... What do you mean your not sure I can convert my HOLIDAY PAY if I work the HOLIDAY!!!!?? Then the text and phone calls on the topic of "I like the schedule I have now". (starting at 2pm, the current "C Shift") "how do I go about declining my bid for C Crew?"... Then there are the assumptions... Hell, I`ll just bump off this dam "C Crew" now that I have the classification anyway...?? The other assumption... Sunday will be Double Time??? Well, yes if the A Crew and the C Crew work Friday and Saturday together, side by side, then when the A Crew works Sunday it will be DOUBLE TIME!!!! And yes if the B Crew and the C Crew work together, side by side Monday and works Saturday ( if its mandatory), then when the B Crew works Sunday side by side with the C Crew, it will be DOUBLE TIME!!!! Sunday double time really???? One thing for sure, I keep hearing "We didn`t vote for this CRAP!!!" Well, the reality is here. Hang in there CAP. We will see how the Trim and Chassis department do Monday. I feel for those untrained, unknowing young members that just finished their training classes last Friday. As for the Salaried Crew..... get that deer in the head lights look off your faces its.... REALITY... right there in front of you. Now get those numbers!!! Decker 1 of the 1788
  3. Someone got that name calling and judgmental disposition really bad. Come on Armstrong, do yourself a big favor and transfer some where (CAP) that has a brighter future. The stress your showing about your plant possibly closing is going to pop that vein on your forehead..... You might fit in here at CAP but you would have to tone down that International UAW cult worshiping thing you`ve got going on. If you do transfer anywhere, leave the Bob King posters and statues behind. Decker 1 of the 1788
  4. Funny thing this promise that AAI got? AAI to produce "all" of the overflow units of the Fusion.... Has AAI, ran any CD4 prototype units? Funny thing, CAP has run 142 CD4 2013 units prior to the 2013 Fusion (CD4) launch. Yep, thru Body and Paint. Ran the CD4`s thru phosphate, E-coat, prime and enamel. The boy`s were taking measurements and making adjustments to equipment? Hmmm? :shades: Then packed up and sent off to the pilot plant. LAP, KTP, MAP, MTP, KCAP and CAP flexible assembly facilities.... AAI ? Wasn`t there a few promises made before the last voting process..... Decker 1 of the 1788
  5. No one is saying much about length of duty. They are asking the repair people from KTP and MTP to stay till 08 April. Big announcement tomorrow......... ???? Decker 1 of the 1788
  6. Talked to my supplier and told him that the General said I was getting bad shit..... He said anyone that admits they`re a Cubs fan can only get the bad shit. Something about all the good shit goes to the Tigers fans? As far as training for the broom detail, you would first have to see a local Doctor that issues broom licenses. Then practice, practice, practice..(apprenticeship). I never got the hang of it so, they offered me a repair classification. Your right Fatso. After four innings on a sunny hot Chicago afternoon, the women pulling off clothes, jumping around and more than a few ice cold Millers in the belly it is hard to remember all the silly crap that's going on at CAP. Got to know a few members from KTP and MTP this week. Good people, friendly and like that Chicago Pizza!!!! Think they will be asked to stay longer than next Friday? They`ve noticed that our process here at CAP has more than a few problems.... They do have some good stories. Hey,,,,, bfam,,,, soon as I get some of that good shit, I`ll try to work on this,,, comma obsession thing, till then get an ice cold Miller, grab a broom and practice,,,practice,,,practice. Decker 1 of the 1788
  7. ,,,, its, a, FUCUS 8, posts, since, 2005??? Have trouble making a sentence,,,, tard Decker
  8. Hold on, the guided tours to the exit have begun..... B) Decker 1 of the 1788 The packing is done, the hugs and kiss have ended.... the long walk out is over. The new Plant Manager will be from Ontario. Decker 1 of the 1788
