I guess they were going for a gold kind of color...just doesn't work on a car very well...like yellow, pink or electric green to me.

Those pictures don't make it look very good (it's certainly a color I wouldn't choose for a car like this) but this video seems to show it a little better and it's not AS bad

Lol, of course I'm living with it. I don't care what's wrong with this car, I'm paying for mine in cold hard cash and I'm someone who can afford a car well above this one...AND i'm fresh out of high school lol. I don't care if the car came with rats in the gas tank I'm not canceling my order. It's a good car to me in style and technology. I honestly don't care about safety, number of airbags, steel strength (guess I'm young and naive). But still..doesn't stop me from speaking out for all those who are frustrated. This is a brand new car turning out to have more problems then Ford would ever publicly admit that's all. But it seems people like you in this forum are good to just pretend everything they hear that's wrong with the Fusion doesn't exist until a national recall is actually announced saying brakes don't work..then people will start believing stuff...until then there's nothing wrong with the fusion right? No tail light differences...no headlight problems... no misaligned trunks even though pictures show it...no...of course not...this car's amazing because you ordered it. Oh and another thing Scotty, the whole frame recall thing wasn't a rumor, it was a Veteran's Day joke I created..Guess you didn't get the "JUST KIDDING" at the top of the post so that was a poor example. You should have went with rumors such as ford shipping all new fusions to Michigan for quality reassurance or the titanium being the only vehicle with full wrap-around LED tail lights...oh wait...those aren't rumors..Nonetheless glad to see you referenced something from a post I created! I'm glad you ordered your car in June and still haven't gotten it yet. Makes the rest of us feel much better about getting ours in a timely manner. With the amount of time you've been waiting rumor is you'll be getting your car before December 31st...

Well my salesperson is just about one of the best I could ever dream to work with. I like people that talk to you on a personal level and treat you more as a friend than a customer. We text and email and keep each other up to date with the latest info (I find stuff out about here I tell him about or request further information on). Anyway today he called and wondered if I was still going to Ford Night Thursday from 5pm till 8pm. I said I would. He said great! and would sign me up. He also said his manager would call me to verify I was going and to tell him that [insert salesperson name here] invited me. I'm excited. I know this night will be special in that it will be the only time to get the Fusion at a special introductory price and also I have a chance of winning a brand new Fusion completely free so it's an event I'm certainly not going to miss! Anyone else going to this or know about it? BTW, I know this event has something to do with American Idol, but I do not know to what end yet? I assume it is because Ryan Seacrest has been under contract with Ford to advertise the vehicle for a few months now on their Random Acts of Fusion marketing social campaign. Maybe Fox or American Idol has been contracted out to Ford so the car will be featured on the new season of American Idol as a gift or something idk...find out Thursday and let you know! ,,,,oh yes, and there will be pictures...mwahaha

I'm not advocating anything. That's just what I'm doing..me and anyone else not getting front license plate brackets despite state laws. I walked out of my job right now and looked at the first 10 cars I see and 6 out of 10 don't have front license plates. It's that common..so yeah, I'll take my chances.

My dealer said the bracket and stuff comes seperately packaged and they put it on the vehicle themselves...that's great because i told them to put word in that i DO NOT want it installed on my car. I'll take the risks of getting a ticket and even if i got one i'd just pay it as it's less than $100 then take my changes again lol. It's not really something cops look for here or are constantly checking their rearview mirrors for. People i've read from say they've gone their entire life or many years without ever getting a ticket or only getting ticketed once or twice. i like those odds lol.

No hybrids because of backorder FOR THAT TRIM NOW TOO?...jesus christ ford..what the hell is going on... backorder on auto start/stop for the gas model.....internal recall due to quality control issues... backorder for the fusion hybrid... no sure word on the titanium hybrid or energi's production start/sell date...people not knowing when their vehicles ordered way back to the middle of this year will show up...this is turning into the biggest new car release fiasco i've ever been apart of...and the worst part is the american public is none-the-wiser...orders coming in to ford for vehicles they have no idea when will be created or shipped out..just the promise of 8-12 weeks...well that time is up for thousands of people across america who have ordered many months ago...that time is up for many americans across america who now have no idea when their vehicle will either be created or delivered...this is just turning pathetic. how many other car manufacturers are this hard to order from and get what you purchased? On a much more sarcastic tone it may be better to either get another car (as some people are already thinking) or the 2013 Fusion will be sold as the 2014 Fusion by the time it's ready and people can get it. I just don't know what's going on..you're a multibillion dollar company...how are you unprepared for the biggest launch ever? Not enough parts? Not enough quality? Stop showing amazing images and videos of a vehicle you're unprepared to sell...you're just pissing people off...this car doesn't sound like it's ready to be released at ALL...and with all of these problems god save anyone looking to get an energi in early 2013 as that's when the normal trims will finally be pushing out again.

So is it good to be all-the-wiser or none-the-wiser? It's a simple question on whether you're a person that finds it happier to not know what's wrong or if you're the type of person that prefers to know the facts and make your own decision on what to do based on the knowledge you've acquired.... I certainly think we are more trained to see imperfections on this new car then most because of everyone talking about it, showing close up pictures we gaze over repeatedly because we want to absorb the image and its beauty, etc. Most of these cosmetic blemishes, as some have stated, I'm sure are easily correctable and shouldn't cost anything...and I bet a majority of us may not find anything wrong at all...especially now that Ford is going overdrive on quality control. Sometimes having a major in house recall is all it takes to tell their employees to check extra careful EVERYTHING because we don't want a less than perfect car being shipped out...this is the new face of ford afterall... With all that said, I prefer to not live my life in ignorance and believe knowledge is truth so if there is something wrong with my Fusion..no matter how small...even if it's a misaligned trunk you can only see from 5 feet back from the car..I'd want to know so I can get it fixed if I can..because ONLY THEN will I know my car is a bit more perfect and anyone viewing it as knowledgeable in cars and as keen to what they observe as I am will not stumble upon that blemish. The moral to the story is: most consumers aren't as observant as we are and so the small problems they go home with in their new vehicles don't really exist to them and so they live their lives as happy campers. But those of us that can see the forest through the trees go home just as happy, but with a better quality vehicle....even if it's only better quality to us. We have the knowledge about how cars are manufactured and what can go wrong and that truth in itself allows us to go home with a more ideal, what-you-should-go-home-with vehicle. I'm proud of all of you smarties...I love you and your smart brains....now go out...FIND FIND FIND MORE THINGS WRONG WITH FUSIONS ACROSS AMERICA...... so that I can build my checklist hehe :shades:

Wow...so this is the new face of ford huh...and just when i was defending my first car purchase being a ford from everyone telling me they are horrible...now it's come to all of us finding faults on this car when we spent months finding new features...i'm dumbfounded by how bad each and every one of you that have a fusion already have problems with it cosmetically...i would just chalk it up to "that's just how it is when you mass produce stuff..quality deminishes as you make quantity fast"....but i can only say that if other car manufacturers were selling less than perfect cars as well....it's hard to imagine every car manufacturer are producing cars with cosmetic blemishes this bad....but its also hard to imagine ford is the only one that doesn't make perfect quality cars...so im at a crossroads here between either finding out fords quality really does suck VS. hoping i just get a decent looking car off the truck since no car is 100% perfect.
