I'm sure you can get great results from simply upgrading each of the speakers. Also, I'm not an audiophile but I have the sony system on my car and I think it sounds awesome.

The 2.0L is the replacement for a V6, yes. I have the 2.0L and have not been disappointed power wise. Not as good economy as I was hoping but I do have a heavy foot. I've heard people post on this forum that the 1.6L has pretty good performance, but I would test drive them both so you can form your own opinion. -
Hmm, I think I might make the switch to full synthetic. Saw this comment on another forum: "I have heard that 'synthetic blend' oils have no required standard (gee who would have thunk that oil companies might want to rip off the consumer), so they can put in 1% synthetic and call it a blend. If you're gonna do synthetic, I'd recommend going for the real deal and not risking what the blend might be. Otherwise, just stick to normal." I also read that full synthetic was better for engines with a turbo since they run hotter. Any truth to those comments?

Is the site still down? I go there and click "manage your sync account" and all it does is take me to syncmyride.com and basically refresh the page.

So which oil type does everyone use: Full synthetic or the synthetic blend? Why do you go with that one?

I think most of us are kind of used to the Apple way of doing things for software updates: fix the bugs and occasionally add new features that work fine on the same hardware you invested in. I realize our car is not a smart phone but I think we should expect Microsoft/Ford to make the system as bug free and user friendly as possible for the features we took delivery of. Since the update is a 3.6, rather than 3.5.x, I think we can expect a more major release than before if they follow any sort of rhyme or reason to the numbering.

They said the fuel filler pipe is what causes us to not be able to fill it to 16.5 gallons?

Agreed there...the salesman raves about how reliable the car is and then the finance guy raves about expensive the car will be to fix if it breaks

Wow, thanks for the info. Yeah I'm not an expert either but I'm pretty sure the car's computer has nothing to do with the fuel pump detecting the pressure/fumes. The only thing I thought the software was for was to re-calibrate the Miles to Empty. Ugh, this is going to be annoying if we have to bring it back again to switch to the bigger tank that should have been there when I took delivery.

So I saw the fix is to obviously swap out the fuel tank for that TSB. I took mine in for the leaky tank recall (topic of this thread) and they have the new tank on order. I'm assuming when they put the new recall tank it will be killing two birds with one stone and I shouldn't have to tell them to swap it out again for the bigger tank right? I just might need to bug them about updating the instrument cluster?

Yeah I let the free subscription run out. I noticed the difference in quality right away for the stations I listen to. FIrst time having satellite radio so I just contributed it to how it is...but doesn't sound like it. Maybe Ford went cheap in some part of the receiver/antenna.

Thanks. So are they going to issue an official recall for this? I can only ever get 11.5-13 gallons when I fill up. How would I have ever known they have a fix if I never saw your post? What is the instrument cluster update for? Recalibrating the MTE?

They said when they are actually swapping out the part they will provide a rental but not for an inspection lol. I asked them to go look into it again because that's pretty ridiculous. Of course, they said this can only be completed on a week day lol. So a weekday with no rental and being single with no other car is pretty rough....Still waiting for a call back from them...

Same here, so I don't really believe the 3000 or even 5000 (as my dealership said) break-in period. I'm pretty much getting the same MPG as day one. My driving technique has improved because of the visual help of the instant MPG but I think that's the main reason for any MPG improvement I've seen. On Topic: I just called my dealership and they want to do the inspection first like everyone said. They said dropping the fuel tank will take all day and they won't even provide me a rental...am I missing something here? This is in no way may fault, shouldn't they provide a rental? (Let me know if there is some unwritten law about this, this is my first new car)

I'm affected: 2.0L, built in November '12. Is this recall for the leaky fuel tank recall, or something else? (maybe fixing fuel economy? EDIT: nvm, looks like hybrids are also getting it too, unless its a common problem...) http://money.cnn.com/2013/06/03/autos/ford-recall/

There are? is this only on the Hybrids? Not that Ford's site is ever really that accurate, but the link below (scrolling down and clicking the sony system) says 12 speakers including one subwoofer. So 11.1? http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/trim/titanium/

I noticed it doesn't stay on...annoying. Whenever I use one mode for awhile and switch back to the other the new one sounds better lol. Pretty sure music is recorded in stereo tho, so does surround make it worse? Any audiophile that can provide input?

I think the Titanium sounds awesome. I listen to a pretty wide variety of bass heavy songs and it performs great IMO. The bass sounds clean and crisp and doesn't distort. But like everyone said, you'll need to listen to it yourself.

And here's the Titanium for comparison....basically the LED's outline the tail light whereas they are reflectors on the other models.

Completely agree. I felt like the driver assist package was good value because you got a lot of stuff for the $1k.