  9. Great, to have the new members, here at CAP. Those new sisters and brothers from Twin City's are some good people. We have been blessed to have a few members from Twin City`s that have become very active in the local and are helping their new sisters and brothers, deal with this crazy shit here at CAP. It is a good thing to have members from different plants under one roof, never know when one of them have had to deal with a problem we are having and can give some advice or help by letting us know how they delt with the issue in their former plants. (management is having a hard time dealing with type of information exchange) Pulse, I can`t agree with you more. I, like so many of my sisters and brothers here at CAP hope the decision maker don`t run this plant into a brick wall. Not only do we have all the poor decisions but, now the in fighting has gone to a level where the management people are arguing right out on the floor. :slapfight: (sometimes real entertaining) Hey wake up, Su-FI... one good thing about having so many members from allover the system we know first hand CAP is far from the only place that has Ford working that One Ford Magic.... Damage you gave me way to much credit.... see we here at CAP do everything S-L-O-W... hell, the first day at DTP, I would spend most of the day watching. Yep, I`d be watching to determine which "Limp" gets the best results at DTP. (left leg or right leg) Then the second day I`d make four or five trips to the medical dept.. This would give me time to figure out where I would want to work after I got my restriction. Then, I`d spend at least another day talking to the experts. I would ask such questions as "whats your Doctors phone number?" or "how long after your visit to your Doctor did it take to get to Pre-Delivery?" Then probably another few trips to medical before I stated my 7X12 work schedule with my RESTRICTION...... You see Damage, after a few more years you might figure out that doing something in 5 minutes is way too risky...(ask your girl friend). Besides Unicare pays way less than, 7X12 on restrictions. Now, for the hater`s.... One medical leave yep, one, when they scraped what was left of me off the street, I took almost 4 months to nurse my Harley back to good health. Speaking of doing things slow, dam if I just figured out how to work those pesky, sometimes irritating .... emoticons :yup:  .... as you can see it doesn`t take much to entertain a CUBS fan :hysterical2: All sarcasm aside sisters and brother, CAP is working on some type of STUPID award !!!!! Decker 1 of the 1788
  10. Sir, General, Sir, Sir, by the General`s standards, yes a pure attempt at sarcasm, Sir. Even a good stash can`t make the shit going on at Chicago look any better. Decker
  11. OKAY... :o which one of you squealers... told ????? "You" ...who ever it was, has gone and done it.....now!!! Really, how else did the Glass House Crew ever find out that our decision makers were, to put it mildly "So Screwed UP" :fan: Its been a long time since the Glass House Crew had a sleep over in Chicago. But, there right (always) everything will be better when the food and drink is not out on the production floor. Being focused on "built with pride" (once again right, right, right) (always) means no discussions on the line other than about "bettering the product" or "completing your operational task more efficiently". For those supervisors that do interact with their employee`s, you will be moved so you can nurtured your true sense of hate, so as to interact properly in the "One Ford Way". You squealers had to go and tell.... Dearborn, would have never guessed CAP was screwed up.... I mean come on.. a few extra units sitting around for a little to long or some units not completely assembled or the Op Com members looking for rental space to park units. Really, Dearborn would have never found out. Well maybe...?? Hold on, the guided tours to the exit have begun..... B) Decker 1 of the 1788
  12. Yeah.. Yeah, I know.... "Blessed". I knew, there was more of a reason to love those sisters/brothers of the Trades than just there great chairs and tasty donuts.... Let me try to describe a warm and fuzzy moment, from today`s atta boy/girl session. Seems a heard of local and corporate, muckity mucks were touring the plant today. Seems they were here to see first hand how well we are doing.... By all "reports" from our decision maker at CAP everything is well in control and in speck, so the muckity mucks were here for the high fives, back patting and maybe an atta boy/girl or two. Well,,, seems the reports may have embellished just a bit... Ever seen the look on the face of that muskrat, when he see`s the lights of your car, 50 feet away from his hairy little ass? Okay, now multiply that look by 6 or 8 of the face`s strolling down the Chassis line today. Now that brings me to the warm and fuzzy.... Seems one of the muckity mucks was going on and on about the "DATA" this and the "DATA" that.... on and on about the "REPORT" this and the "REPORT" that... A responding (yep another break down) member of the Trades, must have overheard some of the discussions and some of the talk of D-A-T-A.... because at some (most likely inopportune timing for the muckity mucks) point, I understand the Trades person asked a question..... "Ever Hear the term"... "Garbage in... Garbage out" Now, I understand the muckities just went about there official important business.... Me and most that have been told the story... DAM NEAR WET OUR PANTS !!!!! :hysterical2: See Armstrong, not only are we blessed with Trades members that can think quick on their feet (also in their chairs) we have learned from being CUBS fans to look for the bright spots in a losing season.... Decker 1 of the 1788
