  1. My wife has not been altering her driving habits and has been returning around 38 MPG. Without trying to hypermile I can get over 40 every time. If I pay moderate attention to my driving habits it is no problem to get 44-46 (as indicated by the fuel economy screens). My first fillup was just a hair under 44MPG calculating it myself. We got 487 miles out of our first 11.1 gal. Highway mileage is not as good as I had hoped. Highway driving seems to kill my mileage regardless of speed or road. Having driven a few priuses (sic) I feel that it is a lot easier to make the fusion switch into EV mode. I can pull away from a stop and accelerate up to 30-35MPH in EV mode and I have been able to cruise at 61-62 in EV mode. Staying in EV mode and accelerating past 35 though seems impossible, but if I am cruising anywhere under 60MPH and not climbing a hill, all I have to do is let off the gas, wait a second or two then gently reapply and then I am in EV mode.
  2. It arrived last week! We are loving it so far. The one we ordered arrived two days before the inventory order the dealer had placed duplicating our order.
  3. She arrived last week! Great car, we are really loving it. I will have pics for you when I get a chance to import them from my camera. Thanks so much for your help!
  4. cyberdman, thanks so much for the update, it was really helpful! Could I have an updated status please? 3FA6P0LU9DR144775
  5. Wow, I guess my dealer took pretty good care of me. When they became aware of the TBD issue the placed a stock order for a FFH identical to the one I ordered, I get whichever arrives first. It looks like it might be my order though: it went to the railyard in Flatrock on the 27th of November.
  6. 3FA6P0LU9DR144775 I ordered this Fusion hybrid way back in May. It was built and got stuck in the TBD queue. My dealer says it has shipped, I want to make sure they're not leading me on. I would love it if you could check the status for me. Thanks! Jordan
  7. I put in a brocure request, we'll see if I can score the $750 coupon too.
  8. I am purchasing with z-plan and I will be elligible for the $500, was just talking to my dealer about it today.
  9. Want to trade? Bring yours on by and I will let you know when mine arrives. I've been stuck in TBD.
  10. Have you gotten it yet or you trapped in the TBD purgatory?
  11. My Fusion hybrid is replacing a 12 year old Toyota Avalon, and accompanying a '05 Mini Cooper Convertible and 150cc Kymco scooter. Can't wait until the 27MPG Mini is the biggest gas guzzler in the garage.
  12. Sigh, I placed my order with the dealer way back in May. I am afraid I have one of the early ones that seems to just keep getting held and held for "quality" and "inspection" purposes. My dealer told me it would be on the truck coming in Oct 26, but it didn't show. Since then all I get from the dealer is "no new news". All I got from Ford customer relations was the unhelpful following: Hi Jordan! Your Fusion has a VIN, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. It’s currently awaiting shipment while we do quality checks and inspections. Please know, we aim to deliver as quickly as possible; we want you to have it almost as bad as you do. The status date was updated recently, which means it’s had a bit of movement in the right direction! Check back with me next week and I’ll look for the latest news.
  13. Here's what Ford's social networking customer relations rep "Natasha @ Ford" has to say: Hi Jordan! Your Fusion has a VIN, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. ~Natasha I love the phrasing "it's currently awaiting shipment while..." I mean, that could be "It's currently awaiting shipment while we design, prototype, tool up, build, and test it". If it didn't look so good and if the previous FFHs weren't way nicer to drive than a Prius I would have just pulled this order by now.
  14. Talked to my dealer today, he claims that Ford is telling him that there is a backorder on some parts required for our Fusion Hybrid and he currently has no estimated delivery date. Since it is now November if I were to see one pop up at another dealership I can have my deposit refunded and go pick one up off the lot, but so far I have not seen any 2013 hybrids on the lot, just the conventional gas only 2013 Fusions.
  15. Still waiting for it. My dealership said they thought it was coming in last week. Now they're saying something about being held up in a "quality control process". Anyone getting something similar?