  13. Up Date.... How`s... "2" X12 X 6 or 7 sound? Not anything like "3" X 8 X 5 or "3" Crew... Yep, the decision makers started the 12 hour schedule talk, for Pre-Delivery, Repair Wholes, Drivers and all QC members, today. 24 hours of coverage... not 24 hours of Production. Oh Yeah, now we`re rolling. The Little House of Horror`s is now up and running. (MOD Center) One thing for sure, before they pull the center poll out, we at CAP will be seeing some nice direct deposits, before they close the circus down for the season. Dam, if the decision makers don't have this place screwed up...... :titanic: Decker 1 of the 1788 (venting, just venting Armstrong)
  14. The old, "Bait and Switch" that every used car sales person has used on the south side for years..... Tetreault, was a car sales person on the south side (CAP).... I wonder if Bob, fell for it... or...???? What was I thinking... Bob, is for all the new jobs and repeatedly stating the phrase "adding a shift"... hmmm Decker 1 of the 1788
  15. I agree brother this crap is here for a long time.... and yep it sucks!!! Two things to straighten out. First, I`m old so the rhetoric might just be old... Second, nope never have and never will, been a member of American Quarter Horse Riders for years, so I know beating a horse is something people get shot for... oh, just to set the record straight that's a tattoo of a tear on my cheek.... :shades:
  16. Dam, Dam, Dam it !!! I always wanted a Pity Party..... :hysterical2: Armstrong, I have laughed my ass off sitting at this computer so many times. With the help of the posts from The General, Fatso, SU FI and others. It`s a way I get by, young brother. You want to bust a gut Armstrong??? read 60 opening at Avon.... try it, The General will make you smile and I bet if you let it, you`ll laugh your ass off :hysterical2:
  17. You are so right brother, every day the same stupid shit.... all that`s missing is a stuffed ground hog.
  18. Okay... Okay... I GET IT... I really GET IT... Armstrong, you are at a plant that doesn`t have a bright future, I know, I know!!!! I feel your fear and frustration or should I say read it? In past posts you went off with the name calling, I was not offend by that and I`m some what okay with being called an ASSHOLE if you have to vent young brother, if it helps your blood pressure?? But, would you man up and just spell the dam word out.... We are adults here so you can spell ASS. This fear and frustration is getting to you brother.... Someday, you may realize that to much of a good thing might not be a good thing. Ever read anything about how those coal miners had all the work they could work? Some must have been assholes in your opinion, because some of those slackers didn`t like breathing that shit for 14 hours a day.... Have you ever sat and talked with any fellow members that have just been told they have to start a 4X12 schedule? Ever listen, to a Trades member wondering how he`s going to remain a coach for his son`s ball team when his schedule now includes the two days that 90% of the free world consider, as free time? Sitting in the electricians crib talking with other members and a family member (has his own chair and likes donuts, just like other electricians out here, must be in the training??) about the whole AWS thing. I guess you might consider them as assholes too, because we all were pointing out the disadvantages of these AWS schedules. Seems our Trades will be on a different AWS from production. As usual there is no fighting this crab because the national contract has so many loop holes in it. Not only does the contract look like Swiss cheese it smells like Swiss cheese that has spent a week in the corner under your bed. Yes, I GET IT.. Armstrong... you haven`t had to look at a schedule that looks like the one CAP just had the great pleasure of receiving. I`m sure you haven`t had to figure out how to work in a breakfast with a daughter because she hasn`t seen the old man in weeks. Her schedule is one where there are a lot of 9 to 5`s in it. When did these kids become so independent and realize the old man is working a really weird schedule? But, I`m an Asshole? Armstrong yours is not the only world with adversities... It has not been that long ago that we at CAP felt your fear, first hand. Then low and behold, the company decision makers and International decision makers find a way to put you against me and after all the hoop plaa about NEW J-O-B`s and all the product AAI and all the other plants will get we got a contract that to put it "nicely children" SUCKS" yep "SUCKS".... New JOBS...really? Product for AAI...really? There has to be a hole in the contract for that too!! Really, this is just a place to vent Armstrong. Don`t take anything out here to the point you become offended. Vent young brother vent, I know I do. I`m with you Fatso, how long is it going to take for people who earn money by selling time to corporations to realize they, "Republicans" have no use for us other than to work as hard as we can, then die..... Romassholeney just stated he believes we should rise all the social secruity requirments because we are living longer... MAN FOR THE PEOPLE...... the ASSHOLE!!!! General, we had some talk about 3X8 hour shifts per day and the decision makers agreed that discussion was just "Crazy Talk".... and they moved on to some other stupid shit discussion. Pie hole...? really Armstrong, come on you got better than that. Decker 1 of the 1788
  19. I keep hearing, "we should be thankful we have a job", I for one am very thankful..... But, (and there is always a BUTT) is it just me or are the decision makers just slightly confused? 3 Crew or traditional 2 shifts? 4X10 or 5X8? Saturdays,Sundays, 10 hours or 10.7hours? Line speed or cycle time? Ask any three decision makers the same production question and if you only get three different answers you better consider yourself lucky. Paint and Body starts bringing in C crew at 9am. (Tues.?) By Thursday, some where starting at 9am, some at noon. Most going home around 6 or 6:30pm? No C crew 10% shift premium? Then last Thursday it was posted that this Saturday would be mandatory, both shifts, C crew??? We went from 4X10`s (really 4X10.7`s) to 5X8`s (really 5X10`s) and this Saturday. Then the posted schedule for next week.... (one day after International decision makers drops in for a visit??) ready for this? "Mon. thru Fri....10.7hours and Sat.....10hours" Day shift starting time 6am and Afternoon shift 6pm. No mention of "C crew"? International decision makers and Company decision makers have just had an idea.... drum roll please.... Appendix H !!!!!!! well, maybe. no, no, the new MAJOR MODEL LAUNCH language!!!!! Okay, now this new language suspends appendix H...?? which takes out the language that would (under appendix H) restrict the companies right to schedule mandatory over time. Nice??? Yes Sir Ree, we gots us a Completely New Model!!! Police Interceptor!!! Hell, we gots us three other hot sellers too!!! :hyper: Ok, let me get one thing perfectly clear, (listen up haters) crystal clear, I am completely THANKFUL that I work for FORD and represented by the Great UAW... Hell I`m very proud of the company that pushed back from the trough full of our tax money and that Great Union Membership that helped pay for that success story. I am not complaining about the products or the hours or all the money we have a chance to make. Really, I am not complaining!!! Stop, for just a minute, look around CAP.... Are the decision makers doing GOOD things? Are we running on good old common sense? Do the decision makers ask for any input from those other people in the plant. (us) Has there been one day in the last week any decision maker in any department went to the root cause of any concern and (okay, here`s a big one) corrected the issue? Any decision maker, any one of them say. Hey!! lets Stop the MADNESS!!! We have run out of room!!!! to park units!!! Okay, here is my concern, Are the decision makers going to kill this goose, that has given us these golden eggs (current models)? Like I said earlier, Maybe its just me but, (yep, another one) it sure looks a lot like those past decisions that failed to deliver a product to the market place, in past years? How`s things going at MAP? Hope a little better there then here. Decker 1 of the 1788
  20. I have no way of knowing how bad it is anywhere else..... BUT, dam if things at CAP have hit a new level of stupid!!!! Monday, yep 5 days from now, we hear that Body and Paint will start 3 shifts? Not 3 crews? Starting times? Then its said Trim and Chassis will run 2 ten hour shifts? There are two or three people standing by every operation "training"? Management members trying to figure out how to run a zone that they are not sure of where it starts and where it ends. The Trades, those poor souls... cross overs, roller flights, conveyors, 17 break downs in one department, on one shift. All this when we can`t find room to park all the repairs? reworks? no stocks? Group`s of management getting together right out on the floor to have meetings??? Well, when people stop to watch the side show with all the yelling and screaming..... one of the management team will usually state, "its just a meeting". Is it possible that maybe, just maybe no one is real sure where this process is headed. How much more can they squeeze out of these four wall`s, that were built back close to 100 years ago. Machinery, that has been here since the first Taurus. Booths to short, ovens out dated years ago and man power that is so short of experience that no one is sure just what an operation consists of. Operations that change or get added to by the hour. Cycle time??? who knows? I, like so many others have witnessed failure in the past, based on bad decisions, poor planing and implementation that lacked common sense from the beginning. I can only hope one of the many CEO`s, Presidents or CFO`s knows what is really going on in Ford`s money makers. CAP... MAP... KCAP... LAP... etc. We`ve been on this ride for about two years now.... have they headed this roller coaster for the bottom? Decker 1 of the 1788
  21. Yep, there was all this yelling and swearing over in Chassis and there was spare tires rolling all up and down the line. "They" said he or the guy that looks like him, was really upset about the money but, really pissed because they put all the big flat screen`s in the oasis`s instead of the Presidential Rest Room... Someone was saying, "I heard, they said", that he kept clicking his heels together while saying over and over, "there`s no place like Solid House". And everyone knows "THEY" always say whats true. Decker
  22. I thought, I saw him on the spare tire build up in chassis..... But, the women in the Executive restroom were saying he was bidding on one of the premium operations on C crew. Decker 1 of the 1788
  23. The form or paper we all sign is the authorization of Ford to "brick" our checks. The law in question is another attempt to make the UAW get their own money. (Union Busting) This is a way the politician`s can use the membership against the UAW. Its not intended to stop the dues from being paid but, to make it harder for the UAW to collect the life blood of the union. The method of rendering dues was "one" big nightmare for the UAW. Back in the day... each member rendered his or her dues in cash at their hall. Oh Yeah, big problems (lots of cash sitting around) not only for the locals but also the International. Imagine some member getting pissed for what ever reason and yep.... no dues. Or a member on lay off...no dues. Or those members with bad memories... no dues. Or the MAN needs his M O N E Y .... no dues. So, along comes old helpful Ford Motor Com. (and the rest) with the idea... we will be your bag man (southside slipping out, sorry) and all you (UAW) have to do is cash the check. A Great relationship begins.... Those wildly slick politician`s, that want to cause grief for those terrible unions, by trying that "Right to Work Shit", are now pushing to get the union members to do their dirty work.... for them. Its always something.... Decker 1 of the 1788
  24. REGARDLESS OF HOW YOU ARE VOTING, PLEASE EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE! Outstanding, Sister Outstanding, It seems you are going through some of the same issues we here at CAP are having to deal with. We hear, day after day the complaining, most with good reason but, come the 3rd Sunday of the month we can`t even get 80 members to be persent for "their" General Membership meeting.... I and others bring up the subject of local negotiatins and more times than not we are reasured that the company is the reason for not being at the table or then there is the statement that I and other members keep getting in responce to any questions... The 588 hasn`t had a local agreement since 2003...?? So, at this point I, like so many other members are wondering, what is it about local negtiations that, one, it has to be so secretive that a Bargaining Unit wants its members to just vote on something without letting the membership even see the agreement and two, makes a Chairperson so fearful of it, that he thinks it is fine to go nine years without one? Then there is the growing number of local`s without agreements? Local 551 members, any issues in Springs letters sound similar to what we have here at Chicago??? Flat Screen TV`s... Good luck, sister.... we are all going to need it. Decker 1 of the 1788 David Schoenecker
